Had the most amazing healing sessions with Sunil (Shaman/Swamij), my gut instinct attracted me to this place and I wasn’t disappointed. As a Reiki Healer myself I just found myself sauntering into this place and boy was I glad I did. The healing I received from Sunil (Happy) was like no other. The energy flowing through this guy is awesome. He pinpointed my issues and set about fixing them. (He was spot in re my issues). I have to say I’ve never felt energy like this before, I left feeling centred and uplifted....very special life experience for me and hope to return some day for Holistic Healing course, Lesley-Anne Brown, Glasgow Scotland.

How can I capture how wonderful this place is in only 100 characters? Initially I was impressed by the wide selection of courses available. After doing two courses and receiving a holistic treatment, I was completely amazed. The quality of the teaching is next level and the content is uniquely tailored to the student. I was also provided numerous opportunities to practice.
The holistic treatments are also very powerful and I experienced deep transformation and worked through a lot of energy blockages.
I left feeling light, confident and excited to share what I learned. I will absolutely be back next time I’m in Pokhara.
Thank you Guru Happy for your teaching and care!

Dear Happy Ji,
many months are gone from the day I've met you and I feel it is time to write back to you.

I've arrived in Pokhara after the Annapurna circuit, and Meeting Om Family has been a significant event in my way to self knowledge and self transformation.
I was interested in the massage they were offering and I've asked for a session. I've met Happy Ji there and he booked for me a massage session in a couple of hours. I waited in the nice bar downstairs, enjoying a Juice.

Once my turn came, I've been invited from Happy Ji to the practice room for the Chackra healing. I started to familiarize with the Environment, full of energy and with great surprise, during the enery field analisys, while seated, I started to feel my Muladhara and my Vishuddha like I've never experienced: so warm and intense feeling that I could even feel the shape of them.
Afterwards I've been lying on my belly, Happy Ji started to work with craft and knowledge with energy. Also in this I felt something extremely intense: the energy was incredibly fluid, like water and I felt expanding myself all around the place. The outside traffic noises disappeared, the physical world faded and I was just in peace and happyness. It was tough to come back and when I eventually did it, everithing was new and fresh.

This has been a great experience and from that Moment I can feel the energy in a different way. At the end I had also the Chance to speak with Happy Ji regarding this experience and it was so beautiful to share and to feel happiness love and gratitude.

I would reccomend anybody to go at least once to visit Happy Ji at Om Famili. As for myself, I really hope to reconnect soon with him as I'd love to visit him and stay at Om Family for a while, "experiencing my Feeling and accepting the others".

Thank you, Namaste

Worst yoga class I've experienced in my life, coming from London with years of practice across different styles and numerous teachers. Don't waste your money or time.

My friend and I were looking for a Hatha drop-in and were drawn in by the big blackboard sign and trendy looking café downstairs. Don't be fooled.

We were warned by reception to book early in the day to reserve our spots but ended up being the only ones in the 5pm class. The 'teacher' sauntered in and didn't acknowledge us. With her eyes closed, she started the lesson without asking us about any injuries or our prior experience.

The instruction was exceptionally light, missing basic cues. She would tell us to hold a pose for 5 breath counts but would move on to the next asana after 2.

She couldn't mirror actions, regularly got her left and right mixed up and didn't know the names of poses. She would forget to complete sequences on both sides.

If my friend and I didn't follow a pose, she wouldn't notice as she wasn't observing us. Opening her eyes would have helped. It felt like she was doing her own thing and we just happened to be in the same room as her. She didn't offer adaptations nor asked us why we weren't doing certain movements.

Her own form and alignment was very poor. Her spine was collapsed in triangle, she leant onto the wall to get into tree and fell over a couple of times when coming out of lunge.

At the end of practice, she left the room without acknowledging or looking at us. My friend thanked her and she didn't respond. I've never felt more awkward or less welcome in a yoga class, which is the antithesis of what it's about.

