Most terrible and worse spa I ever visited..
Sep 2019
Totally regretted not checking the review before going in this spa. First impression as it is beside the hotel we stayed, De Prime @ Rangnam, we thought it looks cosy and is part of the hotel, so without thinking much we went into the spa and reserve for the next day. They requested a deposit of $500 to secure the booking. We never thought much about it, though I smell something a little fishy but never persue. The next day when we went over, we paid the remaining and waited. We booked at 130pm but reached at 135pm. The whole massage started almost at 2.05pm, which was ridiculous. The staff keep mentioning that just wait a while more, the masseurs are coming.. Shouldn't they be there by 130pm when we secured the booking? The staff still has the cheek to tell us we came at 2pm when the time was only 1.55pm. We wanted to cancel as it was a little wait since we have a flight to catch but the staff just keep saying wait wait wait, they are coming... This is when I start to check the review of this place and realized that we seriously made a big mistake by choosing this spa. We try wanted to cancel but they like avoid and ask us to wait. Massage was fine but at the end of the massage after we are dressed up, we were holding the tips on our hand already, but then before we hand them, they are already asking us for tips. We still gave them, but they told us to give 100baht which we were extremely upset with the whole experience and just brush them off saying we do not have 100 baht. I seriously urge everyone who see this, don't even bother walking in to this spa at all.

NO NO NO!

Our hotel (Akara) recommended this place so we thought we were in good hands but were sadly mistaken. It’s overpriced, not relaxing and was a terrible massage. There was nothing relaxing about this experience - they jerk your body around, throw the towel on your body, laugh at you while massaging you, and then beg for a tip after. don’t waste your time or money!

Overpriced crappy massage
Dec 2018 • Solo
When you step into the place, the furnishings will make you feel that you are in good hands.
Then, the staffs bring you their price list that make you curious why is their massage more pricey. Maybe because the masseuse are more skilled, I told myself.
Got the 90 minutes full body Thai massage for 800 baht. Was led to a dimly lit, Cozy looking massage area. Hmm, nice.
I got most of the massage on my foot (around 50-60minutes). I questioned myself, didn't I get the full body massage? It's okay, I told myself. But as the massage goes on, I am asking again, why do I not feel relaxed, just feels like someone is pressing my body...
After the whole massage, I requested for cracking of my knots (which most Thai massage parlour will do). The lady said she can't, and said doing it can injure me. (I'm rolling my eyes internally)
Finally, she kept asking for tips. I wanted to get angry because she didn't do a good job at all. But I don't even want to stay a second longer and I have 100baht for tips.
I felt so cheated by this place. Never ever patronising them again.

I looked up a good massage place in Bangkok and this definitely wasn't one of the recommended places.
We rode a tuk tuk to the intended but the driver recommended this place and due to heavy rain we agreed to come.
1- The 1 hr foot massage wasn't what we expected for 450 THB, nevertheless, the shoulder massage made up for the disappointment.
2- the masseuse asked for a 100 THB tip.
All in all this place is a tourist rip off and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Don’t Go Here Ever, Avoid like the Plague

Firstly you are pushed to choose something very quickly and it’s very highly priced 2,000 baht for 2 hours. We chose the salt scrubs. Then you are rushed into an elevator sent up to what ever level made to strip of and wear their protect underwear things. So before I lay down on the table I confirm with the lady no coffee scrub the salt scrub please, she spoke English very well, I had google translate on standby incase. My husband and I are in the same room getting the same scrub, we lay down on our beds heads in the massage bed holes, starting to get scrubbed, lady x I will call her who was my masseur starts to call me very dirty. I had a shower that morning a swim in my hotel pool a bath to was it all off before jumping in a cab to get here grrr. Breath relax, just relax it’s a massage she probably doesn’t know what she is saying right? Nope, she tells me again I’m very dirty and big lady like Sasquatch, I’m like ok I’m and Australian female about 5’9 guys I’m not that tall and I shower at least once a day. Ok I get in the shower to wash the scrub off and find I am covered in coffee, great just great I have a mild allergy to coffee this isn’t going to end well. Scrub scrub scrub scrub, lady you are taking to long in the shower I’ll just be a few more minutes. Ok I get out of the shower another of those annoying undie changes lay down again. And she starts to massage me hard and I’m talking very hard, so I ask her to go a bit softer and she went harder with elbows and knees like some house of horrors I tense up and she jammed her elbow in between where the shoulder blade joins the back. I went right so a twist knowing full well where she was located and how to throw her I dropped the shoulder and she nearly hit the floor, then and only then she climbed off me and eased off a bit before staring up again. Lastly she got me to sit up she pulled my hand behind my back and put her foot between my shoulders and tried to crack my back and when it wouldn’t crack she was very pissed off, I said it won’t crack that way I’m not relaxed and it won’t pop with tight muscles.
My husbands massage wasn’t much better and
My masseuse insulted my husband calling him a monkey pointing and laughing because of his chest hair.
After we got dressed they kept begging for tips and saying things like we are poor and then laying on being nice, and as you are leaving they start saying bad things agains it’s disgusting. I

