Artists were very welcoming and showed us their work in their workshop. We had a great time here. I would really recommend going here! Better art then at the creative park.

Very few artists were open on a Thursday. We enjoyed the walk but went for the art and saw very very little. We would go back but only on a weekend.

I have been to Taipei for a few times, I planned for an artsy cultural trip this time round. I typed 'art Taipei' in Google and found this place. It was not an easy find, and not near a metro station at all, but it was worth all the walk. If you don't want to waste time or energy walking... More

This area has a temple but I think the most amazing part is the village nearby. It is an old village where a lot of local artists set up their show rooms here. It has a nice river view which makes the village a bit more nostalgic. You can spend your time in the night market nearby afterwards.

If you looking for something unique in Taipei (not temple and museum), this hill may be your place. You can walk along the hill, step up the stairs and go down for the park and the river view. Interesting wall graffiti and wall painting will give you a new energy and inspiration. Recommend this place on the nice weather day.

We certainly did--and we quite enjoyed the climb up Treasure Hill. We also liked the break for snacks. In addition to the art on display here, nature has a nice display of its own. Kids can run around here too. Everyone we saw seemed to be having a good time.

This place inside with a long history and before visiting this place you should be well prepared to know. The former village for those retired soldiers and the Taipei cultural bureau strike hard to preserve this place for local art and successfully change this place with a very vibrant culture. This place inspired me a lot.

Took a long walk to visit a landmark temple there under the hot sun. Very little shelter and hardly any shop. There is a taxi park in front of the hill - wanted to catch a cab to leave the place. However, friends prefer to walk back to MRT station. Still a ghost town from what I can see. Didn't... More

Basically, this was a part of Taipei that had become an almost ghost town until local artists decided to utilize the space. These artists have turned abandoned buildings/houses into studios and residences. There were several interesting contemporary art exhibits to see, some were great for kids, others were interactive. Definitely a little rough around the edges, but worth a look.

We went here on a hot day and walking all those stairs was a bit hard in the sun. Take some water with you, because you can't buy it over there. Although it was an heavy tour it looked beautiful and we are happy we've seen it. But for as much as they call it an art village, they really... More
