A chic place to visit. It has a number of different artist works selling jewelry, clothes, nic nacs, temporary tattoos, tea, and soap. The building is interesting architecture. In the past, this is building was for Japanese tourists seeking entertainment. It is a few steps away from the Metro stop making it an easy visit.

Located just outside the Ximending district. Nothing much to see inside and the surroundings unless you are there for some drinking as the outside area are surrounded with bars. Just there to take a picture of the building

centralized location. once you come out from the Ximen Exit, you are able to see this. It shows the history of the place. If you are in Ximending early, might as well take a look here. Know more about the history of Taiwanse film industry and others.

Not much there but expensive small shops inside and tons of good gay bars out if you wanna give gay bars a try out. Once again majority of everything was Taiwan or Chinese hard to understand anything but the history of the pictures were interesting.

I was in the area earlier that day so I decided to go to the Red House to have a look. The appearance was not bad. I took some lovely photos. However, there's nothing much to see inside. There were some interesting facts hanging on the ground floor and there's a tea house. But I just found it a bit... More

Cos our first 3 nights stayed nearby the theater so we walked thru it everyday during the trip. Nothing special except the exteriors. Inside it turned into the complex of local designers' boutique retails. Should also forget Ximen walking street, full of guided tourists & nothing special.

The Red House was built in 1908 during Japanese rule and designed by Japanese architect Kondo Juro. Now it is used as a theatre on the 2nd floor. If you like architecture, it is worth a visit. I also enjoyed the tents setup outside selling more arty-farty sourvenirs.

Not sure if it's worth a visit. Not much information in English and the place is practically just an arts market.

Huge market. A lot of people. There's almost too much to see. Some food lines can go from a few customers to a huge line in seconds. Some stalls have managed to harness social proof and serve endless lines while nearby stalls selling substitute products have no lines at all. Unsure if quality or value difference exists but lines don't... More

It's a great place. There's something for everyone!! Even children enjoy it with all the little tidbits along the shopping. If you are looking for some hip hop fashion with the likes of Korean and Japanese influence, this is the place to shop with an easy price tag too as compared to Taipei 101. But watch the cars cos the... More
