How can anyone give this place a bad review??? It's OPEN after 11pm... most times until the wee hours of the morning... nothing else in Pokhara can say that!!! Not just open, but a seriously cool place to hang out by candlelight, drink all night, listen to the stories of other soul-searching travellers, chill out on the open rooftop, play some acoustic guitar, order food at 3am (the best fried chicken in Nepal!) The owner of Sky Lounge, Arun, is the host with the most!! He was so good to me for the time I was there and I got to know him on a personal level. Arun goes out of his way to make sure you are at home in his venue.. he really cares for his clientele. Oh, and he makes a mean mojito! The facilities are great. There's the main bar on one floor, a movie-viewing room on the next floor, and the rooftop... the toilets are very clean (and they are sit-toilets!) If you need your night to continue past 11PM in Pokhara when everything closes, go no further than Sky Lounge!!! P

I discovered the lounge a couple of years ago on my first visit to Pokhara, and it was one of the reasons I decided to go back this year. The atmosphere there is like nowhere else, and just about anything goes. I’ve been both a guest, a d.j., a bartender, a bouncer and an entertainer there, all at the same night. The food is good, the music is great and, the best part: they never close. Arun, the owner, is nothing less than fantastic. If you want freshly pressed orange juice at 4 in the morning, someone will run out and get some oranges, even though everything is closed. If you’ve accidently burned down the toilet at your hotel (candles are dangerous), or need to extend your visa, no worries, Arun knows what to do, were to go or who to talk to, no matter what. Arun is THE man!
I would recommend The Sky Lounge to anyone thinking about visiting Pokhara. Both Arun and the staff go the extra mile to make you feel at home.
I can’t wait for my next visit!

We visited the sky lounge after reading all the good reviews on here, when we got there it was disappointing as they did not have a band due to the band members moving abroad, the food was average and took a long time to be served, when it got to us it was also cold... There was a movie playing but the sound was not working, the rooftop only has one sitting area and is poorly lit, the toilets are filthy and the place deserted... Clearly has had better days.

Namaste & greetings from Pokhara! My name is Arun and i opened this place two years before. Remember I met you guys at the movie room and asked you about the food! Hope you guys are doing good.
Thanks my friends for taking the time to write a review on us. It opened our eyes, absolutely! woke us up (literally)!
My friends, lately it's been a little rough. I started this place for the after-party people to chill out all night and it was picking up real nice. And now... suddenly the police is closing down everything at Lakeside at 11:00 (since last 4-5 months). That was a big setback!
So, many employees (who are also my students because in the daytime I run a hospitality school in town for the last 10 years) lost their jobs and we had only few staff for the week. And the big festivals... you know, everybody just go home.
But friends, I must apologize for the disappointment caused. We are VERY VERY SORRY for the terrible experience you had at the Lounge. Your comments will always be helpful to us and I promise, I will work harder to keep up with our guests'expectations in the future. Live music-playing, food-faster and better, toilet-clean, tv sound-working, rooftop-lit well and the place-well attended!
Thanks people, much appreciated. Hope to see you again! CHEERS!!

Once a night my traveling collegue me have been on a walk through Pokhara while closing time. "Look at this" said my friend "they have still open!". We went up in the only place in whole Pokhara which is open all the time. Until that moment we came alsmost every evening!
Arun, the bar keeper is an awesome guy! He provided us with amazing indian and nepali cuisine, good drinks and cocktails as well as a very nice atmosphere. Upon the bar you will find a nice movie lounge and the rooftop which is one of the highest in Pokhara.
So, enjoy this place, having a Sheesha and a good view!

Good place, good people and good vibe. Spend the night at this place and you wont be kicked out way too early like every other places in Nepal. You can even stay to watch the su rise on the roof with a last beer or whatever. Arun is tha man! Ask him to grab his guitar for a song or two. Had some really good time up there. Food is really good by the way.

I can't emphasize enough how welcoming and catering the staff at Sky Lounge are. The space is creative, comfortable, social, and relaxing. A great place to meet other travelers AND local Nepalese people.
We ended our night here but next time I'll make sure to start there, catch the sunset from the rooftop, and maximize the time I spend in what I now think of my local watering hole in my home away from home.

I like the Sky-lounge a lot because it friendly it's open all night long and there's good food. The music is good too.Actually it is the only place you can go. I mean this makes sky-lounge nique in Pokhara. A definite must go for the night creatures.

Hey guys,
My name is Billie from Belgium and I lived for three months in Pokhara, mainly for volunteering.
I discovered the Sky Lounge too late to be honest, I wish I had found if way more early. The live music is diffrent from other bars. They play accoustic versions of songs that sound amazing. I remember myself walking by Sky Lounge during my last days, realizing I would really miss that place. Also Arun, the owner is an amazing guy. He does everything with his heart, is super friendly and funny company. I would definitely recommend you to visit Sky Lounge when you want to have a great night!
