In the hope of getting a free stay and food from the Begnas farm, I enquired about the Begnas farm to the fellow villagers. They said pointing to a hillside that it is in Sundhari Danda which is 3 km from there. There is an easy way to get there by walking along the side of the lake, but there is no other road except through the woods. I started walking to the bus shelter as the road to Sundhari Danda begins there. I reached the Begnas farm and talked to the guy on the farm. He is a naturopathy doctor and yoga trainer and I told him my story. He said that it was not the farm you expected and it's far from there with the same name. He phoned to farm owner that I mentioned and told me and it’s full. I don't know what to do next, it already 6 pm and I am tired too. His wife saw me and asked about my whereabouts. she told me, "you are tired by walking and offered me juice". She asked if I had lunch. Then I said no, she walked to the kitchen, and the doctor told me to wait there until he reassures about any other vacant free stay and he added that i would be allowed to stay only if booked in advance. She started to make tomato soup for me and I tried to help her. We had tomato soup in front of the farm on a table of 4. The owner, his wife, their child and I had the soup. We started talking about south India. When I told them about Kerala, she told me that, she studied in Manipal(Karnataka). They also shared their love for south India. They offered me free stay and food. They offered me free stay and food. He showed me the room, I could see the blue lake and mountain through the open window. I watched my first sunset in Nepal above a mountain, opposite to the lakeside. it descended into the green. The doctor had yoga class daily in the upstairs. I joined it with their guests. It was wonderful, calm and relaxing. I stayed there for 5 more days. Every day I travel to places around Pokhara after having breakfast early and return for dinner and stay there. I ate dinner with family every day. We all sat around the table and conversed about the place I went to and they replied to me with the history of the place I went and the rest of the place. Sometimes I helped in cooking too. too. Begnas farm is close to the forest area around the Begnas lake. Sundhari-Danda is a tiny village, in between Rupa lake and Begnas lake and zoological park. Begnas is green with paddy fields and small streams and canals coming from the lake. Women are experts in fishing in canals and paddy-fields, their bamboo mugs are filled with small fishes, the name of which I am unaware of. young and old are chitchatting in front of the small shops. Some ladies are feeding their babies, children playing around them. distant chatter from a school can be heard. I walked into it. It was a small village school with fewer students, surrounded by canals and green. A very calm and clean village full of love. The farm, the doctor, his wife, their kid, pathways parallel to the lake, sunset opposite to lakeside, a small temple, mud house, the people over there, village, still have my heart.

I've experienced 3 days in yoga retreat. It was the second time that I was visiting this place because the first one was so good that I decided to repeat. All the staffs are so kind that I felt pleased to be with them. Raj, the guru, is a bright person. If you met him you fell the good vibes. Everyday, during the morning yoga class I felt blessed with the beautiful view of Annapurna range and Begnas lake. The food is tasty and organic. I hope to come back soon!!

I did a 7 days yoga and meditation retreat at Begnas yoga & retreat and I enjoyed it a lot, it has been so far the best week of my visit to Nepal. It was a very intense experience which helped me to reconnect with myself in a family environment. I had daily yoga classes where the teacher helped me to improve my flexibility and to give my best. Even though we were a group in yoga class he was taking his time to go to all of us and correct the pose or to help us go further. I had also theory classes with the master where we talked about yoga's philosophy and life in general, very enriching for my self-discovery path. Apart from classes I had also free time to enjoy the beautiful surrounding (swimming in the lake, walks, etc.) and the amazing wellness services (sirodhora, mud bath, herbal steam bath, massages, etc.). And what to say about the food? it was absolutelly delicious, without any doubt the best food I have tasted in Nepal. Everything prepared with fresh and organic products with lots of love. One day we also cooked together the famous momos. Another day the girls from the center took us to dance with some of their friends as it was Teej day, we had lot of fun. You won't find luxury at Begnas yoga & retreat but there is everything you need, they are treating you really like a queen, taking care of every little detail. I really found there a very lovelly people with open hearts who made me feel like at home. Every time I will be in Nepal I would definitelly come back to this little paradise. Thank you so much to the whole team, my new family: Rajendra, Simana, Shanta, Melina and Jyoti.