Tourist trap... If you want to be scammed and have a bad memory about Thailand, don't hesitate to go to this spa.

We wanted to go to a spa we had researched online and went up to a tuk tuk driver. He kept on pushing to go to this spa because this would be the best of Thailand and blablabla... We gave him the adresse of the spa we researched and he called 'them' and then gave us the impression that he would drive us to the spa of our choice. When we arrived in front of the spa we noticed it was the spa he was pushing about. We finally caved after a couple of minutes because he kept on pushing...

Went in the lobby where some hostess was trying to get us to take the most expensive massage on the menu.

The ladies seemed nice at first and all in all, they gave a decent massage, but still had an iffy feeling about it all. Especially when one of them was giggling and flirting with my boyfriend, calling him a sexy man and to leave a big tip. (??!)

Since it is optional to tip in Thailand, my boyfriend and I were discussing with each other if and how much we were going to tip. We deceided to tip them THB20 each. They saw our amount and laughed at it. "No, no 100, 20 is too small"

Luckily my boyfriend didn't have that much cash on him that moment because she was litterally checking his wallet, looking for bigger bills. I was shocked and wondered where the hell she got the nerve to do that.

Eventually we ended up giving THB90 for both of them but they didn't like it and weren't ashamed to show us that.

They know no shame! Go to this spa at your own risk.

Btw: I saw a cockroach underneath the massaging table! Very grossed out by that aspect as well...

Oh mine worst massage ever
Oct 2017 • Couples
This place has clearly changed the name since my last visit. Asked tuktuk to drive us to a massage place said is the best in bangkok very big blah blah a lot of tourist goes. Pls don't get fooled. The price is okay compared to Sydney paid $33 for one and half an hour Aussie dollars. But for Thailand is expensive as usually only $600 Baht most for two hours But this place charged $800 Baht for 90mins. I had an old lady and she was sleepy.. first she hurted me as it was painful then she pretty much just leg rubbing the whole time and majority of position she is sitting down. Got really annoyed and realised she has spent more than bloody 40mins on one leg and music was playing so loud and annoying. Anyway! We still give them $20 baht for tips which they don't seem happy I actually wanted to give $0! I never had such a worst and irritated massage ever in my life . When we exist we see other tuk tuk drivers drive the poor innocent tourist just like us to there . Worst place ever

Horrible experience

Went to get a foot massage with my teen daughter. The massage was terrible. Not a foot massage but a leg rubbing and passing the time. Not worth the money. E A total rip off. Definately a tourist trap. The overall mosphere was not relaxing. At the end of the massage we were asked for a big tip. We did NOT like this place at all. A total disappointment. Today we went to the Napar massage place close to The MBKcentre and it was fantastic! 250 Baht for an hour of relaxing and we'll done FOOT massage.

Place of an average quality and not very clean. My husband and I had a Thai Massage and asked for a separate room but were taken to the common area. I was quite annoyed with therapists constantly talking and laughing between themselves. Unfortunately I do not understand Thai and had a feeling that they were talking about us. Massage of an average quality, therapists ignored me when I told them when it was quite painful. I weight only 60kgs, and the lady that massaged me was around 65kgs and still stepped on my back with her feet (she was holding the curtain at that time). When I told her that I felt uncomfortable and could not breathe, she only laughed. As unpleasant surprise at the end was direct demand for tips after the massage, they asked 100THB each, and when I refused to give my tips, they showed that they were annoyed with us.
