This stretch of noodle and fish restaurants, specialty shops and street vendors attracts throngs of tourists. Snake handlers and snake-derived medicines and foods give Huahsi Street its common name, Snake Alley.

It used to serve snakes on menus but not any more. We barely find restaurant to serve it but still a lot of food stand we can try. A lot of message stores around the area.

Do not fear...........Not every eatery or majority are serving snakes anymore. Even if you approach the ones that do have snakes on the menu, its only a few in the cages and glass enclosures. See if with your eyes by approaching it however, do not...More

We walked through here mostly out of curiosity ! There really are lots of snakes being sold for people's dinner , after they have eaten the rats! And if that's not enough, we saw rats in the street basically looking at us! Also, lots of...More

Unlike Shilin night market, you will see essentially locals here. Excellent foods, few clothes. Go where the lines are, as this signals the best foods.

Other than famous snake meat shops. There's nothing much to do there. It has full of massage parlour. Nothing else

The SNAKE market! yay! I found this quite by accident (the snake part). This had a different feel than the other night markets in that there were covered booths....and more services. I got a (not well done, but fun to chat with the ladies) manicure....More

Long night market with other markets nearby. This market is mainly items and massage-places and my guess is that you wouldn't want to eat here anyways, I'd say that it isn't worth visiting if you have little time and most likely you'd end up eating...More

Interesting the whole seating snakes that have just eaten the rats that are all there in front of you. Might put you off eating anything for a while if you're not used to that kind of thing. Food options in this area seems a bit...More

This is a covered night market adjacent to a more run of the mill night market and situated very close to the Lungshan Temple, so it is good for incorporating when visiting the area. It is worth visiting quickly to take a quick glance but...More

Unless you want to try snake dishes, this night market is not worth visiting unless you are nearby. If you walk along Guangzhou Street Night Market first, you will come across the entrance of Huahsi Night Market. Guangzhou Street Night Market will have street food...More

Best to go in the evening and shop carefully. Many places sell the same thing but at different prices. Lots of food choices so enjoy the local favorites.
