Neighborhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

    Skywalk Bangkok-360 views
The newest attraction in Bangkok it was’t here last time I was here in 2017 so it is pretty new! The highest observation deck is at 314 m at its peak. The glass tray one of the largest in the world with a birds eye view of the skyline below is quite stomach churning at first but then you get to enjoy the scenery around and below and forget how high it is. We got a 10% voucher from our hotel Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok costing us less than £20 each which is worth it to enjoy the unrivalled 360 views of Bangkok. We went just after five and once you’re up there you can stay as long as you like. There is a bar and restaurant that requires you to book 3 days ahead as they get booked up. But you can enjoy the view with a drink on the open deck bar with a live DJ the atmosphere is lovely but it could get very windy. Time your visit just before sunset to have a more dramatic views of Bangkok. We stayed until night fall enjoying the lit up vista of the city! We used Uber to get there but due to the time of day we hit rushed hour traffic so we had to abondon it and walked most of it. We used the BTS (sky train)on the way back which we should have done in the first place as there is a station connected to the Shangrila. It’s so handy as it is only two stations away shame the concierge didn’t recommend it and a lot cheaper at 15 baht one way! Definitely a must when in #Bangkok! #thailand #roses_travelgram

    Stunning view but quite crowded
The ticket is definitely not cheap, from what I remember is either 800 or 880 bahts each person? However the view at the top is absolutely stunning, not to mention the glass skywalk looks amazing as well. Another plus is that there is no dress code upon entering, and the dj and music is quite good. Note that the drinks are also quite expensive, and once it gets to about 5pm onwards the rooftop/observation deck gets very crowded. All the tables along the side are basically reserved, and the free seats opposite the glass skywalk are usually taken as well. So it does get crowded with a lot of people standing on the deck. I would say that the experience is still worth it, because the view is very stunning and this rooftop bar is more casual and carefree than other ones. I would suggest get there early and get a seat or two to avoid standing for a long time.

    Absolutely amazing views
During my holidays in Bangkok in December 2019 I had visited King Power Mahanakhon complex. I was staying at Novotel Bangkok Silom Road hotel and this magnificent tall building was located very close. I had booked tickets through Klook priced at 1800 rupees for the viewing area on 76 floor and the skywalk at rooftop. The views from the roof top were absolutely mesmerizing. You can get a bird eye view of the city and the beautiful Chao Phraya river. On the exit we walked through a 3 floors mall selling international branded products.

    Best view in Bangkok
Paid £21 for a ticket through Klook.com, wasn’t disappointed , very modern efficient clean and tidy. You need to take your passport with you though. The view is fantastic and unlike many so called platforms you are actually on the top of the building and there is a glass walkway to take pictures but you can’t take a camera or phone on this for safety reasons I guess. Very close to the MRT as well. On the way out you go through a couple of floors of King power shopping as well.

    Worth visiting
High recommend if you does not afraid of heights , you can buy ticket on site or via platform like klook. Purchase from Klook platform just show the QR code from your email to the staff . Staff will get you to queue up to the counter. Do check with the staff the weather before check in to level 74 for the roof top at level 78 if there is bad weather just wait or do a refund.

    Found a nice little hack
My friends and I showed up and almost bought a ticket to head straight to the skywalk. However, we were waiting on one more person, so we decided to head up to the bar and decide what to do about the skywalk later (we didn't like the price.) The ride up is pretty cool because the elevator is interactive! Upon being seated, the waitress let us know if we spent a certain amount, it would give us free entry to the skywalk. When we did the math, it was the same amount as a ticket - so, instead, we ate and drank our fill and then went to the rooftop - much better deal!

    Strongly recommended!
We had lunch in the building and then we got entrance to this skywalk, we could either take the stairs or take the elevator. The view is great - 360 degrees - and Bangkok has so many really fantastic buildings to look at, also the river, look down on the British Club etc. so we really enjoyed our time there! One can have a drink and snacks, but the prices are rather high.

    Great Views
Nice way to spend a few hours around sunset on the first day of our trip to Bangkok, very well organised and didn’t feel crowded when we were there, despite the peak time. We booked direct and did t feel rushed at all. You should get some cracking views, especially on a clear day. Drinks expensive but to be expected.

Another One of Many King Power Stores
We have seen so many of the King Power stores all over Bangkok and even many in the airports. They all offer much of the same items and clothing as well. For us it is just another duplication of Outlet Mall stores offering many duplicated brand name items that are very expensive.

The King Power Mahanakhon building is the ultimate skyscraper experience when you are in Bangkok. I've been to my fair share of rooftops in Bangkok, but my word, the views at 314m at the very top are fabulously amazing, and absolutely takes your breath away. From the topmost point, you can literally see the entire city as far as your eye can take you. And when the sun sets, the city lights will make the sight even more fantastic. The other unforgettable experience is standing on the glass floor that is jutting out from one side of the building. If you look forward, then everything is alright. But once you look down below, whoa, that's when you realise you are 75 floors up in the air, and your legs will turn weak. Nonetheless, its one heck of an adrenaline boost. I would suggest that the best time to go should be the early evening, when the sun is about to set. Also, do buy your tickets online ahead of time, because the walk-in queue is horrendously long.

It was really impressive! Walking on glass floor is amazing.
It is a bit tricky to make good photo at night as you can't take a phone on a glass floor. So if you want to catch night view I'll suggest to visit King Power on sunset. You can wait night on the comfortable seats with glass of 🍷 it is included in a ticket.

Found this building on the internet whilst touring Bangkok. Had to check out the sky bar and view. Well it’s absolutely incredible and a must when visiting Bangkok. Views are unreal, infrastructure of the king power building is epic and the glass platform is an added bonus!!
