They were looking for a volunteer for the stage shows and I raised my hand. Twice. We had the time of our lives. They even gave me and my colleagues a tray of tequila for my show. It's adult entertainment. Spend a little money, get a lady drink now and then and you'll be treated like kings. If you just come to have fun and spend an hour sipping on the cheapest beer, you're out. Nobody wants customers like that. Not even Nana. After doing a little research, I decided Billboard and Spanky's were the most representative venues in the enclosed plaza. NO PICTURES ALLOWED. I went with my girlfriend so there would be no question about what happened there. Lots could happen! Full disclosure: I've never been to a US strip club for comparison. At Billboard, the women wear bikinis and move to the music while they ride a slow carousel. There was a separate shallow hot tub with topless women. They each have a number, and you can tell the waitress if you want one of them to join you. I didn't do this but observed a guy that did. There are additional costs and the woman hangs on you and you chat while buying drinks.
We chose only beer, and did not let it leave our sight while we drank. I've read where people get drugged and robbed. It's tougher to drug the beer bottle in my hand. The drink menu showed clear costs for the drinks. There was no cover charge. Spanky's was similar but pool noodles are waved around, like a spanking. This is full on Adult Entertainment. No minors. I'm glad I was brave enough to check it out.

Nana Plaza is not for the faint hearted! It was good to see Bangkok so busy again post Covid. It was busy, all the bars appeared to be open again. Lots of tourists, lots of girls, lots to see.
We went as a couple, The girls were very friendly & welcoming. The girls however were pretty persistent with the single men & groups of men.
The girls dancing round poles & on bars looked very disinterested & unenthusiastic… however the girls outside the bars getting punters in, were very enthusiastic!!
Good party atmosphere- there are bars that cater to all tastes.
Go with an open mind & enjoy.
(When buying drinks, do check your change though!)

We went here on our last evening in Bangkok, after dinner. It is definitely a very busy place, on 3 floors, with various clubs with many girls in underwear or topples dancing on the tables. It's worth a trip. Bangkok is a large open-air brothel

Well i am confused. Wikipedia says the nana plaza "occupies a three-story commercial building" with go go bars and such. I mean sure, theres a very small 3 storie commercial building called nana plaza. It houses a burger king, a starbucks, a western union and thats about it. No bars. The soi 4 alley has about 75 meters worth of bars and massage shops. That "largest adult playground" sign is nowhere to be seen. This is not what i imagined in the slightest. Very seedy and dirty, as you'd expect. A ladyboy forcebly grabbed me by the arm, otherwise the girls are pretty respectful.

I have never experienced as much hostility as an Indian here than anywhere else in Thailand. In general, I understand there are negative stereotypes about Indian patrons and bad behavior from many Indian tourists. However, patrons should be judged on their behavior and demeanor, not all painted with the same negative brush. One of my first negative experiences here was walking around and looking for a nice clean establishment in the plaza.
While most places were welcoming and friendly, with many beautiful women, there were several bars that are very racist and look down on indian/black patrons. An example are some of the "Rainbow" establishments. As I was enjoying myself and my solo night, I noticed that as I approached this particular bar that the security had pulled the curtains closed. And when I came a bit closer, he aggressively shouted that its "members only" (clearly an excuse to deny entry due to my race). I was already fairly sure this was a rubbish excuse, but to make sure, I walked around the corner and waited to see if other people were allowed in. It wasn't long before a group of white men were let in no questions asked.
And this theme became more and more apparent - when its a potential white patron, they'll immediately act like they are royalty and bend over backwards for them, and let them in with no scrutiny. They are generally treated significantly better than other races, which is pathetic and small minded in 2024. Some of the general security walking around are also very hostile, getting loud with people over misunderstandings about where you can eat/smoke etc. This made me feel like garbage on my holiday and I suspect many tourists who aren't typical white farangs will get similar treatment.
This is just SOME of the stupidity by security guards and certain bars in Nana Plaza. Ignoring the blatant racism, things can get even worse from here.
The "adult playground" is really just a black hole where everyone is trying to extract money from you while providing as little service as possible. The prices have already gone up significantly, from the drinks themselves, the girls, the bar fines, a rubbish 10% "card fee", and the constant begging from waiters and mamasans for drinks.
They expect patrons to drink fast and keep going like its a farm and we are cattle - and at the end, pay 1000's for a quick romp. And if you do pay all the expenses, the girls are very quick to try and return to the bar rather than spend the allocated time you've already (over)paid for. They always say its 2 hours, but if you get done quickly and still want to interact with your lady, there's little to no chance that's going to happen.
She will rush to come back to the bar or go home and sleep because they've made their money for the night... it doesn't matter how much money you've spent on her, the bar, the bar fines, mamasans drinks, waiters drinks, credit card fees and more. Despite all this, Nana Plaza can be fun if you're willing to swallow your pride and be treated like a second-tier if you are not white.

Well visiting the Nana plaza this year, I noticed the drink prices had all gone up substantially and the Nana plaza bars are more rundown than ever. Bathrooms were extremely dirty. It’s not worth paying the extra money for drinks to go to this venue. I think it’s time to start spending some of their profits on some upgrades!.

The Nana hotel was great, full service hotel, great location in the entertainment district, about $40 cad per night. Bottled water dailyx2. Lock box in room for valuables. Skytrain a few minutes away. I would recommend this hotel for the nightlife.

If your into that thing! I walked down to get to a restaurant. Very awkward solo female. Bars, ladies, men and very sleazy. As I said if your into that sort of thing! Very busy Friday night. At the time of C-19, you will need to take tests to get into some places which are done at the door and results ready in a few minutes.

Bad experience at Wonderland.
Imagine a restaurant that forces you to swallow your starter, pushes you to order the main course, and already asks you if you are going to take the dessert. Sorry but I just feel like throwing up the starter, leaves and never come back. Note that the girls are charming. But remember the restaurant allegory. With aggressive commercial attitude your are ruining it. I suggest looking for another way at another place.

By mistake my wife and I booked a room in the nana zone in Bangkok. Hotel seems somehow acceptable, but wondering if it is not dangerous staying here... some comments?
