Explore the nine-story complex and its themed floors that will transport you from Tokyo to Istanbul to San Francisco, all in one day. The area
Address
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Mall themed by different cities/countries, Italy, Japan, China, London, San Francisco. Very complete with a wide variety of stores and quality products. The restaurant area is also large, it has a food court and other restaurants.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 12, 2024
- AlesjafoxNizhny Novgorod, Russia29 contributionsI advise everyone to visit and have a snack at the food courtOn the 4th floor there is a food court, very clean, the best tom yum, they give you a card, you put money on it and go and choose a variety of food! It turns out cheaper than in a cafe, and the quality is simply excellent, delicious beyond words, everything is clean! You can save money and dine at a great price, the same dishes as in a cafe, but much cheaper! There are juices and desserts and ice cream! A very profitable offer!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 16, 2024
- QalikPrague, Czech Republic66 contributionsAn imaginative mall with a great food courtnice and clean mall, each floor is imaginatively decorated in a different world city. Japanese toilets :-) It's a bit of a labyrinth, finding the way out back to the subway was a piece of cake. A great and very cheap Pier 21 food court. You need to charge a card that can be used in individual restaurants, the unused money will then be returned to you.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 1, 2024
- 角蛙 一2 contributionsRecommendQuarter hotelEach floor is specially designed according to the theme of different countries and regions. There are many Thai specialty shops, including a supermarket on the ground floor, an economical foodcourt, medium-priced restaurants and a cinema on the top floor. If you stay at the Terminal21 hotel, you can enter directly from the shopping mall passage, which is great.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 11, 2024
- Simon D360 contributionsGood Look Around Huge Shopping ComplexLike most things in Bangkok, for first time visitors the Terminal 21 complex is impressive. Directly opposite the Asok Railway Station the access is immediate. The directions to the centre are easy, or just follow the crowds. Once inside, the aircon is a relief, lots of shops to see and visit. There is also a range of smaller more traditional shops, more like one person affairs. There are lifts and escalators to move one between floors. We used the escalators to travel up then the lift to return to the main floor to exit to the rail station. Everyone is polite and helpful, perhaps only the shoppers and tourists one should be wary off. Still great place to visit.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 14, 2024
- Anand SethiHong Kong, China196 contributionsLost its charm mall in BangkokUsed to be the best shopping mall experience in Thailand. Now been taken over by Emquartier. The shopping experience has gone down as most of the time level shops have turned into a bucket shop like wholesale shopping experience with many small shops, the experience is less thrilling than what used to be at the time when it first opened. Its location is excellent with direct access to Asok BTS and a Grand Centre point o. Top of the mall. Lots of eateries…..Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 8, 2024
- macedonboyGlasgow, United Kingdom186,202 contributionsThemed Shopping MallI visit this shopping centre a lot whenever I'm in Bangkok as it's so close to Asok, Sukhumvit and Nana Stations. The levels are themed by country/continents and my favourite is is the Japan level for all the fun statues dotted around the concourse. There is a good mix of international and mid-level brand. There's also a lot of budget shops as well, more than I remember from 10 years back.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 12, 2024
- junior1907Istanbul, Türkiye195,273 contributionsA nice shopping mallI went to this huge multi-storey shopping center on 24.04.2024. The best way of transportation is the metro and there is a connection at the station to enter the shopping centre. There is even HM. There are plenty of food and beverage venues on the ground floor and all kinds of food are available. There is also a supermarket on this floor. Unfortunately, prices here are above average.Visited April 2024Traveled soloWritten April 24, 2024

Obligatory stop in pattaya. We went there basically every day, the first time it was to visit, the other times it was to eat. I recommend Pier 21, a place on the last floor where you can eat good food for absurdly cheap (I'm talking like 40-100 baht at the time of this review). Especially compared to the other restaurants in the same building which will easily charge 5 times as much.

A shopping center right next to the metro station. It doesn't matter day or night, it's always crowded and full. In this shopping center, there are mostly small and affordable shops instead of luxury large stores. It is also interesting that it has multiple floors.

