There were many tracks to hike in the park with clear signs and maps. I took the trails to waterfall and then headed to Lengshuikeng where I took a rest before heading back to the main bus station. The track was well paved with scenic view and fresh air. A lot of Taiwanese enjoyed hiking at Yangmingshan and I was... More

Yangmingshan is a cool relief from the miasma of Taipei's summer. The green mountain is a good place for "pa shan," which Chinese people call "mountain climbing" and Westerners would call "hiking." It's good for restorng your "chi" or psychic energy.

My friends took me to this awesome trial run in YangMingShan park during August. Breathtaking views and we throughout the run enjoyed the views. Every trial runners dream, it came true to me..

Initially tried to visit the place with public transport but failed miserably. There isn't a lot of information available online on how to navigate the area properly. Took a public bus to the area and trekked to the visitor centre hoping to get more information but it was closed for renovation. There are buses that run through the mountains but... More

Small national park great for hiking and hotspring trips. Many buses travel across the park, but cars or taxis provide access to more "secret" roads in this mountainous areas. From the highest peaks -- accessible by car for Mt. Datun, by foot for Mt. Qixing (about a 1/2 hr hike up from the nearest parking area) -- clear-day vistas embrace... More

The best option for small groups of up to 8 is to rent a van with driver for a day (8 hours) at NT$5,000 (about US$160) a day. The economy option is to take public buses and walk, but buses are crowded on weekends. There are many scenic spots, from bird's eye view of Taipei, sunset, hot spring, crater with... More

You will find famous hot springs, plants, wildlife & the island highest dormant voicano in this National park with easy accessible from Taipei City. An active mining area in the past but shut down long time ago to protect nature. The park is accessible by a network of well maintained hiking trails.

I went with a group of friends to cycle from Taipei. We did the Taipei->Yangmingshan->coastline-> Taipei loop. The road was quiet and in good condition. We passed some scenic areas like the hotsprings. Would highly recommend to cyclists!

I have gone to the Yangmingshan for million times. Four season in mountain are all special. The most I like is spring. Because the calla lilly are beautiful. Yangmingshan Flower Festival will be followed by the calla lilly season from March 27 to April 26 in the Zhuzi Lake valley. It is one of five major flower shows in Taipei... More
