Top ways to experience similar attractions

The area
Neighborhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
How to get there

There are so many so-called spas centers in bangkok - difficult to find one that can deliver.

Well Nicolie can.

From the moment you enter you are in a different world.

The beautiful art - the ambiance - the professional staff.

All is perfect

The treatments are also legendary.

The chief of staff was the former head of the oriental spa so you know that there is experience out of the ordinary.

My simple suggestion is

I happen to live here and can not honestly say i go as often as i would like.......

BUT I SHOULD - it is relaxation for the mind and body - wellness at its best

Discovered this place via one of the guide books for Bangkok, and was glad we went there. Nicolie Spa is in Sun Square, between Silom Soi 21 and 23, at the far end from Thanon Silom. From the outside it doesn't look so unusual, but inside was wonderful and peaceful. The walls have displays of Thai antiques, lots of natural wood furniture, and the manner of the staff is so quiet and gentle you'd never know that you're in a noisy, busy city.

The massages are excellent quality, with a shower available before and after the massage (wonderful if you walked there in the Bangkok heat!). I had the 90 minute signature (oil) massage, partner had a 90 minute traditional Thai massage. Great for recovering from a long flight and a few late nights at new year - I fell asleep several times, it was so relaxing.

The price is higher than the local cheap places in Bangkok, for sure, but still cheaper than home (Japan). The quality at Nicolie is in a different league compared to most cheaper places.

Getting there - go via Surasak or Saphan Taksin Skytrain stations, then walk to Sun Square (10 min). Otherwise, take a taxi. It's easy to find with Google Maps looking for "Sun Square Bangkok" - maybe they should add their own marker in Google Maps, there isn't one at the moment.