This is a very fun shopping mall. The concept is also fun, with each floor decorated in the image of a city such as Tokyo, London, Istanbul, Paris, or San Francisco.
There are no luxury brands. There are many shops aimed at young people. There are many small stalls and young designers have set up stalls, so you can feel like you're in a market. Thai handicrafts are of high quality and made from good materials, so the clothes and leather products you can buy at such stores are often of good quality.
The food court also has a very street stall feel and is cheap. One plate costs about a few hundred yen.
When it looks like a rainstorm is coming, it's a good idea to spend some time here eating and looking for souvenirs, as it is directly connected to the station.

When you arrive in Bangkok, the weather is hot, so it is best to go to the mall and enjoy the air conditioning. There are many large malls in Bangkok. Terminal 21 is a tourism-themed mall. Each floor is themed after a different country, such as Tokyo, Paris, Rome, etc. Each floor has its own characteristics, which will attract you. There is a Pier 21 food court on the 5th floor of the mall. If you don’t know what to eat, this will definitely help you. This food court is very large and has a wide variety of products. You just need to buy a stored-value card and put money in it. I ordered a few wild dishes, which cost only 200 baht. It is very cost-effective and the quality is good.

Each floor had its own theme, which was interesting. The interior of the toilet and the handwashing station were also quirky and enjoyable.
I stopped by to buy souvenirs before heading to the airport, which was very convenient because I could leave my suitcase for a fee.

A shopping mall with a very good sense of design. The decoration is not very beautiful or high-end, but the terminal is the main line. Each floor is the style of a country or region. The toilets are also designed in a certain style, which is very innovative. Many people are taking pictures. The goods here are also very complete, and the prices are competitive compared to those in China. There are also delicious shops.

Terminal 21 is a huge modern mall conveniently located at Sukhumvit 19, next to the West in Hotel, Asok BTS train station, and Sukhumvit metro station. Nine floors, escalators in every direction, with lots and lots of eateries (a bit expensive for mall/food court food) with most dishes around 250++ baht.
There are floors for home ware, women's wear, lingerie, menswear, with numerous big name brands. Each floor is loosely themed to a different country.
There is also a pharmacy and gourmet expat supermarket on the lowest floor.

Bangkok's leading shopping mall

When you enter the entrance, the escalator that goes all the way up to the 3rd floor is impressive🌈
Each floor has a different concept, such as London, New York, Tokyo, etc.
It's a department store that makes you feel like you're traveling the world🎶✈🌏
The decorations and displays are flashy, and the Thai-style presentation is spectacular and worth seeing
The famous food court is cheap and delicious♥️
It's always full of customers, and there are many repeat customers
It's a spot that can be enjoyed by both locals and tourists🇹🇭🌈✨

The really unique and special feature of this shopping centre is the fact that every single floor is decorated differently, representing a different city and nation.
The Lower Floor, for example, showcases the Carribean and offers lots of food and photo options. The ground floor takes you to Italy and had some really nice and interesting decoration, which definitely left an impression when we stepped inside on this floor.
My personal favourites in this shopping centre were the Japan floor and the huge red bridge on top. It wasn’t too crowded and there was a lot to see – not just stores and cafés, but also decoration and lots of interest spaces!

I happened to decide to go to Terminal 21 because of the bad weather. It is a nice place to shop and eat and spend leisure time. They have designed every floor according to a theme based in specific city like Paris, Rome etc. Though it didn't exactly fit the themes, nontheless the design and amenities are good.
There was a street food market also on at the time and it was fun to explore local food in a comfortable setting. Good place to go if you want a lot under one roof.

No idea! Century 21 is country themed! With the UK on one floor, Tokyo on another and the basement is a supermarket with food stops like Noodles or Thai street food! If it’s your first visit, suggest your start from the top down!
Enjoy! I will be back there in four months and cannot wait!

Which floor is Destiny's cafe in Terminal 21?
Written December 16, 2019
I don’t recall a Destiny Cafe in Terminal 21. I checked the Terminal 21 website but could not find it. You can check with the concierge/info desk at Terminal 21 and they can help you if it’s there. I tried Googling for it and the only one I found is called Cafe de Destiny in Thong Lor in a couple of TripAdvisor posts but they were dated way back in 2012 so it’s possible it does not exist anymore.
