Good stuff: great way to see Bangkok by night and to be fair the food was very good with so much choice of varying world cuisines.
Bad stuff: I've seen more dignified rugby scrums, to get on board, hoards of people pushing and shoving to get on. The same again when dinner was announced. The cabaret is ok if you like ladyboys dressed as drag queens and very loud singing. So loud we could not talk over dinner. Hideous. Zero talent on display as so called cabaret, I've heard a cat with a banger up its butt make a better sound! Escaped to top deck only to be followed by the drag queens! Don't waste your money, at £40 a head it is soooo not worth the money.

Ten of us joined this river cruise dinner buffet to celebrate the birthday. The scenery along Chao Phraya River was exciting especially for temples and unique buildings. However, the food was very poor with limited amount. Don’t expect quality sea food as advertised. Freshwater prawn is not sea food. Limited portion was offered for sea food and Japanese food on the small plate. Other unlimited food was very common and tasted terrible. This two hour cruise was not worth for 900 Baht per head that we paid. Join the trip if the view is an issue but forget about the food. For us, we will never join this dinner cruise again.....

Booked this as a way to see the City from the river. Reasonable value for money. Slightly chaotic before the boat arrived as there were several companies using the same dock. Not always sure where we should be waiting. It left later than expected. It is a big boat so a lot of people trying to get on at the same time - could be better organised. There were staff taking photos right by the booking office which wasn’t a very interesting backdrop. Maybe they should do them on the boat. Consequently didn’t bother to buy. Buffet lunch had a good choice and they kept restocking. Entertainment was slightly cheesy. Thought there would be more of the Thai dancing and less of the pop singer and lady boys.
Having said all of this we did get a really good view of the interesting sites from the river.

Really don't understand all the negative views, as I booked this cruise for my Mum's birthday and we both had an amazing time. The views on the river are stunning, the food is excellent and the singer we had was both a brilliant entertainer and a lovely person, as she sang Happy Birthday to my Mum. The staff are all friendly and helpful and very attentive to your needs, for example topping up your water. The best part was when the staff brought out a birthday cake for my Mum.

Top tip: book on the top deck for the best views.

As a part of our Ayuttaya tour today we took a bus to see the sites in the town and then got on the White Orchid River Cruise ship in time for lunch. Offered buffet lunch
as soon as we boarded. Food was good although it could have been hotter. Great view from second deck. Really enjoyed the scenery coming down the river from Nonthaburi Bridge on the Chao Phraya River. The cruise ended at the River City Mall in downtown Bangkok.

It was kind of a torn experience. The view was nice and there were some okey dances in the middle of the cabaret. There was almost no options for vegetarians, and the food was cold. I honestly have to say the whole thing was way worse because of the HORRIBLE music! It was two bad singers and bad karaoke on REALLY bad speakers. The performance was not personal or nice at all. And it was SO LOUD. We could not hear each other, and our ears were hurting after. Happy to walk off the boat in the end...

For a 1,500 THB per head. not worth the evening. It is a good experience to have a night spectacular view of the Choa Praya river's attractions. But if you are looking for a quiet dinner with you loved one... DON'T!
The management of the whole cruide tour boat is questionable. No clear instructions on where to line up as the Asiatique area is very crowded. Boat arrives at 19:40 a d there was a stampede for boarding as well as for dining at the buffet. Food served was cold, and the dishes were not up to standard. One cannot term this as buffet as food was not topped up to meet the demand. Entertainment of low quality focusing on Chinese customers and ignoring other nationalities. People helping themselves at the buffet, and nobody noticing how tongs are handled. Free flow of Chang & Singha beer but not worth the wait for long line in between. You only have enough time to get two rounds for a 2 hours ride!
The service of the Myanmar staffs on board are proffessional and excellent.
All in all, a hectic evening and not value for money! I'd rather go to Baiyoke Suite Hotel buffet dinner!

PROS:
Great night views of iconic riverside buildings.
Very steady boat.
Reasonably spaced dining tables.

CONS:
Chaotic boarding of boat - through one boat and onto another!
Chaotic rush when the buffet food was placed out.
Poor quality entertainment.

If you like taking video or photographs, you will have little time to do this and eat. Choices will have to be made.

We were on the top and can only assume this was the best place to book.

i wish i had enough time to go back and enjoy this cruise. i missed the first show because they started the show and serve dinner at the same time. the dinner line was a mess, ok menu but that didn't stop me from enjoying the night. if you booked your tablet on the top deck, get your camera ready to photograph bkk at night and the fireworks. very nice friendly staff

Asiatique Pier was such a nice area to board the cruise. It has a nice alfresco/food pop-up stores dining areas and open area/partly sheltered shopping. We took the Twilight cruise and enjoyed sunset tremendously. The welcome drink, live music and buffet dinner made the experience more pleasurable. Even my young kid took to the stage to dance to the live music. We highly recommend this cruise to family with young and elderly alike!
