Nice bar
Nov 2018 • Couples
The Pickled Liver wasn't the easiest bar to find and we only persevered because I knew it was at the end of a short soi off Sukhumvit Road as I'd previously read TripAdvisor reviews.
Almost empty at 7:30pm, we chose to sit outside on the terrace. Unfortunately no wheat beer available so we had a pint of Singha each.
You'll need to walk past a selection of massage/girlie bars before you reach the bar, but after a few evenings in the Sukhumvit area you'll become immune to the hassling. As a middle-aged couple we're pretty much ignored in any case!

Great place
Sep 2018 • Solo
Early in the evening there are sometimes not many visitors, but you can still enjoy a quiet pint in a cool environment.
The owner is a relatively quiet, but fundamentally decent man.
I have always enjoyed the quiz on Thursday night.

Sad
Aug 2018 • Business
This is a pretty sad little British Pub. The shrines to George Best are a bit much. Happy Hour sucks. The place has been dead everytime I've visited in the early evening.

Good English themed pub in the heart of sukhumvit
Feb 2018 • Friends
This bar is definitely hidden away. It’s at the very end of soi 7/1 which has a reputation as a sleazy soi. You feel like you are doing the walk of shame when you go there! Be that as it may, this is a great bar to watch footie , rugby, etc. It definitely feels like a pub you would walk into in England.
Lots of good beers and ales available. Food menu is also quite good and features western and Thai food. I went the Thai route on my visit.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit!

Real English pub
Feb 2018 • Solo
This pub is a little hidden away, which is a shame. A truly authentic English pub with everything that will remind you of back home. From the decor to the wide selection of lagers you will feel very welcome here. Come check it out, it's worth a look.

A good English pub hidden on the backstreets
Jan 2018 • Solo
A good English pub hidden on the backstreets. A good selection of beers, ciders, spirits and wines were available and the hotel offered a comprehensive dining menu including Western fare.
The hotel was small but it offered certain charm. The bar staff were friendly.
Certainly recommended.

Great late night footie bar

Nice pub with good menu and well run. One of the few places you can watch the mid-week PL games as tends to stay open until the wee hours. Cheese on Toast is a must with your pint and Thursday Quiz nights busy. Be careful on the walk down as you will be mobbed by girls :-)

My Favorite Bangkok hideout!
Dec 2017 • Solo
I found this place by mistake and keep heading back every time I visit BKK, always soulful place for me to relax, regroup and just be! I have digested so much information every time I go there. I now stay in a recommend place which is great and close! I always meet interesting and unique people there, the owner has genuine character you can appreciate, the cook is great, the staff are pleasant and I just like to relax there before heading out into the street-life at night! This place is all about Soccer (gets busy for games at 1am) and I am not even a soccer fan...ha! Life is all about the good people you meet along the way and I have met plenty in this pub...go there and enjoy. There is also good foot massage on the street, plenty of night shopping near also...be safe. I can only recommend soulfully!

A Bangkok Institution - Must Visit
Mar 2017 • Solo
Amazing pub and staff. Bottom of an interesting soi you will find this absolute gem. Real Ale available and most football games shown, whatever the time of night. There is a kind of George Best theme going on which syncs with the name. Locals and tourists. Landlord can look a bit unfriendly but is in actual fact a very helpful gent.

A little piece of heaven on soi 7/1
Jul 2017
A proper old pub, serving a good selection of beers (although my favourite speckled hen was off) and great food menu. A must visit place in Bangkok, just have to run the gauntlet of BJ shops and massage girls to get there :-)
