924 reviews
On this cultural tour you will explore Bangkok by the iconic tuk-tuk and enjoy a fun evening activity when the temperatures are cooler, traffic is lighter, and there are few crowds. Stop and walk around a selection of local sights including temples such as Wat Pho and two markets including Pak Khlong Talat flower market. Sample local food as your guide stops for snacks and a main course plus dessert at a mystery location.

I came all the way from Brazil to train at Yokkao and was amazed not only with the training, but also with Neri from the staff who went well above and beyond the call of duty to help me find my way back to my hotel and to teach me how to use the Bangkok subway system since it was my first time in Bangkok. Nat was also a major player in this winning team and helped book the private training before I left Brazil. And, off course, @petchmankong for the perfect training session. Yokkao was customer service at its very best level. I was not disappointed after flying more than 16.000 km for a training session. Thank you, Yokkao team. Thanks for the rescue, Neri !

Having trained muay thai years ago in London, but now training as a Western boxer I popped along for a session to see what the fuss was about. The gym is buzzing - the Thai trainers are lively, proffesional and are enjoying what they are doing. However the class lacked the structure I was used to - skipping, shadow and a few rounds of pads with a trainer and then just left to our own devices. I hit the bag for a while but then felt unmotivated and a little dissapointed expecting some clearer instructions from someone. It's great to see the pros in action - but there are far better muay thai gyms to train at in bangkok.

The purpose of my trip to Thailand was to further my skills and knowledge of Muay Thai. After training several sessions at another gym in Bangkok and being disappointed, my friend and I decided to try Yokkao. It was the best decision that we made. We attended six classes and booked six lessons over eight days. Firstly, the Ajarn, and Krus are extremely well versed and skilled in technique and power, as well as teaching ring strategy. Classes are well structured and will be familiar to students with experience. Skipping rope, shadow boxing, bag work and pad work with a Kru are all part of class. You may even get the opportunity to hit mitts with Ajarn. If you are looking to work on specific areas, your best approach is to book private sessions and explain what you would like to learn. Each of my sessions built on the previous one, and by the end I felt that I had a fuller understanding of the areas I wanted to work on. Secondly, you will get what you are prepared to give, regardless of your experience. Yokkao is a training gym. If you work hard and listen, the Krus will spend extra time and effort instructing you. , regardless of your skill level. Arrive a few minutes early and check in, bring water, wrap your hands and be ready to train. If you need help wrapping your hands, ask and someone will help. The energy of the gym is high and positive. Often there are fighters such as Singdam, Manachai, Yodchai, Nut and others training during class. The Krus and fighters joke around with the students. The fighters are are approachable. Everyone is working to improve together. The Manager is friendly and extremely capable. She is willing to help resolve any issues. Overall, I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge, professionalism, and atmosphere of Yokkao.

Went here with a friend. We are both women. I have had done Muay Thai in the past and i always enjoyed it. My friend was a total beginner and first time. We decided to take the 3-6pm class. We were group of 12. 4 coaches doing the training. All of them can’t speak English to explain what to do. As a beginner you will end up just doing your thing if you don’t know what to do or you can also just guess what you should do. I have had experience with the class before. This is quiet no organisation of what to do and how long to do it. Would I recommend it? Not really, if you are a beginner. Maybe the private session would be different experience. I find it quiet expensive though.
