If your looking for good deals on copies this is a good place to shop, heaven for teenagers wanting trainers and brands like off white, boss, Nike, Ralph etc.

Some good stalls on the 1st floor, but don’t buy here straight away head up to 3rd floor at the end is an indoor market style area, this is where you can get good quality and low prices.

If your looking for tech stuff go to 4th floor, most stall offer 2 levels of goods a copy and 1st copy, so make sure you know what your getting, as the lower versions don’t work as well as you would want for example no noise cancellation on AirPods.

There are jewellery and watch shops on 2nd floor, I was sceptical about these, and although I generally trust Thai people I’m not so sure when it come to these stalls.

Arcade on 7th floor hood to kills some time for a fraction of the price at home.

Restaurant all over, offering a range of foods both for Thai food lover and fussy teens.

We visited the MBK last week and after reading the recent reviews we actually discussed if it will be worth our time. Thank god we did because it’s not even close as bad as some people make it seem.
I visited the MBK many times over the past 15 years. Yes, it did change recently and probably because of the whole Covid situation. Yes it also true there are less stores than before but I actually appreciate that. It makes the Center more organised and not as overwhelming as before. We found the cloths we were looking for on the second and third floor. The fourth floor is mainly for Gadgets and phones. We did get a new screen and Batterie for our son’s iPhone and paid a reasonable 2000 bath for both which is MUCH cheaper than what we would have paid for the same at home.
We bought a lot of t shirts, shoes, trousers and souvenirs and the prices are cheaper than what I had remembered from my last stay in 2018. Also the vendors are much more open for negotiations which was fun.
We went there in the morning at around 11 and left at 4 pm and we could have spent even more time, but we got tired.
Overall? Yes it s different from before but still absolutely worth a visit.

MBK Shopping Mall is one of the most popular malls in Bangkok. Here you can find all kinds of goods: clothes, food, suitcases, mobile accessories and ....Downstairs there is a large and good supermarket. Here, the initial price is high, but after bargaining, you will find a suitable price.

Mobile phone repair that caused more problems that did not exist before. Just had a new case installed. During ensuing days saw wifi signal very weak even close to my home wifi router. Also GPS no longer worked. Camera auto-focus and touch focus poor. Returned to shop and they got wifi working again. GPS and camera focus still no go. I was told I must change sim card but had same issues with multiple sim cards in 2 other countries. 30 seconds of google research showed my phone has issues with this because repair techs do not realize they sever the cable that connects GPS antenna and interrupt the rubber frame around camera. I returned to MBK showing them the detailed fix video on youtube but they ignored. I ended up doing repaor myself. Camera rubber frame was completely missing. Bet they inadvertently lost it. A simple aluminum foil strip reconnected GPS antenna. Many shops will call you trying to sell you something. Extremely annoying and I could not wait to leave. I notice prices on 2nd hand laptops ridiculous as they seem to want to scam tourists.

Be careful when shopping for electronic items. Some of the sellers would inflate the items price 3 times the market retail price to trick tourists. Do use google up the item's price for its market price to ensure these dishonest sellers from selling their goods unfairly.

Be aware that shop owners message each other with the colour of their bags. Each bag colour means something within them (easily or hard to be screwed or don’t give discount, they’re time wasters or etc ...). So I’d suggest that you quickly put your shopping away before other shop owners see the colour of the bag. It’s amazing place and as a matter of fact overwhelming how much stuff is packed in there but I unfortunately almost everything in there is fake (well I knew before I walked in) but the worst thing about it (in my opinion) was the prices were so inconsistent between each shop and nothing , nothing at all was priced. It means they’ll come up with a number according to your look and appearance and also as mentioned above the colour of the shopping bag if you have purchased something earlier. So I liked the variety and amount of stuff were in one place but absolutely hate their setup and next to none transparency

If you are looking for souvenirs such as fridge magnets and ornaments and clothing then Floor 3 Zone B is where you need to be.

This place as with the other two shopping centres is huge so there is something for everyone. I accessed MBK via National Stadium Station on the BTS Skytrain, turning right when walking out of the station will put you on Level 2 Zone A.

Cost of BTS Skytrain is 44 Baht per journey or can get a full day pass for 140 Baht, which is very good value as you can use as many times as you like on that day.

Stayed at the Pathumwan princess hotel for 4 nights so had the chance to explore the MBK which was just beside the hotel. The shopping mall has a night market like set up at the ground floor mixed with fashion to electronic shops at various levels. There are restaurants, cafes, fast food eateries and a cinema to boot. Prices here are slightly more expensive than chatuchak market but you pay for air con comfort which is especially helpful in Bangkok’s heat and humidity. Worth a visit if you are in the area!

Great place to shop in Bangkok. Immense variety of items. 4th floor has all types of mobile phone shops (NASA is best for phones), lots of phone accessory shops. You can even request for discount. 5th floor has Big Camera shop which sells cameras and accessories. Even garments, hand bags, shoes, watches, Jewelery etc on all floors are good bargain. They have massage, hair dressers and nail spa shops. Mc Donald’s, Burger King, Aunt Anne’s, KFC, Dunkin Donuts on different floors. Food court and Thai souvenir shops on 6th floor. The 7th floor has movie theatre too with a variety of restaurants ! According to me MBK is the best place to go shopping in Bangkok especially if you are short of time (it has everything under one roof and reasonably priced), only thing not available (according to me) was Lap top (go to Prantip Plaza in Pratunam area for computer and accessories). MBK connected to Tokyu Tower (another place to shop) and is right next to BTS sky train stop National Stadium. For high end designer Siam Paragon is walking distance. Prathumwan Princess Hotel is another great hotel connected to MBK.

Ma Boon Krong (MBK) is a landmark in Bangkok and very easy to get to. It is connected to the BTS Sky Train and is a huge indoor, air conditioned, sever floor shopping mall that has everything imaginable inside at very good prices. You can haggle and bargain with some vendors which is half the fun. They have numerous reasonably priced restaurants as well as a huge food court with all of the local delicacies that one would find with the street vendors in Bangkok except in very clean conditions. Guaranteed to be a fun enjoyable day for everyone no matter what age or shopping preferences.
