Pokhara Sightseeing With 4 Top Attractions.

Pokhara is Nepal’s favourite tourist destination with many hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. This attractive city on the beautiful Phewa Lake is located around 200 km west of Kathmandu at a level of 820 m. It is the second-largest city in Nepal.

Pokhara is the starting point for many trekking tours. Three of the ten highest mountains in the world are within a distance of 50 km from the city: Dhaulagiri (8.167 m), Annapurna 1 (8.091 m) and Manaslu (8.163 m).

On clear days Pokhara offers a breath-taking view on the snowy peaks of the wide Himalaya Range. The highlight of the skyline is the magnificent peak of Machhapuchhre (6.997 m).

But also, the city itself has many cultural and natural attractions. On the tour presented here, I am taking you on an exciting half-day trip through Pokhara and surroundings starting from sunrise at Sarangkot and ending with a visit to Devi's Falls.

4-Days Trekking to Poon Hill & Ghandruk

The Poon Hill Trekking starting from Pokhara is one of the most popular short trekking trails in the Annapurna Region in Nepal. The trail is also known as the small Annapurna Circuit Trek. The trail leads us through idyllic villages and beautiful rhododendron forests. In the springtime (March-April) when the rhododendron trees are blooming in different colours, the place indeed looks like a paradise on earth. The absolute highlight of the trek is the morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) for a breath-taking sunrise with the view on the whole Annapurna range with their magnificent peaks of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (6,998 m), and many others.

The Poon Hill trail is not difficult to walk, but there are of course some ups and downs on the way. Especially the ascent to Ulleri with more than 3000 stone steps is challenging but enjoyable to manage as it requires only an essential fitness.

Like many others, I had to cancel my planned tour to Nepal in 2020. However, I would still like to write a review for Breathe Nepal Trekking because I was very happy with the service during the planning and booking process. Roman was very quick to respond to my queries and always answered in detail. The cancellation process also went absolutely smoothly. I will definitely fly to Nepal as soon as the current situation allows and will definitely book Breathe Nepal Trekking again for my tour. Hopefully already in 2021!

Today I caught myself thinking of this amazing trip I did with my boyfriend to Nepal in February of this year. It seemed unreal for me to actually do a tracking and be so close to the Himalayas. But it became reality when I started to research about it and found Breath Nepal Trekking online! I talked to Roman, who gave me all the necessary informations about the trip and made me feel safe and believe that was actually possible to do it, as it was my first trekking. It’s impossible to describe the all experience, but what I can say is that was unforgettable, it was amazing to be in contact with nature and it’s power, to realize that I’m stronger then I think, to look at this beautiful villages along the way and get in contact with such an amazing culture and souls. Two of them were our guides, Sibbu and Sobba, who took care of us with so much love and joy, who taught us about their country, who made our trip even more remarkable and I have no words to thank you for all you’ve done. If you’re thinking about going to Nepal, don’t hesitate on talking to these guys, they will add even more colors to your journey. Namaste! 🙏🏻

Our experience with Roman and our hike to Australian Basecamp and Dhampus was *better* than excellent - it was superbly enjoyable on so many fronts. We lucked out with the weather, and had blue skies and amazing views throughout the two days we spent with Roman. Roman was always on time, professional, friendly and knowledeable. The driver he worked with was great too. The hike to Dhampus included lots of Nature. And during our walks, when queried, Roman was a font of information on local customs, farming, cuisine, culture, politics and philosophies. It was like hiking with a good friend, in unfamiliar but welcome territory. The Dhampus hike was a great experience on all fronts. We liked it so much we asked Roman to show us around the next day too. We did sunrise on the Annapurna range at Sarangkot, and a visit to the Peace Pagoda the next day, as well as a visit to the Tibetan settlement in Pokhara. Superb 2nd day, all the way around. My wife Amy and I most highly recommend touring with Roman, the Dhampus day trek, and other activities in the area with him - you would be lucky to tour with him on your visit, if you can!
