Neighborhood: Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.

Found this place on the Internet before arriving in Bangkok. Was a little hard to find, but worth the effort.

Paya has some really good tribal and other textiles, tribal baskets, furniture etc. I found that most of its goods were ones that I had not seen anywhere else. The prices are reasonable, given the quality. I picked up a beautiful Karen tribal piece, a few nice throws and a really nice cane food cover.

Really recommend this place to those who want something different. Would go back when next in Bangkok.
