Myself and my brother traveled to Kathmandu over Christamas holidays 2019 to hike to EBC and knew Saran from a referral that a friend made from 7 years ago. Santosh and Saran made booking our trip very easy; they included nice hotels and airport pickups/dropoffs before/after the trek. We had a great trip with our trekking guide, Thakur, who was great company, very friendly, knowledgeable with great English and over 20 years of trekking experience. We changed our accommodation along the route to stay at the same tea houses as friends we met along the trek and overall had a great experience with no issues along the way. I will be passing on Saran/Santosh details to friends and coworkers that are interested in doing the trek in the future and would highly recommend Thakur as a guide as well! A note on cost as well - we were speaking to other groups and found that we had one of the most competitive prices. When speaking to Santosh on whatsapp for the first time I agreed to his first price with no negotiation as his price really was fair and honest. If I go back to Nepal I will be trekking with these guys again! Happy trekking!

If I could give this company 1,000,000 stars it wouldn’t be enough. We did Everest Base Camp in December, they looked after us so well and made our trip truly memorable and spectacular.

I had been in touch with Santosh for a year prior to our trip, and he was always on hand (on FB) to answer my questions in seconds. They are a local tour operator, which means they cost considerably less than the international tours on offer. As locals, they have all the right connections and know the mountain very well. They all started out in some way or another as porters, assistant guides, guides, etc. before starting their own highly successful operation.

When I go back for another adventure, I won’t use anyone else other than The Nepal Trekking Company. Words cannot describe how fantastic this company is, their service is beyond world-class and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an adventure in Nepal and surrounds.

Also, highly recommend Shraban Adhikari as your tour guide (make sure to ask for him!) he is fantastic. Proficient and fluent in English, highly knowledgeable and well connected with the locals you - won’t get a better guide.

Thank you for such a wonderful trip, I am truly amazed at your level of service!

We had an amazing trek to EBC which Shraban Adhikari and the team from the Nepal Trekking Company. Everything was so well organised from our arrival in Kathmandu until our departure. What really stood out for me was there caring attitude to everyone in our group and that we got excellent service in all the tea houses. Every night we got a special dessert which we really appreciated. Nothing was too much troulble for Shraban and he was always on hand to help and advise. He also made sure that safety came first on the mountain and was quick to make decisions .The trekking pace set ensured that the whole team was comfortable all the way to EBC. I would highly recommend them for any trekking in the Nepal region and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. They made the whole experience unforgettable.

My daughter and I did the ABC trek in late November of 2019. Our guide was Saran (a fun and lighthearted guy). The ABC trek is the perfect starter trek. Ours was 6 days of trekking with a day or two spent in Pokara for some sightseeing. You do need to be in shape for this trek because there are thousands of steps. I don't think they believe in switchbacks there. Be sure to have hiking poles. Also, keep your gear to a minimum. Ware a set of cloths and bring an extra pair with you. Don't plan on showering. Bring a pair of camp shoes in addition use a good pair of boots. I am 62 and have two knee replacements an am not overweight. I was definitely winded and the trekking poles saved me. It's not a cake walk, but very doable if you’re in half-decent shape. My daughter was 30 and had not problems. Youth has its advantages.

All the accommodations, transfers and meals were taken care of. All we needed to do was bring our gear. Saran was our guide. He was great and saw to all of our needs. He made sure we were fed, hydrated and slept comfortably. He watch out for my daughter and I, and kept us always pointed in the right direction. I never had any wants or worries on the entire trip. Upon conclusion of our trek, Saran invited me to join him in a great haircut and shave at his personal barber. That was a great experience in itself. I trust him completely and highly recommend the "The Nepal Trekking Company" for your trekking needs. Their prices are great and the company and staff are really professional! You'll have an incredible experience if you book with them. I would definitely use them for my next trip to Nepal. If I trust them to take care of my daughter, you can be sure I trust them with all my other needs. One other thing, our trip was planned less than 2 months prior to our departure. They were able to pull together everything very quickly due to their excellent contacts and knowledge of the area.

We were a party of 4 who had a good idea of what we wanted from our tip. I contacted Santosh Adhikari with our proposal, requesting the possibility of him arranging our itinerary. which he did with some additional enhancements with sightseeing tours on our free days with guide.
This was back in 2019 and we agreed the trip for April 2020 and paid the deposit. Covid put an end to that and we had to postpone until 2022. Santosh maintained contact throughout this time regarding the situation in Nepal and rearranged all the internal flights from Lukla and Pokhara.
The trip itself could not have run better. From the pick up on arrival from the airport to being dropped off again at the end.
Our guide for the trip for both the Everest and Annapurna regions was Shraban Adhikari, and could not have been better. Always ensuring we had the best rooms in the tea houses and always trying to get us rooms with private bathrooms. We even had another couple we met comment how good our guide was compared to theirs. His knowledge of the mountains, region and Nepalese culture was an education. He went over and above of what was expected and nothing was too much trouble. At the start and end of every day we would get a briefing on what to expect for that or the coming day, the routes we would be taking and any possible alternative routes we could choose to take.
All the porters too were first class, even after they reached the destination each day they would head back to meet us incase anyone required help with day sacks.

