The shrine has moved
Oct 2019 • Friends
With the move to Nai Lert Park Heritage home, there has been a significant downgrade in the amount of phalluses. I visited 13 years ago and my wife was pregnant the month after the trip, coincidence maybe. Fun story to tell definitely

I wouldn’t visit again as it all seems a bit “flaccid” now

This is in the hotel compound. The Lingam worship is of Hindu tradition. The females come here to worship to get pregnant.

Only for Believers
Jun 2018 • Couples
This is only a small shrine featuring a few stone penises, if you are a believer or follower of the Goddess Tubtim i'm sure it is for you, if you aren't, don't bother. As, it is in the grounds of a hotel, and not something thats really for tourists.

Phallus Shrine
Dec 2017 • Couples
Tubtim Shrine
Shrine of Goddess Tubtim (also called Penis Shrine) in Bangkok, Thailand is a bizarre place of worship for believers who pay regards the goddess Chao Mae Tuptim or Tubtim. Tuptim is believed to be a spirit living in woods to bless those who worship her. The place is also called Phallus Shrine, Phallic Shrine or Tubtim Shrine. It was established in 1920s as a spirit house to protect the property from supernatural beings. Soon it became a place of worship for girls and women who were searching boys for friendship or marriage or women who wanted pregnancy. Women visit this shrine when they are trying to conceive, leaving offerings of lotus and jasmine alongwith small wooden or stone penis down the feet of goddess Tuptim. It is located behind the Swissôtel Bangkok hotel near the bank of the Khlong Saen Saep. In Thailand, the phallus (penis) is considered a symbol of good luck and also a representative of fertility.

Don't bother

We found the shrine quite easily, we were escorted to the sight and offered incense to burn. However it is clearly a relocated site that does not have the interest of the previous location. Maybe in years to come it might.

Not to much to see
Jan 2018 • Solo
Just a small house of spirits with few falic motives, not very valuable for the difficulty to find it. Furthermore is located on a private custodiate place, so you probably should visit the shine with the guardian supervision.

Not an attraction anymore.
Jan 2018 • Friends
Been there 10 years ago at the original location behind Nai Lert Park Hotel and it was really an interesting sight with hundreds or maybe even thousands of phallus symbols devoted by visitors over decades and weather beaten over time. The moved shrine looks totally artificial now at its new location with few phalluses remaining and no charme at all. Absolutely not woth visiting anymore.

Doesn't measure up to its old location.

Recommend taking Som Khit Alley to find the shrine. Its just off the road across the small bridge to the right.

Wireless Road path is blocked with construction.

Lady at the nearby gift shop said most of the wooden offerings were buried after Swisshotel sold the land for redevelopment.

There's only a half dozen of the stone pricks left at its relocated site.

Doesn't measure up to its old location.

NEW LOCATION. Praying for fertility
Jul 2017 • Friends
A group of visiting (female) friends wanted to go to the Shrine for auspicious fertility. After breakfast at Embassy, we made our way to the location shown on googlemaps, only to find a closed road and construction site.

Disappointed, We back tracked a bit and asked the security at Nai Lert heritage home, to be told that the shrine had been moved there.

I think a majority of the "items" have not been moved, but enough for a little prayer, a little picture and at least my friends were happy to have seen it (still waiting for results on the effect of the shrine 👶🏻)

Interesting stop if you're nearby. Bring flower wreath/garland as offering if you wish to do so.

Don't Knock It Til You Tried It

The Chao Mae Tuptim shrine is a "dick" shrine located on the grounds of the Swisshotel. It took us a bit to find it and we eventually had to ask for help. The grounds have been cleaned up, but there are still many many phallic structures. While we were there, a woman came to leave her offering. Small shrine so it should take only about 15 minutes or so to visit.
