- Travel Vibes - IndiaNew Delhi, India304 contributionsQuieter and a better place to stay when compared to Khaosan RoadRam Buttri Road or Soi Ram Buttri. This fascinating street is very close to the far busier Khao San Road and it is much quieter yet still has lots to offer. This Road is home to hostels, guest houses, boutique hotels, bars, Thai massage services, 24-hour restaurants, and many street food stalls, which are well-known among tourists. We stayed here in the Rambuttri Village Hotel and staying here is more peaceful as the Khaosan road is more noisy and crowded.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 10, 2024
- Richard BLeeds, United Kingdom19 contributionsNice evening on Soi RambuttriHad a lovely evening stroll down Soi Rambuttri on our first day in Bangkok. Had a couple of beers at a bar with some good live music on and then had some food before we headed to Khao San Road. Wish we'd have stayed on Soi Rambuttra as at least we could hear ourselves speak and it was a bit more refined.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2024
- Jane2 contributionsAmazing Thailand ExcursionFrom the moment we got picked up at the hotel the service was outstanding. Our driver and tour guide Tim were amazing. We did the tigers, elephant ride, shooting range, long neck, and floating market. He also took us to an amazing authentic Thai restaurant where we got egg rolls and pad thai. Tim made the experience!! If you go try and suggest him to be your tour guide.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 31, 2024

This street is much better then Khao San Road. Here it’s a bit more quiet but certainly not boring at all. Great music, nice seats and tables and great food. Have a sit, enjoy the athmosphere and observe people.

Soi Rambuttri is more like what Khao San was decades ago: lots cool shops, eating joints, guest houses and relaxed drinking spots. Throw in street vendors and massage and it has it all. For now, at least, authorities haven't ruined it with over regulation and "renovation".

This fascinating street runs parallel to the far busier Khao San Road and it is more to our taste. It is much quieter yet still has loads going on and is completely entertaining.
You cut through it down a little walking street and you will find plenty to do. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and street food make it a fascinating place just to sit and people watch.
There is a lovely bar at one end called truffle where they have great happy hour and excellent music. We headed for it every night and had a wonderful time.

We spent a timeless moment in this pretty street. Several very cute cafe restaurants, greenery. It’s touristy but it’s worth a little stopover. We also took advantage of a massage… very attractive prices.

Mr Tim was very pleasant throughout our whole trip! We drove from Bangkok to the floating market. While there we went by boat down the market then walked around and shopped a bit before heading back. Mr Tim made sure we tried all the treats at the market and that we were satisfied with all of our shopping. He was knowledgeable about Thailand and provided us with information as we went. We had a great trip to the unique floating market!

Stayed at a cosy boutique hotel-hotel Muse in langsuan.Comfortable rooms with an extremely hospitable and helpful staff. It’s near the train station as well as lots of nice bars and restaurants.
Stepped out after a good breakfast of lots of Thai goodies we normally eat as starters, like dimsums.
Mall crawling all day, stopped for lunch or mangoes with sticky rice, continued till our feet gave out.Sat down and passed out in the nearest foot massage place. After a brief rest, chai went out again for lovely dinners.Worth a mention is Vaso- Spanish tapas bar.Lovely food and a relaxing vibe.

Soi Rambuttri, First time when I came to Bangkok I got my hotel room here and ever since I didn't go anywhere else, I mean I didn't search for a room but only a couple of occasions which I really regret. This soi is very amazing, you never get bored. So many street food vendors and restaurants, 7Eleven thus everything is here... if you want a budget hotel room or even a 3 star hotel room, you can get it here. Khao san road is just the opposite way.You have to visit or stay here if you want to know the real fun. These words and sentences Don't do justice to this place.
I am going to Thailand next week, Tuesday April 11,2017 and I am going to be there again... Yes, of course its the Songkran Festival which is calling every tourist from around the world. You can imagine how many people or or maybe thousands of people would be roaming around in this street.
Last think I would like to say that if you want to enjoy and get the most of Khaosan road excitement then find a room in Soi Rambuttri, you can enjoy the nightlife at Khaosand road and on the other hand, you can get a peaceful sleep in your room at Soi Rambuttri...
It's every easy to get to Soi Rambuttri, after landing at Bangkok airport, just hop on the Airport Link Rail ( City Express Train - 45 baht ticket ) get off at Phaya Thai station and from there take a taxi to Soi Rambuttri, Banglumpho, the taxi meter should only charge your less than 200 baht if not much traffic then it should charge around 180 baht. or let's say it shouldn't be over 230 baht in any case. OK now since you 've got to your hotel room now, enjoy and have a great vacation.. Stay safe and be safe....

Ive been going to Thailand for 15 years and always stay here when I arrive and the night before going home. Mesmerising place thats now more inclusive with less tedious snobbery from homogenous dreadlocked/juggling 'real travellers' Best place isnt actually KSR its Soi Rambuttri just up and round a corner where its much more chilled but still plenty going on, this is where the best accommodation options are as well. Street food seems to be back and is terrific. Best part is the comparitive lack of sleaze compared with other parts of Bangkok...but watch out for scammers who make an unnatural attempt to help/befriend you and the diabolical master criminals called Tuk Tuk Drivers.

Hi, at what time there is some food available on the rambuttri road? I'm wondering, shall I order breakfast in the hotel if our kids wake up early and around 8a.m. waiting for the breakfast? Will be there already some Thai food available on the street or in the restaurant?

Hey!
Does the street food here open / close at any particular times?
Written February 9, 2019
there a pad thai on rambuttri guy who opens late and many more round on KSR who go till 3/4am or even later. You wont go hungry here. They all tend to open about 11am but some shacks open for breakfast, so you can eat something pretty much 24/7
