I met Preeti at the Pokhara Buddhist Centre (Ganden Yiga Chozin), where she gave some Yoga lessons. Not only is she an adorable and nice person, she is also a very good teacher. She explained all the postures very well and told exactly what they are for and why they help! I really appreciated this. Moreover she gave us tips, how to practice in every day life.
Even now, several weeks after the course, she is still available for questions, you can always email her and get advice when you have any problem or pain.
I really appreciate this!
All in all, I can highly recommend her :)

I sought out Preeti after checking out of a nearby "yoga retreat" early, disappointed in the lack of instruction in the "yoga classes." After meeting with Preeti I booked a half-day course (5,000 rupees) with instruction on chanting, yoga, breathing, and diet. I learned more in my half day with Preeti than I had in the past year of taking yoga classes and self-practice. I was a total newbie to chanting and breathing, so she took me trough the basics. Most importantly, she explained how to do it correctly and the way in which each practice was beneficial. She'd watch me breathe or chant, and tell me how to do it better.

We spent the most time on the yoga asanas, the primary reason I was there. Although I've been practicing for a few years, we still started with the basics, down dog, cat/cow, plank, up dog, bridge pose, etc. With each pose Preeti would correct my alignment and show me ways to strengthen and open to make them more effective. All along the way I took notes, so now I practice what she taught me on my own. I only wish I could go back every month or so and work on additional poses! She said she's thinking about posting online videos, and I really, really hope she does! I highly recommend getting in touch with Preeti if you're in Pokhara and want to learn more about the hows and whys of yoga, rather than just follow along as an "instructor" demonstrates poses.

The class was held in a beautiful location. I loved the Jiva cafe for their food and for their massage services...and was therefore hopeful about their yoga class. The class was 500 rupees and we unfortunately barely did any poses. The entire class was spent listening to the teacher talk. I felt more like I was in a lecture than a yoga class.

If I may be so bold: if I could I would edit your title and maybe it will make sense to me and hopefully others: "Not a great 'follow the leader' class" As explained and appreciated by most of the students that attend my class it is an instructional class not just "keep up with me" type of class. Everyday I get yoga students of all levels and it is a big part of my duty to engage all level of participants, I believe newer students need the explanations of what and why and the focus on posture and alignment that some more advanced practitioners think they already know and understand but could also, if open, benefit from and take advantage of. It may seem like you already know this or heard it from your regular instructor but it is a good opportunity to refresh, and have a new perspective, (if open). We never stop learning with yoga, keep an open mind and keep growing. Most attendees enjoy and compliment me on my morning drop in class at Jiva, for those who are interested in a more advanced lesson you are welcome to book a private session or private group session at my lakefront studio at the Pokhara Beach Club. For those who just wish to do their own regular routine I suggest most hotels and guest houses have a room or rooftop area that should be adequate to do your own regular routine. Save the money. There are also many yoga "classes" that will guide you from one posture to the next in the 'keep up to the leader format' in town. While this is the most negative review I have received I thank you for it because it offers me the chance to explain: yoga is more than follow and try and keep up with the leader. Sincerely, Preeti Namaste

My boyfriend and I came to pokhara after a month of work in India. We were shocked by the amount of tourists in lakeside. We wanted a quite spot to relax and happened upon preeti and Stevens little sanctuary. We had an amazing lunch and read by the lake with their beautiful cats & dogs until we were ready for yoga. Preeti is by far the best yoga instructor/teacher I have ever had. She is kind, patient, perceptive and adapts the practice perfectly to your wants and needs. Not only does she instruct but she also educates! She helps you understand what muscles and bones are being targeted and how it benefits the body. It was a perfect mix of strength and stretch.

If you want a packed, overpriced generic yoga class where you just try to blindly follow the teachers moves with no understanding of why or even the proper posture, then this is not the class for you. This is a once in a lifetime experience that gives you understanding of the philosophy of yoga and the proper technique. Preeti has a masters in yoga and bachelors in biology and definatly knows her stuff!

Highly reccomended if you want to truly experience something different & meaningful in pokhara!

Also you can't beat an open air yoga studio overlooking Phewa lake!!!!

I found Pretti online and she showed me the poses and training necessary to build up strength in my feet in hopes of eventually going downward facing dog. Before I had her give me the exercises my feet were very sensitive to stretching but with her training they can stretch more with less pain and they are growing stronger.

Preeti is a great yoga teacher. Her classes were informative and active. I spent a lot of time looking for a yoga teacher/class that had a more active place then what was being offered in most places in Pokhara. Then I found Preeti and someone also gave me a ref on her. I want to her class and after the first lesson I felt like I had done something other then just lay there. She explained the positions to us and showed us how to do each one, which I found very helpful after years of not doing yoga. She cares about her students and asks if anyone has any health issues. I had knee issues after doing some trekking and Preeti gave me some exercises to do to help strengthen my knees. I would definitely go back to her class again when I go back to Nepal.

I met Preeti during a weekend meditation course at the Buddhist Meditation Center in Pokhara. I really enjoyed her Yoga Class. It is a nice mixture between sweating work-out and relaxation. She is a fantastic teacher. I liked how she explained everything and that she had a look at each of us, correcting postures if necessary. That gave me a secure feeling, something Ive been missing with other teachers. You never know, if you do it right and it can cause damage and pain. Not so with Preeti! I even joined another class at the Shiva Cafe where she also gave me personal exercises to do back home. I can only highly recommend a Yoga Class with Preeti! Thanks for your huge smile, the big fun at Yoga and the great time in Pokhara!

Pros
-Very informative
-Beautiful environment, best 'studio' I've been in!
-Relaxed natural style
-Not your typical follow the poses class, really interesting, eye opening, Preeti is very knowledgeable & adapts all to individual, it has helped me find new energy for yoga & particularly practising on my own :)
-Pokhura Beach club is a little hidden sanctuary & the dinner was amazing! Best burgers which was inc in the course :)
-We enjoyed the half day course so much we booked another private session with Preeti before we left :)

Cons
-Bring mossie repellent if you are doing the afternoon/evening course (we got quite a few bites!)

I arrived in Pokhara ready to relax and after searching TripAdvisor, I came across Preeti and Ask About Yoga.

After so many positive reviews, I had to contact Preeti. I loved Preeti's response to her one negative review - she truly does offer a tailored yoga experience, and it's not just about breezing through yoga positions without much thought about what your doing.

I first emailed Preeti, unsure which course to do. Based on my experience Preeti suggested I first meet her and then decide. Some friends and I arranged to have dinner at the Pokhara Beach Club, where Preeti's lakeside studio is. After a delicious truly restaurant experience (none of the same same menus offered throughout Pokhara!), Preeti sat down with us and we talked yoga.

Rather than doing a half day course, which I had been willing to pay for, Preeti recommended the shorter private class might be better suited for me.

My only complaint about my session with Preeti - our 2hour session went too fast!

Preeti is SO knowledgeable, I wish I had taken a pen and notebook, and booked longer or multiple sessions with her!

I 100% recommend Preeti, and hope to visit Pokhara again:
Reason # 1 - So I can gain more of Preeti's yoga knowledge and experience
Reason # 2 - So I can visit Adam's Tribe (the organic farm Preeti takes yoga treks to - I HIGHLY recommend!!)
