The place was undergoing renpovation when we visited, and when finished will look fantastic. Nice grounds to wander round. Well worth a visit.

It is under renovation now. Make sure it is finished. I can't add more information because it was covered.

since the temple is under renovation at the moment , not much can be seen - nor were there any signage to guide on how and where to go view the sunrise/sunset

Nicely located by the river, is one of the places you should meet, as you can take the boat in the river and end up there. Recomended.

After spending a month in Thailand, it is very easy to get "templed out", but this one is well worth seeing. The history of this temple makes it very very special. Highly recommend to all to see this. !

It's definitely worth the visit however you won't need to spend much time here as there isn't too much around it. There is a little boat that takes you over from the pier where you go to the grand palace to this temple so it's worth tagging it on to that.

Most of the tourist attractions are on the bank of the chao praya river. Just get a boat ride to all these destinations.avoid the taxi.
