The area

Neighborhood: Ari
Home to at least a dozen hip coffee shops, sophisticated boutiques and some seriously fine restaurants, Ari is the newest epicentre of Bangkok cool. Fleeing from the skyrocketing rents in Thonglor and Ekamai, many young urbanites made Ari their new home. This mostly residential neighbourhood outside the city centre isn't much of a trendy area on first sight, but if you scratch the surface of government buildings and noodle shops, you'll find out that there's loads of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Bring a local friend or do your research on beforehand to avoid missing out on all the fun.

Despite all the good pictures posted on the reviews. There was a sign of no photos allowed at the shooting range. It was disappointing. We couldn't even keep one shell casings after we paid 1,500 BAHT for 50 .38 bullets.

The instructor was nice and informative, but the whole session wasn't that entertaining as we had to follow his instructions quite precisely and it felt like a lesson.

I've been going here for a good few years now and have always had fun and learned something new. The Military instructors are great guys and really make sure you are safe but have a great time. I would really recommend going here if you are interested in a safe firearms experience.

I visited Bangkok Shooting Range with my wife, she was a little unsure about having a go at first, but decided to give it a shot and we both had a lot of fun. The shooting range is located at the military base, and the package included picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel. I've seen some reviews that said they found it to be expensive, but i actually thought it was great value. Compared to the prices to go to a shooting range in Australia it was extremely cheap. We purchased package 4 and they let us share it between the pair of us. This was enough for us but i could see some people getting the thirst for more. The instructors are friendly and give a good briefing on how to use the guns. We felt very safe the whole time we were there. We were offered the chance to shoot a m16 for an extra 2500 baht, whilst it was very tempting we declined the offer. After we were finished shooting the instructors used our camera to take some pics of us posing with the guns, leaving us with a great memento of our time there. I would most definitely do it again

First of all I'm an avid Shooter so this review may not apply to the everyday person. My girlfriend surprised me with this little excursion for my birthday which was so sweet and amazing. She knows I've always wanted to shoot a fully automatic weapon and we were lead to belive this was possible at this location using a colt M-16. However when we showed up. He said it would be 2500 batt for 1 magazine and there would be no discount for subsequent magazines. That is a ludicrous price for 20 rounds of 5.56 NATO. But I thought why not? it's my birthday I might as well spend the $85 to shoot full auto right? Wrong. They then said I couldn't shoot full auto because I might let the muzzle rise too high and shoot through the ceiling. Something a beginner might do which I explained and proved to them that I am not. Alas they said I could shoot on burst mode (2 rounds auto). That also didn't work as the gun kept jamming every burst. So they just kept clearing the jam and reloading the jammed round in the magazine and handing it back to me. I asked why not give a discount for more magazines? They said the rounds are very expensive. LIES. I have a 5.56 at home and rounds are about $0.35-$0.50 Cad.

To sum up: this a rip off, overpriced and the guns are not maintained properly and jam frequently. Don't waste your money! Go to Vegas instead where they have PROPER retired military personally with excellent weapons at a good price.

I guess there's some multi-tier comission involved, as the whole service is basically on shoe-string budget.
Price - please! 2500 per clip? They added about 2000 baht ($70). Question - do I got the 2000 baht worth of service? not even close
The guns. Ancient junk. Seems nobody took care of it.
Safety. I guess you can shoot anybody by accident or for the fun sake. Safety not exists
Support - you paid and its over. I think at lest one person there should be able to put vew words in correct English, otherwise do not deal with foreigners

The Bangkok Shooting range is fabulous fun, you don't have to be a shooter or even have shot before, they have instructors on hand to coach you, the package i took allowed me to shoot the .22 semi auto rifle, the.38 S&W revolver, the .45 pistol, the 9mm pistol and the 12 gauge semi auto shot gun, you can also shoot the AR16 heavy rifle if they judge you to be proficient.
I would definitely recommend the Shooting Range to anyone staying in Bangkok and looking for a fun way to spend an hour, depending on the package you choose it can be pricy.

This was our second trip to Thailand and we wanted to start our itinerary with a bang. Here you get to fire real handguns under the Thai Military experts. Very safe even for grown up kids. You can get to fire pistols, revolvers, shotguns and M16 too. Quite affordable compared to other parts of the world.

I am not adding what other travelers have already written about it, so I recommend this experience for frequent travelers to Thailand to choose this one in their next trip.

Will not have experienced this back home in Singapore.Family enjoyed this very much. Picked up and managed to fire most type of pistols and rifles. Coach and guide are safety conscious and friendly.
Special thanks to Toy, who picked us and send back to destination. We will be back again for next shooting trip encompassed with shopping trip.

I visited Bangkok Shooting Range with 4 friends. The coordination prior to us arriving was efficient and professional. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the shooting range which is located on a military base, a short drive from downtown Bangkok. The staff at the range were very friendly, organised and safety conscious. We got to use three pistols, a rifle, a shotgun and an AK47 - it was a great experience and I believe very good value.

Great fun, but overpriced and not a large range of weapons to choose from. Driving away from the office to a military base was a bit of a surprise, but rest easy knowing you're not being abducted.
