Off the beaten path spa

JIVA was recommended to me by a local, and although it took me some time to find the location, it was totally worth it. Just getting there is part of the adventure. Enter into another realm where nature and relaxation combined make the experience unforgettable. Binjul and her team were very accommodating to my group last minute and gave us prime customer service from beginning to end. Arrive early to get settled and relaxed before your spa session, and stick around afterwards lounging in the garden with a beautiful sunset view of the lake to top off the experience!

Great massage!!!
Feb 2020 • Solo
I was able to walk in during the off season and have a 90 minute trekker’s massage, body scrub, and mani pedi with no wait! I was super sore from a 4 day trek and my skin was super dry after a month of backpacking around Asia using hotel bath gels and lotions, so I hobbled in sore and ashy and departed glowing with a little more fluidity and less pain to my step. I had the same lady all day and her specialty was clearly knowing the body. She stretched me and really got into my muscles to alleviate my aches and pains. The body scrub left my skin in good condition-just the right amount of exfoliation without it being painful, and a little massage on the muscles, too. You even get your face a little exfoliated with the whole body scrub. The mani pedi was done with a rooftop view of the lake. All of what I had done was great but if you only have time for one thing I’d heavily recommend the massage or scrub to really treat your body. I considered doing their all day spa package but I think you need to arrive around 8 am for that. It is cash only but there is an ATM nearby if you forget. Definitely recommend!

My favourite place to get a massage
Jan 2020 • Solo
I have been coming to Jiva for years and I absolutely love their massages! I particularly love the body scrub. The whole experience is great- a nice lemon water to start, really professional staff, lovely private cabins, and heaters and hot water bottles in the winter.
The body scrub leaves you feeling lovely and soft. I would definitely recommend the scrub followed by massage for ultimate relaxation! :)

After a long trek to ABC we had a great experience of ayurvedic massage at Jiva Cafe and Spa. Well trained staff , great competency and friendly attitude.

If you are thinking real genuine massage experience for you in Pokhara you must visit this place. If you are thinking and not going means you are certainly missing best experience.

Amazing massage
Dec 2019 • Solo
I have had two massages at Jiva from the kindest lady named Debbie. On seperate occasions she gave me a yogic/shiatsu massage and a Thai stretch massage along with a Himalayan foot spa. She’s truly skilled, she released all the tension in bodyI and I both feel and sleep so much better after a massage from her. She’s a true asset to Jiva Spa. Thanks so much Debbie!

The only place to go for a massage in Pokhara!
Nov 2019 • Solo
I’ve visited JIVA cafe and spa for a little treat for my birthday and I couldn’t have asked for better!!!!

I had manicure and pedicure, that were very well done and then a 30’ foot massage that was super relaxing and helped out my sore legs.
The staff is super nice and helpful, they speak good English and they made me feel very welcome.

The place itself is a little oasis next to the lake, with a nice garden where to relax for a drink or the complimentary tea after your treatment.
I didn’t see the rooms for full body massage, but I’m sure that they’re clean like the rest of the place. I had my foot massage on an open air rooftop, from where I could see the fishtail mountain and the lake...
honestly, I have never had a massage in such a beautiful place! And I’ve tried many in Asia... ;)

After sunset, they provide you with a blanket and a hot water bag, because it gets a bit cold outside...
It’s this kind of little attentions that make me want to suggest it to everyone!

And the prices are absolutely fair, even cheaper than those places on the main road, where service and massages are not good and you pay more.

Have to join the legions in praise .

It was THE BEST foot massage I’ve had in my life.
Sitting on the balcony at sunset overlooking the lake and the hills.
They aren’t resting on their laurels.

Went back here twice because it was so good! Wonderful massage and manicure. Lunch is amazing, healthy and fresh, salads wraps etc. worth it to come just for the food! Smoothies sounds delicious too.
