This place reeks of history dating back to when if you wanted breakfast in Pokhara, you’d have it here. Think the owners have changed now, & the name and board certainly has - apart from that, the place has strived to retain the originality. The only bothersome bit is that a lot of people use the same walk away and stare at the folks sitting in the restaurant. While nothing new, this can be a bit unsettling at times. The plus point - the view of the boats lined up. …

Great place to sit and watch the boats on the lake. A range of meals like chow mein, nepalese food, sandwiches etc. I got a bacon and salad sandwich with mayo on toasted bread. One of the tastiest things I had in Pokhara. Accompanied with chips, it was delicious. Free wi fi too.

Always friendly staff- great lemon grass tea- lovely pot in the sun in the afternoon to watch the people come and go along the lakeside.

I stayed here fore a few nights after I had been volunteering in Lamjung. I was really, really ill at the time and felt a bit broken. Mikes place was a great place just to recuperate for a few days. The highlight was the restaurant, where I just chilled out for a couple of hours each night with some decent food, it was nice to eat something that wasn't just rice, with the sun setting over the Annapurna range. Would have to say that price wise, this is at the upper end of a backpacking budget, but a good option to treat yourself if you've saved money on other parts of your trip - travelling by local bus helps this. Will definitely consider staying at Mike's Place next time I'm in Pokhara!…

Mikes has a great view of the lake. It would be a great place to sit and relax - if there was not a public footpath running right through the middle of the cafe garden.
