I've only been to the small market which is inside. The environment is very cosy and the architecture is beautiful here. There's places to sit and grab something to eat - inside and on the outside there's a food court styled place with loads of stands to buy food from.

This building is still under renovation. But there are many pubs and bar beside it is still busking with noisy activity and is very vibrant with young people gathering there with friends for drinks.

On the opposite side of the Ximen (Night)Market, the Res House holds Taiwan made treasures from clothes, the jewelry, to knick-knacks, and more. Although the products tend to be a little expensive, all of the products are made in Taiwan, so it is totally worth a peek! During the afternoon/evening hours, outside of the Red House, local sellers sell their... More

This 100 year old historical building is worth the visit. Located in the busy Ximending district, the old and new contrast of the architectural styles in the area makes this red building very eye catching. The shape of building is octagonal and it used to be a theater and movie center for many years It's quite a place to look... More

Part of this building is under renovation but some shops are still open. They sell souvenirs, handicrafts and art stuff. There are some gay pubs behind the building.

It's not a place I would recommend if it require dedicate travel to. Luckily close to the metro and Ximending so we pop by. A lot of nice handicrafts shops and that's about it. It's so not special that I didn't even take a picture of it.
