About
ASIATIQUE The Riverfront will be Bangkok’s first large-scale riverside project combining shopping, dining, sightseeing, activities and events under one roof. The strong cultural aspect is what sets it apart from other shopping malls. Embracing history, but avoiding the cultural clichés and traditional symbols, it strikes a balance between tradition and globalization.

Talk about the atmosphere that Asiatique thinks is one of the best places in Bangkok. Because the atmosphere there is next to the river, the air is cool and the wind blows all the time. And the food and the cool atmosphere are very good. During the day, we thought that the atmosphere was good, so we waited until dusk. The atmosphere looks better, more beautiful, more impressive. And I think I will definitely go again.

I usually like to spend an evening during my stay at the Asiatique, stroll around and get some food, but due to Covid, there is nothing to do or see. Almost 90% of the stalls are empty ans closes which looks quite sad. Beside the few riverfront Restaurants, all others closed as well. Not many people there on a Friday night. I feel sorry dor the vendors, but dor now, don‘t go there!

Sadly just having reopened C-19, many stalls are still closed. The waterfront is not as lively but there are people and it is slowly picking up. We are staying in different areas of Bangkok and Thailand. We are doing 2 nights on the riverfront. Last night we had dinner quite late and the area was quiet, stalls starting to close but there were some bars and restaurants open. Tonight we came earlier at 19:00 and it is a lot busier. Nice. I quite like the stalls. I think the previous reviewer mentioned they were bad quality. Yes, maybe a few but there were many with good quality handicrafts and other items. Vendors are quite pushy with sales as they have been in lockdown and desperate for business. I would say come early, walk around and get a bite to eat or drink, there are some cool live music bars! We also did a river cruise. The waterfront area is clean and well laid out. It is like a 'museum' too so read the information boards and have a look at the statues so you can learn too. Gets a bit windy but not chilly. No wifi unless you have a Thai mobile!

Loads of the shopping stalls and stands are closed and those few which were open only sell the cheap market crap unfortunately. Felt it was a waste of time to go there.

Asiatique is a place on the riverfront where there are restaurants, small shops, massage places and other means to spend a nice evening in Bangkok. One can admire sunset or have a pizza at the riverfront. I would go again when in Bangkok. There is also a carousel, haunted mansion and a ferris wheel.

We visited ASIATIQUE the day after it had re-opened, after being closed due to the covid situation & found it to be very quiet, with quite a few shops closed. I'm not sure if this will change in the coming Months, i imagine it may be quite some time, before things return to normal.
There are plenty of restaurants, ranging from the food court (which wasn't too badly priced) all the way up to much more expensive options. Also various clothes & accessories shops.
We decided to have a ride on the asiatique-sky ferris wheel, as they were offering a reopening discount of 50%. From 60M up, at the top of the wheel, you have decent views of the River & also the Sirimahannop, which is berthed here. This is a new addition to the Chao Phraya River & is a large 3 masted sailing ship & very impressive to look at.
Whilst we were there, there was a free Chang music festival/concert on, which we thoroughly enjoyed, even if the weather was horrendous with torrential rain.
Would be interesting to revisit, when things are back to normal & get a comparison to how it was when we visited.

A very nice place to spend an evening with your loved ones. We can call it a more sophisticated night market with other activities to do like giant wheel. It is located next to the Chao Phraya river so it is accessible through the boat as well. The lightings at night makes us feel good. It is an expensive place though. This is not a regular night market and the experience we get is not regular too. Good to see the bird's eye view of teh city from the giant wheel. Decent hangout place in fact.

In fact, this is a modern night market that is neatly arranged according to the needs category. Starting from food, clothing, jewelry and various necessities are available here. It is similar to other Night Markets in Bangkok, the difference is that it is built more organized and modern. Prices here are more expensive than most night markets in Bangkok. Same thing but the price is a bit more because the rent is quite expensive. It is up to you to choose.
