The area
Address
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Hubby and I looked for a place that could accommodate 2 2 hour Thai full body massages in a relatively short notice. Found Vanilla Spa, very clean, nice area of town.
Hubby and I were separated, I had a private room, he had an open room, with curtains for privacy. I had a wonderful therapist. I asked for hard pressure and she complied. Private room, ceiling fan, cool air. My husband did not have the best experience with his location but the massage was good. His mat had no air conditioner and was a little noisy.
We both agree we will return next time. Good value

Relaxing Massage
Apr 2019 • Solo
Vanilla Spa is located along Soi Sukhumvit 39  off Sukhumvit Rd. First impressions are good walking into a small but nice reception  area and greeted by smiling friendly staff. After filling out a treatment preference questionaire, the  massage therapist walked me up to a private room for a Aroma Oil Massage, the therapist applied a nice level of pressure where needed, a very enjoyable and relaxing session followed by a private clean shower on same floor. Overall the experience was very positive,  I recommend you try it out.

Good rooms &gardens ugly beach bad food
Oct 2018 • Couples
It is probably one of the best hotels in Nosy Be . Ocean front rooms are clean well decorated and with tv and mini bar . Perfect. Gardens are also very nice . But food and waiters service is very bad and there is no chance to go anywhere to buy something to it cause you are far away from city .
Due to the tide the beach is also very ugly and dirty anyhow there are nice swiminpools

blog 過高評分。好普通的一個按摩。
Sep 2017 • Couples
因在 EmQuartier food hall 吃東西。
便找找附近的按摩店。
找到幾個版主極力推介。 日本人開,輕柔手法,但中位的按摩技巧。 故 walk in 去。

6pm 到。 715pm 才有位。
只有一位 thai massage 2 hours(bath 550)
及ㄧ位 oil massage 2 hours (bath 1000)
7pm 回店。720pm到房間。
Thai massage 就在三樓 地墊位置以布分隔。
Oil massage

Most Unpleasant Spa Experience
Jan 2017 • Couples
Most unpleasant spa that doesn't worth the money. My wife and me paid 1,930B/ person (original 2,150B/ person) for package of "Relax Body" including back body scrub 30mins+organic aroma oil massage 90mins+herbal ball compress 30mins (total 150mins). We arrive there by 7pm and leave by 9:30pm.

Cons:
1. There are tables set up at the lobby which should've allow you to sit down, have some sort of welcome drink and staff should introduce different treatments/ oils to you. When we went there seems no customers at all. There was no welcome drink and we stood in front of the reception to choose what kind of oils to use. Worst part, we were asked to pay first which is never happened to other spa i have been to in Thailand.

2. Our room is at the 3rd floor I kinda forgot. The light is very bright in the room that doesn't feel relax at all but feel like you are in a public room doing foot massage but actually you are naked.

3. On top, the room is small with no washroom for toilet or shower. After we got naked to had our body back scrub, we only got bath towel and they asked us to go outside to take a shower. My wife went to the bathroom right outside of our room. But I went downstairs (2nd floor) to take a shower. No bathrobes but only bath towel....

4. Masseur were keep chatting during the treatment....we were there to relax...not to learn Thai...

5. For herbal ball compress, those balls were heat up right outside the room, so they just keep going out and come in with the door opened...we were naked and yeah we got covered by towels but it is just not right!

This is definitely the worst spa my wife and I have ever experienced...

the place is average and the range of the services is also average. Spa is good but needs to improve on the structure/ambiance and the range of spa services. all in all a good place on the road side to have spa and relax

Took a facial treatment which was terrible and more expensive than other execellent spas.
Not proffesional. It will take too long to write what was wrong there.
Just, don't bother and enjoy your money spent on other spas

Got gift certificates to this spa from the same friends for yet another Secret Santa exchange. Nothing about this place has ever enticed me to try it even though it is in my neighborhood but I had 4 x 300 baht gift certificates to use. The problem was that two of the four certificates had expired. I had hoped that by speaking to the manager personally, she would be understanding of the lapse [I am away often for business] and she would be savvy enough to make a positive impression on a potential regular client. Nope. And during the wasted minutes of trying to reason with her, I couldn't help but notice how poorly the front desk handled other clients.

Environment and customer service are the gatekeepers of a spa experience. The tired and dusty pinkish interior with cheap cafe furniture are matched by the unhelpful staff. Do your body and peace of mind a favor and walk 8 blocks down to soi 31 and for the same price, get a proper spa treatment.

Pleasant experience
Jan 2012 • Couples
I came across Vanilla Spa by chance when trying to locate a more popular one located around the area (which was closed throughout our stay in BKK. Tired from the long walk, we went in blind to try our luck. My wife and I like the simple and elegant design scheme of the waiting area. Both of us opted for a 2 hr Thai massage. One of the two therapists assigned to us spoke excellent English, which greatly helped in communication. The massage itself was pretty good as well, although my wife found it a bit too painful.

The only gripe we have about the place is that when we were about to leave, the street outside was flooded (from a 2hr rain) to above ankle height, so we requested for the service staff to help us call in a cab. She politely refused, giving the reason that no drivers would come in during the flood. While we were pretty convinced that might be true, we were nonetheless disappointed that they did not even try. My wife eventually got them to sell us some towels (to wipe our inevitably wet feet, to walk out of the street), and they were happy to charge us a premium price for it as well. In spite of the sarcasm, we were still grateful they were kind enough to sell us the towels, which were not meant for sale.
