    Luxurious theatre
We had a private showing of Top Gun because nobody else was in the theatre. If you want full blown luxury, choose the enigma cinema. You can order food and drinks before movie in a beautiful lounge. Once you are seated (laying down on your bed!), they will bring you popcorn and drink with just the push of a button!

    Modern Elegance
The website was reasonably easy to navigate so finding a film playing with English subtitles (or an undubbed English language film) was fairly straightforward. The staff were helpful when I purchased a ticket. I wanted to pay cash so I needed them to use their cards to access the automatic ticket machines. The cinema itself was spectacular. It had all the up to date conveniences while the decor was also reminiscent of the Art Deco picture palaces of the golden age of European cinemas but with a modern twist. Extremely comfortable seat, even in the cheapest section. For a cinefile the experience of seeing a film in Bangkok was a treat in itself and also a welcome break from the hot, dusty streets. The reviews that say that as you are walking through the shopping mall you when you are near the cinema because you can smell the popcorn are absolutely true!

    Best cinema in the world . . . 4d = Must See . . .
Visited this cinema twice both times went to see the 4DX screen. The tickets cost 400 Baht pp, but there are many different screens such as iMAX etc. Normal films are around 170 Baht pp and the most luxurious nokia shadow screen costs 3000 Baht for two people (inc food, cocktails etc). 4DX is where the seat moves and they use air, water and smells to enhance a movie. It is amazing and worth the price of entry (which at first I thought was expensive). The seats were comfortable the quality of the picture and sound was almost perfect. I wish they did cinemas like this everywhere.

    High prices and bad quality
I have been in Thailand 7 times before, but the last time August 2023 was totally different then before the pandemic. The prices is much higher, around 3 times more than before the pandemic. And it was crowdy everywhere. To much turists, I think that's why prices is sky rocketed. Not worth it at all, especially if you travel with family. The hotels is in bad shape, even 5 stars hotels, the renovation is a word they are not familiar with. I live in one of worlds most expensive countries, but still I can see prices higher than here. I don't know how people effort this. I traveled with my 13 years old son for 3 weeks and we didn't do much of activities, but we still managed to spend around 10.000 dollars.

    Horrible
VERY BAD. Waste of money. You will pay for seats and the aircon is not cold. You sit and cook. I requested staff to lower aircon twice, they said they would call someone. Nothing changed. Don't waste your money here you will be very disappointed !

    Watched a 3D thai movie
Seats are not that comfortable, but they let you keep the 3D glasses. There is a mini market to buy drinks and snacks. That is very good as we have some time to make up our minds what to get for the movie.

    Try Enigma and Siam Pavalai
Paragon Cineplex has a wide selection of theatres, ranging from normal ones to the gigantic Siam Pavalai and Imax theatres. Normal ones are just like any other theatre in Bangkok. Cold and with those seats where the back reclines even if you don't want it to. The Bangkok Airways Blue Ribbon Club theatres are the luxury version, where you get access to a pretty lounge and a free drink or popcorn/soda and a free 15 min massage at a price of B800 per head. Comfy seats when they work and recline, but unfortunately that's not always the case. Siam Pavalai is a gigantic theatre featuring a balcony. It's worth having a balcony seat at a movie here just to see the stunning theatre itself. Enigma is like nothing I've seen anywhere else. Very classy lounge where you get a hot snack and drink of your choice before the movie. The theatre itself has no seats, but rather very comfy sofas with dividers between every two seats. Makes you feel like you're at home in your own living room, but you forget that when the show starts and the most impressive sound and picture I've seen in any theatre appears. In my home town we have two THX approved theatres (one of them actually far exceeding the THX standard), Enigma makes those sound like an old boombox. At B2000 per head it's probably not the place you'll visit too many times, but it's worth it. The Imax theatre hasn't impressed me much on my 5-6 visits. They always have problems with the sound at one point or another, at one show they couldn't get it working at all, and gave me a refund. I went to see a Harry Potter movie here a few years back which had some scenes in Imax 3D and the rest was 35mm. They seem to have a problem with the 35mm projector, as the picture had a lot of vibration to it. They might have switched to all-digital now though.

A comparison between VIP screens and Embassy Diplomatic Screens (EDS)
Thought I might give a comparison between the two screens which I experienced in the last 2 days Cost - 900B for VIP (weekday)(The Hobbit) and 1000B EDS (public holiday) (Night at the Museum) Lounge - both offers private lounge access with the EDS being more private and exclusive F&B in lounge - EDS adopts a help yourself approach with juice and finger food which opens 1 hour before movie starts. VIP has an attendant waiting on you with a menu of finger food which includes Haagan dass ice cream and OJ, starbucks coffee or even a 15 mins massage. I cannot remember what the other 2 choices are. VIP allows food and drinks to be brought into the cinema but EDS only allows food and drinks only if you purchase it from the bar. Cinema - both seats are comfortable but I found the blanket offered in EDS did not fully cover my body whereas the duvet provided by VIP did. Incline - Both cinemas offered lie flat seats but I could see my toes sticking out at the bottom of the movie screen for EDS where as my toes were just below the screen for VIP and in my opinion, viewing that was not obstructed. best cinema in Thailand
This is great centrally located in Paragon, Siam Square, just off the Siam BTS. There are a choice of cinemas and all current movies. Prices are very reasonable. Make sure you stand for the national anthem and bring a jacket as it get very cold.

    Bangkok Airways VIP lounge/theatre
This was the first time i ever been to a VIP movie theatre, it all starts at the lounge were you will get complimentary refreshments and if you are in good time 15 minutes of massage! Then you will be escorted to the theatre. The theatre seats 40 ppl in big electric controlled recliners. You get a pillow and a comfy blanket too. there are small tables on the side of the recliners and a big background lit table in front of the chairs. The next couple of chairs i a good three meters away from you. Very good sound and picture quality. Not 3D though. I should mention that if this was a conventional theatre it probably would seat 300 ppl...

There are several "rooms" to choose from, but the best one is the "Nokia Ultra Screens"!
The temperature inside is pleasant (not freezing), just few seats (approximately 18), screen and the sounds are really great.
The huge leather seats are the best out of it, you get pillow, blanket, table, and of course place for a drink which keeps cold your drink! The seat you can adapt as you wish, of course everything is done electronically! You can seat, put your legs up,....

The price is 800THB/person
Once i a time it´s definitely worth to visit and get bit of luxury.

We opted for the top of the range Enigma cinema as it is unlike anything we have back home. Two people for $150, expensive but we'd probably spend that at gold class cinema (recliner chair cinema) with snacks & drinks back home. The beds were comfy, food ok, good service, great screen & sound ..however halfway through we realised that the little noises we'd been hearing were actually a rodent/s stealing our food! It had to be fairly big as it moved a ceramic plate & a pillow..& there had to have been more than one as they ate a lot of food!! It was a good laugh & made for a memorable experience

Abit thrilled at the beginning when there was a short 'demo session' - I could feel wind in my hair, water in my face synchronized with the chair movements during movie demo clip.

After that , it was plain chair movements , nothing else.

Our almost 3 hour movie interstellar had a lot of space shuttle scenes and hence many synchronized chair movements, hence felt that at least we got our money's worth despite no wind or water or smell effects.

My friend commented that the theatre should have given us a bottle of water and a hand manual fan so that we can create the effects ourselves.
