About
A British/Nepali collaboration. Movie Garden was conceived to create a truly unique experience of the greatest films of the last 50 years. Our location is hidden away at the jungle's edge in North Lakeside with a panoramic backdrop of Fewa Lake. Half covered and half open-air seating keeps the show on the road no matter what the weather and flashes of thunder and lightning can make for some of the most memorable nights of the year! We make our own pizza to authentic Italian recipes and keep the bar fully stocked so you can get a refreshment and soak up the view before the film begins. After the show is over we often find ourselves lingering until late to swap stories with the always varied mix of travelers, volunteers, adventurers and locals. Come and say hi sometime!

the address is more easily found as 21st Street, as it's now known in English. You have to travel up a small alley behind other shops, and the stone steps can be quite steep - so be warned! But it's so worth it. Such a picturesque setting - a natural amphitheatre, with the big screen at the bottom, and a beautiful lake view back drop as the sun sets.
A very quirky way to watch a movie - the popcorn is free, they thoughtfully provide cushions and blankets for your comfort, and the pizzas are delicious! Get there early if you want a lower seat, otherwise it's a bit of a climb to the back stalls. And a torch/phone light is handy for the return trip at the end of the movie. We had a wonderful night out!

The ambience is really cool and laid back. There is not much food/drink option available, but you won't complain about it. Its one of the cool places in Pokhara I like to hang out. Nice movie collections. You can check out which days have which movie on its facebook page. The seating arrangement is a makeshift open air area and the movie plays through a projector. I definitely always enjoy my time here.

I had a very enjoyable experience at the Movie Garden in Pokhara. It was a beautiful, cool evening and I enjoyed a cold beer, great pizza and engaging conversations with folks around me before the movie started. Their impressive AV setup allowed the excellent film to be thoroughly enjoyed while also being laid back cozy under the stars. The staff were also really friendly and efficient. It's a very, very nice option for an evening in Pokhara for sure.

Movie Garden is only a short walk maybe 10 minutes from the center of lakeside, it is a little off the main road up a small path and I would advise taking a flashlight. They have a range of classics and some new releases that they play during the week, you can find the weekly list on their Facebook page. The have drinks and popcorn and will happily order in a (cheap) pizza if you are hungry. You sit looking towards the lake in a beautiful location with a good screen, great PA sound, and a quality picture. Add to this the ever friendly Pokhara travelers and its a unique experience!!!

This place is so cool, definitely worth a visit- initially quite hard to find, we had to ask a few people around the area. But when you’re there really great service, comfy seats lovely people and great film selection. The pizza was slightly salty but nothing awful, and portions big- would recommend covering yourself in bug spray as you do sit close to the ‘jungle’. Incredible though, really worth it!

Picture this, you arrive in this beautiful terraced garden, you pay a pittance for entry, order a drink and find a seat. As you sip your drink you chat with friends or strangers and watch the sun set over fewa lake. As soon as its dark the movie of the night begins on the large projector screen and you have a thoroughly great time. The staff are attentive to your every need, the drinks are great and the movies they choose to play are top notch. Favourite place to go in Pokhara.

Very nice and lovely place.
Food and drink are reasonable price.
Service is very great.
Location is good to see from main road, but need to climb up many steps.
Perhaps difficult for some people to get up there.
At the entrance, you will see the movie program for today and tomorrow show.
Ticket fee is 350 Npr (june 2017)
Beer is about 400
Pizza 450 (tasty)

I would highly recommend this place.
It is good for solo, couple, group.

Getting to the location can be a little bit tricky at night in the dark. Bring a torch or turn your cellphones flashlight on to avoid stumbles. It's a small walk up the hill on a path that may seem incorrect, but be patient and you will get there eventually! The setting is perfect. Only a small number of people can sit down to enjoy this experience, so show up early. There is
