Bookworms need to make a pilgrimage here. Eslite is the largest bookstore in Taiwan and the Dunhua Rd location is open 24 hours a day, selling books in a multitude of languages from all around the world. After a long day, jet lagged travelers can rest their tired feet and curl up with a good book.

Went there because of its reputation - open 24 hours. Its size is not as big as expected. If you're nearby, you can drop by and visit. Otherwise I would recommend you to visit the Xinyi branch, which is inside a shopping mall and more comfortable.

One very good point of this bookstore is open 24 hours. There are a good range of different subjects of books or magazines to choose. Apart from books published in Taiwan, there are also foreign languages books available. Prices are reasonable and there is sales tax rebate for foreigners for purchases over NT 3,000. The staff are very polite and... More

Two sample books of the same book, none for purchase, was told those are 'the last two ...but not for purchase, we can contact another store and if you have time you can go there' ...ok thanks for nothing, but besides books their magazines are wonderfully overpriced, no thanks.

The bookstore is very nice. Lots of books and magazines. It is easily accessible from Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT station. Just exit through Exit 6 and walk straight till you come to the building housing this fantastic bookstore. Being open 24-hours, it is easy to fit in a visit in the mornings or late at night after one has finished travelling... More

We were here by Dec 2015. I have been 诚品 for few times at different branch and I think this is the biggest shop. Everyone just siting as they like as long as they don't block the way. Many different kind of book. We spent 2hours here. There is a cafe beside it.

A wide variety of books, good environment(24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Taipei people seem don't need to sleep.

Like to visit the Eslite bookstores as there are a great variety of books. At Dunnan branch, it's main store is 24/7 operated with a cafe which serves decent cappuccino, pastries and yummy breakfast - just a good place when your friends are shopping for books and you want to take a rest. There are also stationary and gift sold... More
