We hiked to the peace temple by crossing the bridge and going through the forest. It was a steep climb but once we found the trail just inside of the boundary fence it was a very clear direct path. We met many friendly locals along the way grazing their goats or looking for fresh produce who stopped to talk to... More

We walked up from damside followed the fence of the world peace garden and found a path that headed up the hill and joined onto a good path up the hill. Great view at the top and the pagoda is very impressive.

Himalayas of Nepal- the source of river Ganges and the origin place of Vedic Sanatan Dharma (the root of all the religion, Astrology, Ayurveda, Fengsui, Tantra, Yoga and Meditation). It would be a matter of pride for yoga lovers to be in the pious land of Guru Gorakshanath (the father of Tantra and Yoga) and to practice yoga and meditation... More

Though you won't spend long there, the information boards give you a detailed understanding of how the temple came to be. The hike is pleasant and the views of Lakeside and wider Pokhara... More

The peace temple also known as the World Peace Pagoda is a must visit location in Pokhara. One can either trek or drive upto the Peace Pagoda. The well laid down roads lead upto the base of the tourist attraction. One needs to climb close to 150 odd steps to finally reach the monument. Once at the top, you would... More

We took a boat from Fewa Lake -without a driver so we could paddle ourselves for fun- and we hiked up there to enjoy the beautiful views and the peace and quiet. It was nice.

Interesting pagoda above the lake, but the hike there in the summer is not the best. It was an okay experience if you have time.

After a bus trip from Pokhara to the other site of the lake and a walk over 490 steps, will have beautiful view over the lake and Pokhara. Walk around the peace stupa and please respect the silence. Most people still use their smart phones! You have two alternatives afterwards, a steep walk to the lake and a short boat... More
