Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

Brilliant experience with Raj & the team at Universal Tailors!

I had a brilliant experience with Raj & the team at Universal Tailors. I was only in Bangkok for a few days and needed a bespoke suit made in just 36hrs, and they did this flawlessly, from initial measurements to fitting, it all went perfectly, without a hiccup. The tailoring craft and quality of fabrics were both excellent, as well as the service. I can highly recommend them to anyone requiring a tailored suit, tailored shirts or blazer.

Face Masks

If you're going to wear a face mask with a custom made suit, the mask needs to not only do it's part but look it's part too! They're soft and comfortable, and made with double muslin cotton filters, with a sleeve sewn in them for an additional filter if you chose. I went with the solid color Egyptian cotton. I just called with a follow up email of specifics and it was about a week. Incredibly fast and very well made. In the middle of a world wide pandemic from the other side of the planet! Raj, thank you again. Can't wait to get back to Bangkok and Universal Tailors.

If you are looking for cheap "Armani" suits and price haggling: don't come here. Plenty of rip off places you can go. But if you want the real thing, great quality at reasonable prices, excellent service and professional advice: this is the place for you!
I first visited Ronny & Raj's shop in 2015, during a short lay over stop in Bangkok. I was only there for a few days but it was no problem for them to make a suit, some pants and several shirts. With a perfect fit and 6 years later still in great shape.
A few years later I ordered again during their European road show, visiting Brussels.
Recently I ordered again, all communication via email because of lockdowns. Some adjustments in size based on measurements and pictures, very fast response via email, and then shipped within two weeks (took a bit longer because of holiday season).
Have no doubts: these guys are the real thing, you can fully rely on them to deliver!

You will never find another tailor like them

I’m extremely hard to size properly and was referred by a friend so decided to try them out while they were in town. I needed a suit for a wedding and they had no problem shipping on a short notice. I’m short with a muscular build and the highest rated local tailors would charge triple the price for a lower quality and still awkward fitting suit. I recently started a new job where the average guy is probably wearing an outfit equal to most people’s mortgage and I consistently get compliments on my suits. Save your money and haste trying to find the best tailor around and order from these guys, I promise you won’t look anywhere else.

Fantastic Face Masks - Great Value

A few weeks ago, I purchased 10 face masks from Universal Tailors online. I am very pleased with the product. The face masks are comfortable and stylish. I like that they provide ample protection without being too hot. They also have an extra pouch for your own filter, if you so desire. The adjustable ear ties are also a nice touch, I have been doing business with Ronnie and Raj for several years now. I first encountered Univeral Tailors in February 2016, during my 40th birthday trip to Thailand. I purchased 2 custom-tailored suits which I still wear to this day. A couple years later in 2018, I bought two shirts and a tweed jacket when they were in Chicago for their annual trunk show. They are very nice to work with, some of the kindest and most honest people you will meet. They offer a great product at a reasonable price. As we all know, this coronavirus pandemic has hit small businesses particularly hard. Please support Universal Tailors. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing skill and a great price

Can't say enough about working with Ronnie and Raj. I got their information from a friend who has ordered many items from them, and made an appointment to get fitted for a suit during one of their new york trunk show visits. They took my measurements and when the suit arrived a few weeks later, it was perfect-- all the specifications I had asked for, perfect fit, everything as promised. I immediately ordered a second one. Let it also be known that UT is significantly cheaper than other bespoke tailors; I had used one in New York for a wedding in 2019, which cost me double what my UT suits cost and the product was absolutely awful (I had to get the bride's aunt, who is a tailor, to take in the pants the day of the wedding). Anyway, I just can't say enough about Universal Tailors; I will order many more garments from them!

A+ Tailor in Bangkok

Ronnie and Raj, the proprietors of Universal Tailors, are kind, generous, professional, and make beautiful clothes. I visited them for the first time on a trip to Bangkok from the United States, and since then they have tailored suits, shirts, and pants for me on a regular basis.

I cannot recommend the quality of their clothing or the experience of working with them more highly.

Great Clothing and Service

Universal Tailors has continued to provide great service since I originally visited them in Bangkok. Their yearly visits to the United States are greatly appreciated, and they even recently were able to somehow make my wedding suit via a Zoom fitting. The quality is always great, and I plan to continue using Universal Tailors for a lot time to come.

I went in to get a linen jacket and some shirts made. They had a nice selection of materials and took notes on all the details I wanted. Where I wasn't sure they offered great advice on fashion trends and how the final product would fit my body. The fitting went smoothly with the pieces being available on time. I went in with only a few days before my flight out of Bangkok and there was never any doubt the pieces would be completed on time (with plenty of time for adjustments if they were needed).
