With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

    Very nice and comfortable skybar!
    We reserved a table and we got one with a perfect view over the city. The staff was very friendly and also the drinks are good and affordable. Anothet positive point is that there is no entrence fee to the skybar itself. We recommend the bar to everyone. The only point is that you have to go upstairs the last 2 floors - so maybe disable people can have a problem to reach the bar. Our staff was Aoi Chelsea Mew did a great job. Thanks for the nice evening.

Very nice and comfortable skybar!

We reserved a table and we got one with a perfect view over the city. The staff was very friendly and also the drinks are good and affordable. Anothet positive point is that there is no entrence fee to the skybar itself.
We recommend the bar to everyone. The only point is that you have to go upstairs the last 2 floors - so maybe disable people can have a problem to reach the bar.
Our staff was Aoi Chelsea Mew did a great job.

Phantastic view, great service

We stayed in the Compass Skyview Hotel and visited this bar every evening. View is just great, especially for sunset and atmosphere/music rather relaxed. The stuff was very friendly, funny and attentive, namely Aoi, Chelsea and Pen.
The only con are the many stairs (about 60) that you have to go down and up just for seeing the restroom. Management should find another solution here to make this location a perfect spot.

Great view, excellent cocktails, and most friendly service. We really enjoy our visit to the Vanilla Sky Cocktail Bar. „Made in Bangkok“, their rum based signature cocktail is particularly refreshing. We can also recommend Vanilla Sky as well as Dark & Dirty. Great views across Bangkok up to the Sirocco Bar at the Lebua. Most friendly and fast service by Aoi, Mew and Aun. Thank you!

Lovely cocktail, recomended by Mr. chelsea. This is such a nice rooftop bar with affordable price, Khun Aoi and Khun Na were so friendly.
Sunday night here was amazing private and not too crowded.

Amazing experience but to improve paying system

I was this early evening at Vanilla skybar at 35th floor.I had a warm welcoming from the young bar girl ,I think the only one under male staff. Anyway I enjoyed the good made Margherita,but less the gin tonic.I don't like at all,when the barkerper already mix the gin with tonic water behind the bar.I prefer to have by side the tonic water bottle and mix it myself. I think,every drink mix with tonic water,lemon or cola,they serve same way. That's why I will not order such a drink anymore. Before leaving I wanted to pay with contactless debit card on my mobile, but didn't work.I had some cash with,otherwise I couldn't pay the bill.The Hotel management should take care about this issue and find a solution.Nowadays many people use to pay by mobile, in my case with revolut and must be possible. Customers cannot come back because of that..believe me.

Great spot for sunset

So many roof top bars in the area and we decided to try Vanilla Sky. We came early and left at 6.30pm ish. The sunset was beautiful and the bar was not that busy yet. I had one of the signature cocktail and it was wonderful. Service was attentive. Do stop by if you are in the area.

We have been for the first time in Vanilla Rooftop Bar, the view was amazing from the 35th floor. Very friendly waitress Aoi explained about the drinks and food menu. Chelsea and Pong the Bartenders are well prepared about the cocktail and polite. Must try.
