It’s very accessible as it’s located near Thai Cultural Centre MRT station. It’s also next to the Esplanade mall, I believe. However, on the night we went, it was extremely crowded. There were many tourist groups from China that came by the buses so it was very packed, making the night market not appealing to even enter. Objectively, the night market was very big. They have a lot of food stalls and many things to see/shop. Considering the fact that Bangkok has many night markets, I wouldn’t revisit this place.

The market is close to MRT Station and is sizable to walk. There are several streets of stalls with goodies (mainly clothings, accessories, and food and medicinal products catered for Chinese tourists). There were many food stalls too but most of them serve pretty much the same menu (stir-fried or barbecue seafood).
A lot of Chinese tourists in package tours.

I usually visit this night market against the others in Bangkok due to this one having a wider selection of the most popular local food and drinks. The area are divided into different sections: food lanes, shopping lanes and a section of pubs.
Expect a large crowd on Friday nights and weekends. It can get hot and sweaty, hard to move along the lanes at times, and hard to find seats at various food outlets. I’ll recommend to visit on weekday nights where there are lesser people.

CROWDED. Like, sometimes stopped in foot traffic for minutes at a time. Don’t come here if claustrophobic. I also got pick pocketed while trying to escape a swarm of people in a crowd. The food and stalls are great, it’s the people here who make it unpleasant. A bunch of loud, rude, people who have no regard for anyone else but themselves.

Everyone know about chatuchak weekend market. But the things there are getting more and more expensive due to flooding of tourists. Rod fai night markets give you a new feel. It is not as big as chatuchak weekend market but rod fai has a very nice and relax atmosphere and has alot of nice food

Huge night market lots of great food and lots of awesome kiosks is a great place to go and spend a few hours. I highly recommend going there it’s very easy to take MRT so don’t bother paying tour groups.

1) It is extremely crowded, especially during the holidays and weekends.
2) It has the same things that you can find in other markets, so it is not worth the trip
3) Scam place, pick pockets haven. Mobile phone was picked, from a closed pocket
4) No security at the market
You are much better off just shopping at the Esplanade Mall.

Overall just like any other night market in Thailand the hawkers are friendly and welcoming, the place is packed with tourists. Everything in one spot ; Bars, Foods and Clothing & Accessories. Seafood and Pork dishes seems mouth watering with freshly made juice on the spot with various selection from ice to blended topping up with milk. Do aware of a Nasty unsual Saab (boiled pork spine with spicy soup) stall in the market because their waiter and waitress are super RUDE and UNFRIENDLY which me and my friends encountered !!! You can't be seated unless you place your order at the counter first and more over their table are fixed with numbers of people that can be seated which means extra person will have to seat at another table which we find it unreasonable and inhumanity act. The place hangs a few banners on Thai celebrities visit their stall hence with the COCKY ARROGANT attitude, me and my group of 7 people was being shouted for sitting at their table even when one of our friend is queue-ing up to place order then we decided to leave since we're not being welcome and treated as we we're at fault. Leng Saab is really nothing distinctive on the taste, its only a insta-worthy to take a pic or boomerrang videos. I'm writing this because the stalls really piss me and my group off plus it's so unbelievable that "The country of Smile" has finally turn a new face towards their tourist :( Also know that the public toilet charges and it's dirty with foul smells plus no soap or hand wash nor toilet paper.

This night market featuring endless food stalls as well as antiques stalls is located in a old train
station. It is located behind the Esplanade Mall.
Simply take the MRT to the Thai Cultural Centre and walk towards the mall. The crowd and lights will lead you right to the market.
Try different type of food, tim sum on the go, giant barbecued prawns as well as traditional Thai food. We tried the mixed seafood bucket containing prawns, squid, clam, and mussel mixed in a special spicy sauce. We also ordered the pig spine soup.

When you are in bangkok you must come and try this night market . Is absolutely amazing. Many stalls selling fruits , satay to varied meat and seafood. Cheap and cheerful. Very fresh and tasty. Especially The satay.
Price on weekdays are cheaper then weekends and less crowded

How is this compared to the older Rod Fai Market? If you go to Rod Fai.. is it worth to cover this one as well?
Written March 27, 2018
Yes, it has better atmosphere in general and not to mention all the funky places, food and available shops in the area while it’s very assessable.
Written March 27, 2018
Hi, may I know what is the opening hours? And which day is open.?

One of the reviews mentioned that he/she went on a 8 Nov 2017 (Wed). I am actually planning to go this coming Wednesday. Don’t want it to be a disappointment. (Most pp/website indicate it’s from Thurs-Sun)
Pls advice
Thanks

Yes it is not just Thurs, Fri or weekends. I went on a weekday (Tues nite). My advice is to go early as the stalls are setting up by 4-4:30pm and the foodstalls aleady ready to start selling. Later into the evenings tend to be very crowded and you have to queue to get your orders in.
