A must visit for parents with young kids (4th visit)
Dec 2019 • Family
We have been here frequently over the last couple of years whenever we come to BKK. It is well-maintained with ample staff to monitor the kids.

A parents room for those of us who need a break. Massages available at extra charge.

Rope course at extra charge of 200 baht per round. Kids enjoyed them so much they did twice each. A guide follows them on the course, great for first timers.

A huge indoor playground area as advertised.
Extras will come in the form of mini basketball court, a circuit for roller blading, kick-scoot and cycling.

Thanks for this wonderful place for the kiddos...

This is a update of Funarium. My first review was quite off. I apologize for the error, it was made out of aggravation of a policy that was and is clearly stated. My daughter had a great time and boasted how it was the best birthday party ever. Trust me that was some big words if you knew of her past birthday parties. I want to be fair and review on the experience of the facility and the enjoyment of the one who mattered. So, if you want to give your baby the best birthday ever then this is the place to be. The party hosts were the very best and the food was actually very tasty. Its not cheap but it's well worth the money and you do get what you pay for. Again, I apologize to anyone who read my previous post and felt or was mislead.

Dear Aaron C, Thank you for your trust in having your daughter's birthday celebration at Funarium Bangkok. We are extremely glad to learn that she has found it to be the most memorable one for her thus far. We hope you have taken many photos and videos as the laughter and joy as expressed by the Birthday Girl and her friends and family will be priceless and give you fond memories of this event in the future. Please also tell her that she can certainly return to celebrate her special day at Funarium next year. We have had a girl who did that for four years in the past! Best regards,

Great activity for kids!
Jul 2019
My kids had a lot of fun over there, and they didn't like to get out from there. The negative thing is that the place not on the main street, so it's hard to find a taxi to go back to our hotel but the staff were very very very helpful, they were using some apps (I think it's Grab App) to bring a taxi for us in less than 5 minutes!. It's really good place with a lot of activities, so anyone who have kids i recommend this place for them. The last but not least, don't forget to bring your socks with you, otherwise you have to buy from their counter.

Lots of things to do and super friendly staff

Funarium remains an ideal place to entertain the kids on a rainy day or busy morning. In fact they are being entertained by the staff. Whether it is in the cooking class, the fun rope course, bingo or exploring the painting skills upstairs, all activities are well organised and supervised by experienced and motivated Thai staff.

its a great getaway for kids.not much options though like Imaginia & kidzania. But money wise i found it to be okay..its clean and there is an arts and craft center which is a good place for creativity enhancement.my daughter made a candle herself with little help from an attendant.I would recommend this for kids upto 7 years. But this place is far from the happening street of Sukumvit 11.

Dear tanakaislam, Thank you for your visit to Funarium Bangkok and your review. We hope you and your family had a great time in Bangkok. I'm not sure which day you visited our indoor play facility but there are a few more activities on weekends; i.e. music for kids, fun cooking class, fun games. These are in addition to our daily activities like rollerblade, laser game, stencil painting, sand & water play, etc. We also have the 'drop and shop' program for guardians of the child age 4 years or older. They can simply leave the child at Funarium Bangkok while they go attend the meetings, run errands or see some tourist spots that children would not enjoy as much. Funarium Bangkok is between the two main roads Sukhumvit & Rama 4, and is easily accessible by sky train and taxis. The closest sky train stop is Prompong. A taxi ride from there takes 5 minutes. Best regards,

Do not expect much and you will be suprised. And the kids will love it. Our 18 months old daughter and 6 yo. son, enjoyed it for 80 minutes and it was not enough. We came before they closed (6pm). Great parking, clean. Lot of things to do. Toilets clean, refreshing possibilities. Do not forget your sox (or buy for 70 B there).

Fun for the kids
Jan 2019 • Family
Took my 5 year old son here to burn some energy for a couple of hours whilst in Bangkok. Facilities are great, play equipment is safe and well varied.
Good amenities with a cafe inside.

Only downside about visiting was that we had to pay 200B for my Dad who was only going to be sitting at the cafe and not going on the playground with my son and I.

Worth a visit, and good luck trying to get your kids to leave.

still nice, still worth visiting
Dec 2018 • Family
We live in Bangkok but haven't been to the Funarium in quite awhile, so after returning a few times recently I can fill in how it has changed.

The main difference is that they've added a rope course, an elevated series of walkways, and a zip-line at one point (where you slide down an incline on the wire). The kids--or adults; larger people can still do it--are in a secure harness and roped in the whole time, with a safety system designed to slide over the joints in the cables without ever coming off, even at the transition points. My son loved it; he did it three times each visit two visits in a row.

The cost seems the same, so it seems a slightly better value for not having gone up for years. The business has added more revenue potential on their end by adding upsell experiences, like that rope course. It costs 200 baht for one round, with a current special to buy three entry vouchers for 500 (200 = about $6, 500 = about $15). In a sense we paid a good bit more for adding $15 expense to each visit (entry is around 250-300 baht, depending on age and time-frame, so roughly twice as much), but it works out since my son got to experience something more on a visit.

Food options seemed fine, maybe slightly better. The pricing for those is probably for the same, but again seeming a bit more favorable since we had went there more between 3 and 9 years ago, and prices of everything have went up in that time.

Again they offer a small outdoor sand and water play area, which we didn't use, not because it's cold out in Bangkok now (it never is), but just because that makes more sense when it's relatively hot for here.

On the one hand people would come to Bangkok to see a lot more unique things than a kids' play area, but on the other hand if you have kids and they love this kind of outing it really doesn't matter how different or similar it is to what else they could experience here, or "back home." We went to a much more basic version of this kind of place in Moscow a year ago and it was one of my kids' favorite experiences there. For an adult there isn't much to experience there, unless taking part in playing is of interest. There are places to sit and wait, including a lounge type of area upstairs by an arts section, or the foods options are reasonable, but really it's for kids.

Great indoor playground
Nov 2018 • Family
Visited this indoor playground with my little one and we all had fun. Please note that this is not a free playground and entrance fees apply. There’s also a cafe and an art & craft room within the building where adults and kids can rest a bit when they’re tired. Lots of eateries in the buildings around Funarium as well. The only downside was getting to the place as not many taxi / tuk tuk drivers know the location. We had to stop at the nearby Big C supermarket and then figure our way to Funarium. Overall, still an enjoyable time there.
