A fun, friendly and accessible class which was very well run from start to finish. The market visit was a bit disappointing as there was little exploring of the market but that was made up for by the tuk tuk ride and everything that followed at the school itself. A professionaly run class with some great food to enjoy through... More

This school is fantastic. Not only the prices are a lot cheaper compared to other famous Thai cooking school, the school itself is beautiful!!! The decoration is awesome, the teacher is adorable (Jan) and yes, we learned a lot...at least some fun stuff to try back home. Totally recommended!!!!

My daughter and I attended 2 days of cooking lessons at Silom---and we think that this experience has been one of the most enjoyable activities we have done! The Chefs (Jay & Oat) were knowledgeable and funny and made our class very fun and interesting! I highly recommend taking a class at Silom Thai Cooking School!

Highly recommend Silom Thai Cooking School..everything mentioned in previous reviews very accurate. Professionally done. That being said it was alot of fun and informative. Pad Thai , fresh green curry and Mango sticky rice. Amazing Cuisine made simple 👍Best to arrive hungry..there's a lot to eat. Well done ! I will be back. Cheers Bob

It was one of the highlight of my trip to Bangkok back in Dec 2015. I feel like I owe them a review if I don't express how much I enjoyed the cooking class. It was a fun experience from picking us up from a tuk tuk to the market, then off to the property where the class was taken... More

Did a couple of cookery classes with them and both days the menu was different and the teacher was excellent. On the first day had a quick tour of the local veg market and seafood market to get ingredients which was interesting. The menu of what you cooked was very good as all thought requiring just basic skills was the... More

We were recommended this cooking class from the hostel we stayed at and it was great. We looked up a few and this one was far better value, can't remember the price. We first went to a local market to pickup the food we needed as we learned about the foods. Then we traveled by tuk tuk to the cooking... More

We wanted to try something new on our latest trip to Bangkok so we made a booking for an afternoon class with Silom Cooking School. The booking process was a breeze and they replied you with all the details you need very speedily. Locating the meeting point took a bit of detective work using Google Street View, but I think... I planned a trip to Thailand with four of my Japanese students, and while trying to plan the trip, I offered suggestions to them; one being the Silom Cookiing School. It was a great experience for me as well as my students. I am sure I will return on my next trip to Thailand. You need to check their website... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
