We booked a private class for 2 so we could select our own cooking menu. Experience was fun and rewarding. Recommended!

Super chill and friendly authentic Thai cooking class and really interesting tour of local area. Karen was great, very patient with my inexperience in cooking. And the food is delicious of course, lots to eat! Really nice bar to hang out in as well with good music. I would definitely recommend - such a good experience and very non touristy which is special.

My girlfriend and I were looking to take a cooking class while we were in Bangkok. We decided to go to Aroon's because of it's great location and cozy atmosphere. Carrot, our instructor, was very nice, knowledgeable, and spoke fluent English. We started off with a tour of the market where Carr told us about ethnic origins of Thai food and about certain foods/ingredients we could find there in the market. Afterwards we returned and started cooking. The 5 dishes we made were all delicious, and the whole process was really fun. Carr is a patient instructor and answered all of our questions about Thai food. After about 4-5 hours of cooking, we ate all of our food and, because we took the afternoon class, we ended right about the time that the bar opens up. We stayed for some drinks and talked with Carr afterwards. Really great time.

This cooking school just started 4 months ago. I have been to three cooking classes, and so far in my opinion this is the best ever~ definitely come back again!
★small class size, it was just myself
★brief history of Thai food and surrounding suburbs was given

Book your tour with Aroon Cooking next time you’re in Bangkok! This fantastic cooking class defies convention with its laid back, non-touristy approach. Kare keeps classes small and let’s you be completely hands-on in the cooking process, and everything turns out amazing. My only regret is not going a month later – Kare’s talents will turn to cocktails and the cooking workshop by day will soon also host a cocktail bar by night. I was able to taste test a coconut peanut drink made with locally distilled gin. Holy yum.

I highly recommend Kare’s cooking classes. We started our class with a walk around the market to learn about the local ingredients. Then, we headed to the cook shop which is super cool, with art works, real clean per spatious.
While cooking, we were given the backround of Thai cuisine, explanations of the ingredients we were using and the history of foods and dishes. The classes are very easy to follow and it is totally hands on. You get to do 100% of the dish as the instructor teaches you how to in a very comprehensive way.
Our food ended up being delicious and best thing, we got it and can now do it all over again on our own as Kare gave us a bookled woth all the recipies in the class.
We loved it and highly recommended as it is totally a non touristy experience. Groups are maximum of 4 people (we were only 2, my partner and I).
Will come back to learn more recipies whenever we’re back in Bangkok!

Different with another Thai school, just me and my fd in the class and Kare is very nice, we shared a lot, cooking skill, buy Ingredients, culture ....the Excellent thing is you can cook by yourself for most of the steps, not just listen or share the "work". The Cuisine is special and you can not ordered at restaurant. Taste can be adjust by yourself too.
Location is good, kitchen is clean and large.Will recommend this place to my friends.

If you are looking for authentic thai cuisine then this is the place! After cooking we also had an awesome evening with the host. Also the area is good. Recommend it 100%