Out of principle, I decided to ask for a refund and was met with aggression and told I should have behaved differently, that I should have walked out of the class. I explained that I was hoping it would improve and only decided to ask for a refund at the end of the class, and that I shouldn't be having to tell a teacher how to do her job. I doubt whether the instructor had any professional qualifications whatsoever -- I asked her, and her answer didn't fill me with confidence. They finally agreed to a refund but rudely and loudly shooed us out.

Priced at 750rp, that's an expensive class for Pokhara / Nepal. Don't spend it here.

Had Thai massage. Masseur didn't know what she was doing, just pressing here and there. Room was even air con. Regrettable hour.

Nope, this place is icky and the masseuse that my cousin and I both had seemed to have no idea what she was doing. My massage was supposed to include special Chakra healing especially for new mothers (I think? That was the takeaway we got) and I was basically rubbed down with some Jergins while being instructed to do some NOT LEGIT Pranayama, had my stomach rubbed counter clockwise (?!) and clockwise, and then afterward, the masseuse just left the room for 5-10 minutes she returned and said "okay massage is over. I removed some blocks, you think too much, your breathing is bad, you have to do this [super not legit Pranayama] breathing every morning and everything will be better"
Huh? First, not to be crude, but Jergins is for hand jobs, not massage. I felt like I needed a shower from the smell immediately after. Second.... where do I start??? I am a certified Hatha, Prenatal, and Vinyasa Yoga teacher and instructing Pranayama is not something a novice should EVER be doing. I've received all kinds of massage and energy work all over the world and I have never left feeling upset and worse than when I arrived. Telling someone that they "think too much" and have "blocks" is not helpful, or any way to hold space after a "healing". It's vague and condescending and troubling. I rarely write negative reviews, but I would strongly discourage anyone from buying any snake oil from this place. Especially new mothers who are often vulnerable to begin with.

I did a Hatha yoga class at Om Family and I honestly believe it was the worst class in my 8 years of daily practice. I don’t often write reviews, but I felt I needed to given the positive reviews that brought me to this place.

The teacher was impersonal and didn’t interact at all with the students before, during, or after class. The sequencing was illogical, poorly conceived and executed. She also forgot on multiple occasions to complete the same poses on the other side. Her cues were either wrong, incomplete, badly pronounced, or she simply wasn’t using the right names for poses (e.g. upward dog vs cobra). She was also doing poses I have never seen in yoga (i.e. not yoga poses); poses that put undue stress on the knees and could cause injury to beginners. She kept cuing us to complete five breaths in the poses, but only gave time for two. She also left us in an abnormally long savasana at the end of class while she was vigorously stretching her hips.

Frankly, I would be surprised if she had an actual yoga teacher certification. Perhaps as a complete beginner, these classes would suffice as a light stretch after a long trek. However, I would be worried that it would put off prospective students from yoga altogether. Lastly, a class is 750 rupees (a really good meal, or double the price of a haircut), and in my humble opinion, definitely not worth it.

My heart fills with gratitude for the time spent learning with Happy at Om Family. I happened upon the 11 am meditation on my first morning after trekking, and found Happy radiating so much joy. I was immediately inspired to do Chakra healing, soon followed by Reiki II degree and Holistic Healing courses. The time spent with Happy has opened my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit to the infinite possibilities of love and light. The path of healing is truly beautiful, and transformation is strong. I feel blessed to be with such beautiful healers and am so supported in my own deep healing process. I have had the pleasure of working with many of Happy's students, and entered into a powerful healing connection with each person... a beautifully expanding community. Love, light, and gratitude, from my heart's center!

I arrived to Om Famiely searcing for a therapist to do some Reiki and Healing, after going through a series of treatments in a different place, the healing I received from Babaji was very powerful, full of love and respect, and the results were soon to come, releasing bad emotions and stress I carried in my body and soul for many years, after one week of treatment they literally disappeared!
So whether you are looking for a good massage, healing or Reiki treatment or Yoga session to relax before or after your trek, or just because you deserve it - i highly recommend to visit Om Family, and i know i surly visit there again (-:
