The area
Address
Neighborhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

Had always wanted to learn some Thai cookery techniques, so no better place than in Thailand.

Go Thai is easily located down some alleyways in the middle of a market, that was also good,as the teacher took us round for a chat about food products, some good photos obtained.

There were only myself and two others in our morning class, so that made for a quick class, apparently classes can have 12+ in them, wouldn,t have liked that.

Made 5 different dishes, including rice, soup, curry, spring rolls, all lovely and he smells were amazing, they can also easily accommodate your diet, eg I don,t eat fish, so had chicken instead.

Well worth doing, you cook, then eat what you,ve made, then onto the next dish to prepare.

This cooking class was a great experience! I was in a group of 6 people, we learned how to cook 5 different dishes, so be sure to come hungry. Our teacher was Natcha. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. In the past she has worked all around the world at top restaurants! I highly recommend this cooking class!

Fantastic afternoon spent out of the heat of the day. We had 4 hours making five dishes with a really engaging chef. The kitchen was very clean, and we each learned a lot that we did not know previously.

It did not feel rushed, but a leisurely afternoon cooking with new and old friends. Their professional website is one of the best ways to learn about the different classes. Highly recommend.

The class is held in a scrupulously clean kitchen of the bike/scooter hire business within Bang Rak Market. It's only a few minutes walk from the Shangri La Hotel. Google will take you to the street and just look around inside the market you will find the building without too much trouble. The class is simply FANTASTiC! Sarin is a super enthusiastic and lots of fun. This is probably the best afternoon I've every spent in Bangkok in the several trips I've made here. Don't eat before you come you will be eating all your own dishes (x5 of them) and even my cooking was delicious. Don't miss this class, its wonderful

My husband and I had a fab cooking class with Sarin. She is very talented, enthusiastic and a great teacher. The class is set within a market and we really enjoyed going around the market first and learning about the different ingredients on offer. The location suited us perfectly being very near the Shangri La hotel and was modern and clean. This was a wonderful way to spend a morning in Bangkok and we returned home with some great new skills. Thank you Sarin.

We had a wonderful evening class with Kimmy - our kids (15 and 11) both loved it, and Kimmy was a wonderful teacher. So looking forward to repeating the recipes at home :)

The hours flew by as Sarin skilfully led the cooking of each dish, one at at time. She took time to answer my questions and took care to adjust her efforts to special requests. In addition to cooking flavourful, clean dishes of Thai food, she also managed to enthusiastically share interesting and helpful information about Thailand and life in general. It was a delightful morning spent with her and the most soulful and fulfilling activity of my Bangkok experience.

Loved S. Enthusiasm and passion! The location is very cool - inside a small market. This was our 4th trip to Bangkok and walked right by the market going to Robinsons Dept store (about a block from Shangri-La) and never realized the market was tucked into the side street. Loved having her show us around and explaining what all the things I saw were. Then went in and cook and ate - Loved it! Now not intimidated to go home and try to do on my own. BTW they also do bike tours. We definitely will come again!

Chef Sarin is a very good host. We took the morning class and she guided us through the market in which the school is located. This was a great opportunity for two people new to Bangkok to ask “what’s that thing?”. She explains the culture of the market very well.
The food was delicious and chef Sarin does a very good job of keeping you from destroying your breakfast, which she did a few times for us. You make five dishes with time in between to eat and chat with the chef. If you are interested in a cooking class in Bangkok, we can’t recommend these guys enough, and go in the morning to do the market tour.
