Looking and walking towards the Longshan Temple, I came across this attraction. Due to its several wall plaques explaining the history of Bopiliao, I appreciated the results of the joint efforts of the community with the local government.

Exhibits include oral history or recordings of former residents, old printing machine, red bricks in a formation, covid-related explanations, etc.

Entrance is free, toilet facilties are available. Located near it is a small public market selling various stuffs.

It’s a really quaint area, with lots of different interesting places inside the numerous buildings. It’s close to Lungshan temple too, and it’s a good idea to combine other attractions. Also, I enjoyed free tea at one of the small cafes.

A nice spot for some photos. Beautiful restoration of old buildings. The scent of wood pervades the air and you can visit a couple of shops in the area.

What a pleasant surprise! We came upon this site by accident just walking from Longshan Temple to Ximendin in Taipei. This whole block with old buildings was preserved and maintained making this an interesting outdoor 'museum' of lives in the past in this older part of the city. It definitely gave a nostalgic feel without all the commercial bombardment. Highly recommending this if you are in the Longshan Temple or Ximendin area.

Old & interesting building. Is a must to go if you're visiting in Taiwan. Just go there by MRT LONG SAN SHI station. Was quite hot during august season. Remember to carry a sunblock & camera!! Take your meal before going there, cause nothing much to eat at that area.

Very near to MRT Long San Shi Station. The street is not so long but worth to visit to look around some old building. Sunday has some event for kids when I was there. Nearby also got few attraction such as Long San Shi and Shintomicho Cultural Market. I can easily spend a morning or afternoon just moving around this area.

Heaps to read about the history. Wanhua is apparently where Taipei began. Meander through and then check out Longshen Temple.

The place has red blocks, some old buildings to take photos. If you go on a certain day, you may see some activities such as writing postcard and send to relatives.
