The area
Address
190-190/1 Soi Sukhumvit 16 Khlong Toei, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110 Thailand
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Muay Thai Training in the Raw
Apr 2016 • Solo
I have been training Muay Thai since I first came to Thailand and ended up living here two years solid. Since living here I heard about a brand that has steadily been growing and producing awesome content on the sport. More recently I learned they opened a training gym in downtown Bangkok so I thought I would give it a try.

My first day I booked a private with none other than Saenchai, the Living Legend of Muay Thai. It is not everyday you get to work alongside one of the greats in Muay Thai. Super friendly, great coach, can imagine his demo's on how to kick was as good as it gets. Not only Saenchai but his trainer Manop was there and sometimes he would come in and give me some pointers too but he was working with another foreign fighter.

It's great, under one roof they got amazing fighters that are all accessible and best of all, this gym is downtown Bangkok walking distance from BTS (skytrain) Asok.

Been to a lot of gyms in my Thai time, but, this is as legit as they come. Worth giving a round or two with the best fighters in the sport!
