We went on the 2-day Kingdoms of Siam trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Overall we were very happy with the tour. Our guide Sammy was super! He was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, attentive and took very good care of us (for example bought us traditional Thai snacks inbetween meals). He also took a lot of pictures of us, which was very nice. The driver was excellent; he was very focused and calm even though the traffic was at times bad. Our trip was during New Year’s holiday when people travel a lot so we had to sit in some traffic jams. But we still went through the whole program and didn’t have to skip anything. The organization of the tour was extremely professional. The restaurants we went to were very nice, and the food was delicious. Just a warning, getting from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in two days is very tiring. There is a lot of driving and since we sat in some traffic jams, we spent even more time in the van. We can highly recommend Travelhub, but would suggest that if you don’t need to get to Chiang Mai/Bangkok in 2 days (like us), the 3 day tour might be less tiring.

My partner and I with friends recently completed a cruise through Southeast Asia and we used the services of Travelhub Thailand for our tours out of Laem Chabang port; the tours were excellent and Travelhub was a pleasure to deal with before, during and after the shore excursions. We overnighted in Laem Chabang; on the first day 'The Grand Palace'. The Grand Palace was built as a royal residence and over the years many additions have been made including the stunning Wat Phra Kaew which houses the Emerald Buddha carved out of a single piece of Jade!We traveled to Wat Arun and board a long tail boat for a ride along the Chao Phraya River. On the second day one of our stops was at Mae Klong Train Market where you witness the market vendors goods set up across the tracks of a working railway line. You won't believe what happens when the train comes! Both days were action packed and lots of fun - we saw so much! Our guide (Ms. Mam) was one of the best I have ever had in running a tour. Travelhub is an excellent alternative to ship run shore excursions: small groups, you see much more and pay less.

We have just got back from a cruise on Celebrity Solstice... and one of the best decisions we made was booking with TravelHub for an overnight in Bangkok with Ayutthaya (6-7 November 2024) We opted for a tour just for the two of us and booked an overnight at the Salil Riverside Hotel. Our guide was Ms Sanong... She was amazing... showed us so much and taught us so much about Thailand and Bangkok. She was extremely knowledgeable. Just a pleasure having her as our guide. Thank you so much Ms. Sanong ❤ For anyone thinking of booking with TravelHub... I can highly recommend this company. The communication was always quick and they answered all my questions (and I had many!!) ... Aom at the Admin Office was very pleasant to deal with. What could have been a very stressful experience was PERFECT in every way. We (like every person on a cruise) were concerned about getting back to the ship in time. We requested to be back by 15h00 ... lol... imagine our surprise when our driver stopped the very comfortable van at the ship at 15h00 LOL.... WOW!!! As a suggestion for anyone booking a tour which includes the 'tailboat' trip... if you have mobility issues, this might not be the right option for you, as getting in and out of the boat is a challenge. My husband managed to do this portion of the trip, but I opted to take the ferry across the river and not go on the 'tailboat'. Just something to be aware of, but this in no way took away from this amazing shore excursion we experienced. You can make arrangements before hand to have an alternative if you are concerned.

We did this trip from our cruise ship, our guide Ms Sanong was there to meet us as soon as we disembarked the ship.
The transport and driver was excellent. Our guide was friendly, informative, nothing was too much trouble. She spent the 2 days with us, taking us around all the attractions promised. Excellent meals and restaurant locations on both days.
Would definitely recommend 👍

Booked a last minute private trip for Ancient Ayutthaya and summer palace and was picked up the next day for a great trip. We saw everything we wanted to see and was able to go at our own pace.
Our guide gave a lot of history and we saw all the things we wanted to see. The trip really covers all the sights you want to see for a great experience outside of Bangkok learning about the history of the place. Our lunch had plenty of good Thai food. Overall a really lovely trip to experience Thailand's history in a relaxed and fun way.

Our guide was Sasa and she was GREAT! You can tell she really loves Bangkok. She was very knowledgeable and she brought pictures and map for us to see.
It was a good itinerary for a first time visitor. I feel like we really got to see and experience Bangkok.
The van was comfortable and safe.

My family of 5 (all in our early 30's, and our mom) recently returned from a wonderful 3-day journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai with Travel Hub. I had done some research on tour agencies, and Travel Hub had a professional website and good reviews, so I booked with them and could not have been happier. The price was more than reasonable for a group of 5. Making the reservation via email was easy, although a few of my emails got lost (apparently because one of the tour agents left). The day before the tour started, we received confirmation at our Bangkok hotel that the guide would get us the next morning, just another sign that the tour guide and company are professional at what they do.
Our tour guide (Sukhum) spoke enough English for us to understand, had plenty of energy and a sense of humor, and answered all of our questions. The driver (although he never spoke a word) always replenished the cup holders in the van with ice cold water, and greeted us with smiles and cold towels at the end of our short excursions. Everything was timed perfectly throughout the day. We were given just enough free time interspersed with short guided tours. The most memorable and educational moment was the Bridge over the River Kwai and the museum. If you visit this area on your tour, request the U Inchantree Hotel with gorgeous views of the river and bridge. What a treat! We were also surprised by the beautiful garden-setting restaurants we were taken to for lunch. This was a 5-star adventure. We are very satisfied with our experience and hope you will be too!

