I took the dumpling class with one other person (stranger danger!!) who ended up being our travel friend for the rest of the week! The dumpling class taught me so much about the dough, fillings and technique. Perhaps could have used a little more instruction on the cooking methods but I figured it out on a couple of successful test... More

My son and I took Jodie's "Taiwanese Cooking Introductory Class". We loved it. I've taken lots of cooking classes, both in the US and abroad. Most concentrate on preparing set recipes, but Jodie concentrated on how to use Taiwanese spices and ingredients to prepare anything. She used a few recipes to show how to incorporate Taiwanese flavors into any dish... More

Jodie was just amazing. We learnt so much and so enjoyed eating all the dumplings and pancakes she helped us to make. We would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Taipei. It was an absolute delight. Thankyou so much to Jodie for a womderful day.

As part of a tour, I attended Jodie's cooking class in May. The class is in Jodie's spacious and relaxing home. Jodie is very friendly and spends the time to describe the processes of creating and using some of the Taiwanese seasonings, especially those usiing black and white sesame seeds. Since the class was booked for me, and I didn't... More

Thanks to my wife for discovering this, a real gem of an experience for our first trip to the charming island of Taiwan. I didn't know what to expect, and I learned that Taiwanese cuisine is informed by influences from both China and Japan, but has picked up the most delicious, unique flavors from both of them. Jodie was a... More

We booked a private session with our kids (aged 4 & 2). Jodie was very accommodating and the food was really yum. We still cook some of the things. The booking was easy and it was easy to find. Our children got a bit restless (needed some of the food sooner and needed to help, but we worked that out).... More

We recently returned from Taipei where we enjoyed Jodie's neighborhood walking tour. She is a wonderful host and most knowledgeable guide. The tour took us through the oldest part of Taipei. Jodie knows not only the history, but many of the local personalities as well, Our tea tasting with Jason at Wang's Tea followed by a superb late lunch in a... More

My husband and I decided to try the dumpling class with Jodie as a first day experience in Taipei. We were very fortunate to be indoors learning the cooking techniques as the last of the rain from typhoon usagi was passing through. We learnt so much more than just how to make the dumpling dough and fillings, Jodie told us... More

Jodie's dumpling class was so much fun! I was surprised to learn how easy it is to make homemade dumplings. Jodie taught us several different ways to use the dough and make very different dishes (including a sweet dessert dumpling). Jodie was very knowledgeable and showed us how easy it can be to make authentic Taiwanese food. I appreciated the... More

Our family went to Jodie's Kitchen Cooking Class and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed her home, neighborhood, watching Jodie mix stuff... Jodie was very engaged to show us ways of bringing Taiwan into our kitchen. One of our favorite surprises was the vegan sweet and sour soup given its base flavors from pineapple and tomato. My only feedback... More
