Took a taxi out there then back to the city by MRT- both are easy and pretty quick. Had a private spa at Kagaya which is super luxurious and peaceful (although not inexpensive). The area is beautiful and peaceful to walk around too with a...More

Like the wide range of hot spring hotels available. The relax atmosphere of the surrounding and the friendly locals. A good place to take walks during the cooler or cold seasons. Especially the walk to the Hot Spring Valley.

Take the MRT to Beitou and change to Xinbeitou. If you have big luggage, suggest you get a taxi from Beitou to your hotel in Xinbeitou for NT100 so you do not have to manoeuvre the transfer. The taxi will take you to the door...More

It was bustling with activity when I went in, possibly because of the New Year holiday, but it was still manageable, and people are nice - even the tourists were friendly and sociable (I'm an introvert, so it came as a surprise to have people...More

Take a stroll up from Xinbeitou mrt station and you won't miss out anything along the way. There's a small museum on Hot Spring, a beautiful architecture library and the very big hot spring. This place is a must to visit.

though the area is quite famous, if you do not have a local guide, probably you will not experience the best aspect of the area. there are many spring attached to good restaurants. there are many Japanese historical legacies as well.

A great area, a very nice museum, delicious restaurants (yummy sushi for a ridiculous low price!) and a wonderful hotel (Double One Hotel).

Beitou is high in the mountains. Flooding is not an issue. It's actually a good destination for raining days as u can soak indoors. The only problem is u won't be able to walk around to see other sceneries.

Clothing is required at any mixed baths(public)..Clothing is prohibited at all separated baths.... you have the public baths which are inexpensive, or you can rent a private room at a hotel for 60-90 minutes
