Titanium Has Completely Lost It...
Jan 2020
Titanium used to be not a good, but a great spot for good live music from the 2 regular bands Unicorn and Big Boy Band, and they served some of the best cocktails in town. Also used to be packed from around 23:00 onwards. Big Boy Band played better, sounded a lot better and was just better knit together than Unicorn. Sadly they split up quite a while back and they were no more. Have had a break going to Titanium (not since last June) which I have always praised for the bands, the atmosphere and their always great cocktails: After previous visit just 2 weeks ago, I can only say this: Titanium went down and they went fast!! Thursday night.... Lets start with the bands, its almost a joke now. So, Unicorn kicked out their front singer was that about 2 years ago, 5 other band members remained. Today only 1 original member is left, the bass player who I always thought was the best musician of them all. Everybody else gone and they have not one but two lead singers. Wouldn't a name change be in order now, since they are all gone, its not really Unicorn anymore !?? Yeah ladies, its definitely time for a name change. The 2nd band now is I believe The Grumps was their name, also all-lady band. This band has the above-mentioned original Unicorn front singer and they play with a repertoire resembling Unicorn. Hmmmm... The Grumps were playing when we came. They sure need some more time together, they weren't playing as a unit, a little bit off each other at times, especially on the guitar/bass. Bass player btw was giving a show, she might be too good for this ensemble. Sure, they could play overall but just rather ok. A guy I believe was the boss of the establishment was there tonight and he had some friends with him. Suddenly one of them wanted to sing with Unicorn, and another guy took over on guitar. Then another song and after that 2nd, the girls almost had to push for them to vacate the stage. Then another guitar player went on, a Thai guy from some band. Played a single song with the ladies. On this thursday, from around midnight there were probably 15 customers, only to diminish to just 10 customers we counted (upstairs dont know, usually no one sit up there). There were a lot more hostesses than guests. Drinks/cocktails Ordered a White Russian which never fails. But today it did, it came served juuust about half size in the glass of what it usually was. Half size, and 360bht! I asked the hostess, hey come on its half size, whats on with this. She just shrugged. We went thru Singapore Sling, Zombies, Long Island Iced Tea, Mojito. All used to be top notch here but now all were SOUR beyond belief, all had the exact same sour taste of way too much lime juice. The Long Island had no triple sec, it was totally flat and the Mojito was sent back. It was just that bad, not at all resembling what a Mojito tastes like. They didnt even have the courtesy of pouring me a fresh one, nono, same glass came back with added sugar and to our amusement, a small glass of xtra lime juice was on the side. What a disaster!!! In the past, while bands were on breaks, one of the bartenders would be DJ in the small booth beside the entrance, mixing songs in those 15-20 min intervals. Now a guy just walks to the booth, puts up an Ipad, press play and goes back. Right, you dont need a DJ but come on, can you possibly be more lazy and complacent !? Or is it maybe due to the fact that only in the past when Titanium would be PACKED at this time, it was deemed ok having a DJ present. This nights music experience was ridiculous, pauses in between numbers, talking about what to play etc, because two nits wanted to be center stage, change of this change of that. There are 2 bands, let them play! If they invite someone on-stage, fine, otherwise let them do what people come for. Let the music flow, uninterrupted. Prior to this visit I have in the past had to reserve a table on occasion but Titanium's website, their response to emails and requests, are at a ridiculous low. It has always been like that and it shows how little energy is put into customer service and care. The boss that night looked happy enough, being totally oblivious to the reality that 15 customers from midnight says all about how things are flowing....mmm I mean how things are sliding downhill. If he cant see there are major problems with yeah, with everything basically, well then, good luck. To outsiders, music this night looked like amateur night. Cocktails were so bad that had this been my first visit I would never come back Atmosphere kinda lost with just 10-15 guests, with the poor hostesses not knowing what to do. The 2 stars are only given for the bands and hostesses service. Titanic....Titanium has hit the iceberg and is sinking fast, this was our last visit for sure - quite simply due to the horrendously lousy cocktails which spoils the overall experience - but there are other and better vessels of entertainment in Bangkok.

The area
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Ice bar and live music
Jan 2020 • Friends
Give 3.5 stars. Best known for their ice bar located on the second floor. The room is really cold, so you will be in shocked. We ordered some shots.
There are seatings on both floors but it seems that the tables are RSVP.
Live band members are pretty good singers.
4 shots comes out to be 500 bahts.

Fantastic live music, great ambiance
Dec 2019
I almost didn't go to this place based upon some earlier reviews. I guess some people just have bad attitudes. Domestic beers are not expensive, and they are two for one before 10 pm. I'm not a fan of clubs - so the two live bands that played just blew me away. Ignore claims of scam by other reviewers - a Corona Beer is imported in Thailand is about 300 ($9) everywhere in Bangkok. This place is amazing!

SCAM SCAM SCAM
Sep 2019
I been there with a friend on 4th September. We stayed 30min at 8.30PM , no band yet but no problem.

Our order : 1 Corona charged 300THB, 1 Ricard charged 220THB + water 80 THB !!!

