About
Perception Blind Massage was launched in December 2014, with an aim of introducing new massage place concept to Bangkok while providing employment for blind or visually impaired therapists. We let them demonstrate their unique talent for massage therapy as they are able to fully focus on their sense of touch in a way others cannot.

The area
Address
Neighborhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

    A fantastic massage!
My partner and I booked a 3 hour package for 3000 baht for the 2 of us which included a 1 hour Thai massage, 1 hour head, back and shoulders and 1 hour aromatherapy which was such great value! Be warned, when you arrive you fill out a sheet with your details and the pressure you'd like and if you'd like any particular area having extra work (e.g. shoulders). If you select deep pressure you will get DEEP DEEP DEEP pressure! I was in pain from the deep pressure massage but he worked my muscles out so well that I felt amazing the next day! Partner selected medium pressure which seemed a better/less painful option. I highly recommend you visit either of the 2 Perception locations if you're in Bangkok as the massage was great, its a fantastic concept and supports people into employment that might otherwise struggle to work. The massage studio is a clean and well presented studio in a convenient location.

    Amazing experience!
My husband and I walked in without an appointment after having read such wonderful reviews online. They were so kind and friendly! It’s very clean and inviting. Served us a great juice while we filled out the forms and they got very specific about how we like our massage. My husband had Yui (a female) and I had Ya (a male) for our session where we shared a room. Both of them were SO GOOD! Very intuitive and very STRONG! We asked for medium pressure and it was perfect. They also have showers and a private bathroom for you to use before and after your massage which was pretty awesome. We freshened up and were served a nice hot tea and crackers before we left. If you are considering coming here, don’t hesitate. It’s a great experience for you and a nice feeling to support these folks who work so very hard and are great at what they do. 😁

Very good therapy (more than a massage)
Come here 2 days in a roll. 1st day was a massage with herbal ball while the second day was massage with aroma oil. 1st day massage was performed by a young guy which he will be a good therapist after more practice. 2nd massage really impress me a lot, it performed by a more experienced therapist and he helped to relax my shoulder very much. (As a people work in front of the computer all time, my shoulder is as tense as wood). My back and shoulder was much lighter so I have to write my comment right after the massage. The concept of perception is great but it can't be sucessul by just having gimmick. Therapists here have real technique. Lastly, I do suggest visitors open your choice of female/male therapist. Everyone can provide you an enjoyable moment.

    Just what I needed!!!
Professional and soothing massage located away from the busy streets. Easy to locate (signs up to the 2nd floor) and clean environment. Highly recommend Jaluen the masseur for giving the right pressure I needed throughout the session and focus on my sore shoulders and back as requested. Tried Hot Ball massage for 1.5hrs, will surely come back again to try on their aromatherapy massage.

Best massage I've had in ages!
After weeks of sitting down typing away on my lap-top, my back and shoulders were tight and sore. Despite a plethora of massage places in this vicinity, I chose Perception as I've had great experiences with blind massages (in other countries) in the past. I was not disappointed! Massage therapist easily sensed where my problem spots were, and managed to release a lot of the tension. Furthermore, he spoke decent English, and gave me some tips for exercises I should do in the future. Highly recommended!

    speechless in bangkok
a massage from a blind person? hard to imagine. but after the massage i got the explanation why that was better then most of the massages i had before. a blind therapist feels your body not seeing how you look but sense your body with his or her hands and judge by feeling not by consideration. it was one of the best massages i had so far and i will come back for different therapies. it might be slighty more expensive then the nearby massage shops but believe me its worth it. i come again....

Top level massage and amazing therapists
Hello world! I travel Thailand almost every winter during the last few years. The best thing about Bangkok is, that you can get a great massage to remove some of the jetlag, while you wait for your room to get ready. So I made reservation for the three of us and we all shared a great experience and the same opinion. This was the best massage we ever had in Bangkok! The crew is friendly, the massage area is very neat and clean and the three therapists were absolutely amazing. We had prebooked a two hour session and it was absolutely worth it. It was also amazing to watch those handicapped people developing that wonderful concentration and strength during their work. It’s really a very special experience and we will definitely do it again whenever we have a stopover in BKK.

    Another fab massage
After visiting Perceptions in Chiang Mai, it was a no brainer to head for a repeat before going home in Bangkok. I had a head neck and shoulders plus foot massage, and again a fantastic experience. The masseuses are all very skilled. Keep up the good work!

    Excellent
My partner and I enjoyed a really good foot massage after walking without an appointment. I've had lots of massages and this one really rated as one of the better ones. Service was friendly and of course it's nice to know you're creating employment opportunities for the visually impaired. I'd have no hesitation to return here again if I had the opportunity.

Just past here Therefore have a chance to come to try massage, see the shop, clean, skilled massage staff Massage by the visually impaired But when we walk into the shop, there will be a receptionist to help with the massage and welcome the customers very well. Inquire about basic customer information That we want to massage about that weight Which shows that the shop he cares about the details of the customer very well I feel like and very impressed. Therefore have to come and continue to massage continuously.

I went there on my first day in Bangkok to relax after a 12 hours flight. Greeted with a wai and some iced tea, I got handed a form to fill regarding my massage preferences. A couple of minutes later, I got paired with Yui who gave me a full body massage. The experience was amazing. The massage was the best I‘ve had during my whole trip to Thailand. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is very peaceful and everyone is there to make sure you‘re enjoying yourself. I got so enticed by the experience that I booked Yui for a couple of hours every afternoon when I was in Bangkok, during the hottest hours of the day when it‘s pointless to stay outside anyway. I can‘t recommend this place enough. It really helped me calm down in this hectic city. The people working there are amongst the sweetest I‘ve met in Bangkok.
A big thank you to all the staff!

We’ve been on our honeymoon for the last couple of weeks in Thailand, getting several massages all over the country. This was hands down my most favorite for a few reasons. 1: my husband and I both got the head/neck/shoulder hour massage for the equivalent of $15 USD. It may as well have been a full body massage. Much needed and so dang great! 2: I had the lovely Noi (hope I spelled her name right) who was attentive, sweet, and as firm as I needed her to be. 3: The concept is the best I could not pass up the opportunity to support this wonderful business. Having a blind person massage is a whole new experience as the passion seems that much more. 4: it was the most relaxing atmosphere with the lighting just the right amount of darkness.
10/10 would recommend a million times over. Support them!