We started cautiously with this company as they were not our first choice but were very fast to respond! We contacted some other companies recommended on Tripadvisor but a couple we did not receive answers from and a couple were very sluggish in their responses, But communication with Aor at the Travel Hub office was very easy and fast.
We booked a weekend tour in Bangkok and were taken on Saturday to The small Tha Kha Floating Market. This market occurs only on weekends and is far less commercial than the daily Damnoen Saduak Market. While at the market make sure you take the paddle boat option as one of the locals will paddle you around the canals and take you to a real palm sugar farm. When we arrived they were just pouring the palm sugar into the moulds. In the afternoon we headed out to the mangroves to see some wild monkeys and oyster farm. Be a bit careful about the monkeys as they will swim out to your boat and raid it to get the bananas! The day was finished with a trip to Amphawa Floating market. This was a lot busier than Tha Kha market but again it felt like a very authentic experience as there were hardly any other tourists around. We loved this whole day as we did not see hardly any other tourists. On the second day we took the set one day Bangkok city itinerary which featured The Grand Palace and a very interesting walking tour around China Town. In Bangkok make sure you ask for Mam for your guide!
We did not pre book any tours in Chiang Mai as we wanted to see how the Bangkok tours went first but on the second day we decided to pre book our Chiang Mai tours with Travel Hub Chiang Mai as well. Although we had a different guide in Chiang Mai, the two tours we booked were equally as good as Bangkok, we were provided with a comfortable minibus with free water and cold cooling towels we done their the one day with elephants and a one day Chiang Rai tour. If you are heading to Chiang Rai then the only drawback is that it is a long way to drive in a day. The places we visited were excellent but we did not return to our hotel until 9:00pm.

We used both Travel Hub Chiang Mai and Travel Hub Bangkok after reading the reviews on this site! We are an adventurous couple and usually do not like the escorted tour thing but we choose a tour on this occasion as we wanted to see some of the less visited floating markets outside of Bangkok as well as the Rom Hoop Train Market. Trying to do this on our own would have involved a lot of different buses and we really felt it will be difficult covering all the places we wanted to visit on our own in a single day. We contacted Travel Hub and all our emails were answered promptly by a Mr Matt and he customized a day tour for us to our exact requirements! Kate the guide was super friendly and informative. We requested her after reading many good things about her on this Tripadvisor listing. As well as our tour in Bangkok we also requested a special elephant activity when we got to Chiang Mai. We really did not want to ride elephants and we requested not to bath or scrub them as this is also not natural for the elephants, Travel Hub took us to a lovely elephant Sanctuary called Elephant Valley. This Sanctuary was a long 2 hour drive from the city new Chiang Rai but is reportedly one of the best in Northern Thailand and we were not disappointed. The elephants looked exceptionally content there and is run by a group of Europeans who have been managing elephant sanctuaries for many years. Travel Hub Chiang Mai combined the elephant sanctuary with a vast of some of Chiang Rai’s other attractions and we also saw The White Temple,The Blue Temple and The Karen Long Neck as part of the same tour

Do you do a floating market/River Kwai day trip tour from Bangkok? If so, how much? There are two adults total in our party.

We used Travel Hub earlier this year, and found them to be reasonably priced and reliable. We did do the Floating Market and River Kwai trip in one day, It was a busy day, and we had to leave the hotel early. If you are going to do a site-seeing, picture taking tour, one day is fine. However, if you like to spend a lot of time at each place, as stated above, one day might not be enough.

Hi everyone. Has anyone done the elephant sanctuary/trekking tour? If so, was it any good or worth it?
Written May 27, 2018
Hello! We did the 3 day trek with elephant camp back in january and it was a great experience. We were concerned about all that was being said about elephant camps but were very much satisfied. The elephants were well treated and relatively free. The trek is quite an experience with the tribes. Very low comfort at night but worth the experience. You finish off the last day with bamboo rafting.

hi how do we get visas if we get off cruise ship and do private tours, does anybody know .
Written April 8, 2017
If you are a US Citizen you do not need a Visa if you are going to Thailand for travel and do not stay for months. I am not sure of the maximum time you are allowed to stay but I know it is in the range of many months.
Hope this helps. You can Google: Thailand Visa requirements for US Citizens. I'm sure the info is easy to find.