WTF it is charged like you are in singapore, this place is dirty, old and not friendly... I been there before 2years ago but never be charged like that.

They will never see me again, and i'm not a tourist in Bangkok. Living here for 5 years.

So please do not go in this trap.

I stumbled into this bar by accident. Well I’m glad I came here because the live music was awesome and drinks were great with excellent service. I recommend this bar on Soi 22. They also have an ice bar upstairs.

Enjoyed an evening here with great music. However didn’t realise the ice bar was upstairs so missed out on that. Would go back again next time we are in Bangkok.

A must see in Bangkok. Just a few meter from BTS station in soi 22, this bar offers nice drinks and live music. A the upper floor you can have a shoot in the ice bar.
When 2 times last week, was very friendly and I appreciate the atmosphere.
I ready to return there....

Nice live bands, ice bar and atmosphere
Jul 2018 • Business
Came to this place about 3 times whilst on business in Thailand, once with work colleagues and two other times with friends I caught up with on the trip. The bar overall is pretty cool, they have live bands and nice atmosphere to sit down etc. Be careful of signalling the ladies otherwise they will think you may want their company and potentially spike your bill with lady drinks etc. I found that the place was full of 40+ year old lonely businessmen, nothing wrong with that, but they weren't as receptive to a group of fella's in their 30s as much as them. Funnily, I seemed to get better service in my business clothes the first time I went rather than when I was comfortable in a t-shirt and shorts (but that's Thailand for you). Ice bar is worth checking out to have a fruity flavoured shot upstairs.

The only thing I was disappointed with was once they had closed at around midnight, and we were immediately asked to leave rather than finish our drinks. Other than that, decent place - again, just be mindful of your bill and keep an eye on it.

Great Cocktails, Good Bands, Great DJ, Happy Atmos
Aug 2018 • Friends
I have been coming here on/off for years, mostly with friends, Caucasian and Thai company. 2-3-4 ppl per visit.

Read other reviews before I post this one and I must say in my experience, over 6 yrs of coming here, I cannot concur with reviewers who tell others to beware of scams etc.

Up until today, bands Unicorn and Boy Band are playing. Boy Band being my favorite, its a little more rocky and the lead singer is great, he is so into it. And the band just works better as a unit. Unfortunately I just heard that they may stop playing due to xyz. What a shame if that holds up to be true.

Unicorn is the all-girl band - rightfully nicknamed 'the best girl band in Thailand', which I believe to be correct. They are great. This band plays most of the time, just about every day with maybe one day off per week.

Bands play cover songs, pop rock. New and old. In between band sets, the DJ sure is getting the vibe going, he is great, playing better mix of music than some discos!!

New bands will do try outs, is the latest news from Titanium. One performing with the former lady co-singer from Boy Band (yeah go figure why Boy band has a female singer) was playing tonight, their first gig here.

Now, about this place being full of working girls (?!), scammers and pickpockets...jeeez.

During 6 yrs, six years....we have never been scammed or had any kind of other incident. Never lost or had stolen any item. Every time you order drinks, the printed bill is VERY clear, indicating exactly what you just ordered on top of previous orders, and grand total is on every bill presented. No doubts.

Pickpockets?!...not in here. Not saying a place is immune to hustlers but never had incident and never heard of anyone who had.

Ladies working in Titanium are not 'working girls' as some reviewers state, they are hostesses. How do they make their money...yes, by getting drinks from customers. How does this happen? By servicing their customers well, and they do a good job.
Some may get better acquainted with certain customers now and then - just as it happens in rest of the world, people hook up. Some hostesses are great, others good, depending on your behavior and manners too. Be courteous and get good service, be a clown and get lesser service. Its a given if you are a whale throwing money around, service is upped at your table. Of course, then they are more attentive. They do not cheat you, as stated regarding the printed bills.

About couples not getting serviced....everybody is serviced the same way, no matter if single or not. But lets get honest, chance of a hostess getting drink(s) is probably bigger when serving a single male or males. But couples get great service too, I can attest to that. On occasion there are hostesses whose english may not be up to par and orders are not perfectly understood. Other than that, no complaints.

Clientele age is on average probably 40-45+, many patrons are 50-60. But lots of younger guests too, lots. Not unusual to see a groups of girls at different tables, letting loose with smiles all over and happy feet, dancing all thru the night. Adds to the atmosphere.

Fridays and Saturdays are naturally pretty well packed and the ambiance is good on those nights. Other days can be a roll of the dice, some days very few people, others have a good crowd.

Drinks and cocktails are outstanding here, top of the line.
Prices are in the about 180-200 for a shot of xxx, a drink is around 250, cocktails go from 320-400 (400 being max alcohol content as in Zombie and Long Island), and for a bar of this type, I think its fine. These prices are the norm today in Bangkok.

For a good time, with great cocktails you can have a ball in here when its crowded.
Want to relax, listen to the band over a slow drink, go on other days than Fri/Sat.
On weekends, you may want to book a table if table is desired.

Lastly I only hope new bands can perform as well as the current bands.
