Interesting Finds

I was expecting some sort of a museum but instead saw specialty and art stores inside. Each store has very unique merchandise mostly arts and crafts, and novelty items.

Visited a watering hole in this stretch. Interesting names for many of the drinks. We ordered a few drinks to share and most tasted fine. A place to people watch and chill out.

I was there at 9.30am, no open yet. I think is more happening at night as I see some pub just located right at the back of the building. 我早上8.30到, 还没开。

This place is almost dead on weeknights. But do check out some of the shops selling mens casual wear - you get better bargains when they are less busy on weeknights and have more time to talk with you. They are also designed by the locals (in the LGBT scene) so what you wear would be unique and definitely one... More

We stumbled upon this place and found it to be very neat. The little marketplace is extremely high priced but many of the items are hand made. We did sit in the empty tea house and were informed we needed to purchase something. When they told us what they had, we inquired to see if they had any drinks other... More

This was a beautiful old charming building that had been turned into a souvenir shop. Though there were some display cases, there wasn't much to see about the old days of Taiwan under Japanese occupation. Wish there was more English description so we might appreciate it a bit more. Well, it was free of charge and a place for a... More

If you have time and enjoyed looking at old building and historical data then drop into the red house. There are cheap cloths and handcrafts at the surrounding streets. Also around the areas are many gay bars.

Nothing much-very cheaply made clothes, but worth a look . Good for teenagers and young adults as you can get lots of things if you have patience . Mostly young crowd

The area of ximending has a mrt just outside, the red house is good for its history. It's a good area to go day or night. Lots of shopping, food and quirky stuff.