Dealing with the Nepal Trekking Company has been so easy. Communication responses were always very swift, even considering the time difference.
I cannot recommend The Nepal Trekking Company enough, other than to say, if you are considering trekking or sightseeing in Nepal, Santosh and Shraban will make your trip easy to manage. Look no further. Contact Santosh in the first instance, you will not be disappointed.

We did the tour to Annapurna Base Camp within 9 days (Poonhill included). It was just great! We received great advice from Santosh beforehand & in Nepal he even picked us up from the airport in Kathmandu and accompanied us from our accommodation a few days later to the bus to Pokhara. In Pokhara we were put up in a good hotel and met our trekking guide Shraban.
During the trek you could feel Shraban's 20 years of experience through his first class service & his knowledge of the landscape and mountains. We always had good accommodation (mostly even a private bathroom), delicious food according to our wishes and great conversations. We learned a lot and felt well looked after and safe.
We were also provided with a porter. Ganga, like Shraban, made sure we felt comfortable. In addition, the two of them made it possible for us to walk at different paces if necessary.

Even after the trip, the Nepal Trekking Company supported me by booking my flight ticket from Pokhara to Kathmandu and answering all my questions about Nepal and possible other treks in a friendly and detailed manner.

The time was great, I would book here again and can recommend the Nepal Trekking Company to anyone who is looking for a trip tailored to their needs with excellent service at a more than fair price.

We book a 2 week trekking holiday with Santosh Adhikari. We wanted a trip wich covered both the Everest region and the Annapurna regions. Together with Shraban Adhikari put together an absolutely amazing itinerary. Fitting in all the major hot spots. Namche Bazaar, Everest view point, Hilary School, Poon Hill for sunrise just to mention a few. Our guide Shraban worked hard and was always doing what he could to secure us rooms with private bathrooms which are not always available, but somehow he managed to pull strings and managed every night except one. His knowledge of all things Nepalese, be that culture or mountains and willingness to tell us about it was an education every day. With a couple of internal flights he made it so easy and arranged everything. The porters in both regions Ram and Gunger in the Everest side and Ramesh and Kancerdi on the Annapurna side were all excellent and very reliable and could not have been better.
I can not recommend The Nepal Trekking Co. Enough. From the very beginning when booking and dealing with Santosh to arrange it all, Righ through to the end. Everything ran without any problems. A five star company.

My wife and I have just completed 35 days trekking with The Nepal Trekking Company. We advised on locations we wished to visit and obtained suggestions and quotes from 3 of the best reviewed trekking companies.
The Nepal Trekking Company provided a competitive quote and listened better to what we wanted rather than trying to shoe horn our trek into their itinerary or trek as part of a large group.
Santosh arranged the itinerary, guide, porter, etc, was always available on WhatsApp pre arrival and met us at the airport and arranged the Kathmandu hotel free of charge.

But it was the quality of guide and porter that set them apart. We are seasoned backpackers and have travelled in Nepal without a guide/ porter and were interested to see how it impacted on the experience. If you are fortunate to trek with Suraj (guide) and Ganga (porter) you won’t be disappointed. They quickly get to know your individual likes/dislikes and match the hotel/room/daily trek and route to suit. They made us laugh, gave us all the local information and were always professional and considerate.
Tip them well - they deserve it!

I would get quotes from multiple companies as always and when you are reassured that these guys are competitive, then go with them as they are a cut above.

Finally the route. We didn’t want to retrek Everest/Annapurna where some of the beautiful paths have been replaced by dusty roads. The Manaslu Circuit (start Mache Kola), followed by a transition day to Koto (Suraj hitched us a lift on a tractor and trailer rather than walking the last 2-3 hours on the dusty road of lower Annapurna), then up the arid, remote Nar Phu valley to Phu and Nar, over the Kang La pass to drop into Manang to trek over Thorung La to crazy Muktinath then on to the Kophra Ridge is a great itinerary for Mountain views, seeing various Nepali and Tibetan villages and the challenge of 3 passes over 5,000 metres.

From the moment we wanted to start organising our trip (over 10months before), Santosh was extremely responsive and provided many options for our time before and after our LangTang Valley trek.

From the very clear itinerary provided before we even left Australia, to greeting us at the airport and taking us to our hotel, Santosh and team were there whenever we had any questions or queries.

When we departed for our trek, and made the drive to Syfraubesi, we stopped at numerous places for the best ever "wow" moments, something pictures would never be able to convey accurately.

On the day we left and for the following day, Santosh (our guide) and Suraj (our porter) made this the most memorable trip. So many laughs along the way, as well as being given in-depth knowledge and appreciation for LangTang National Park and Nepalese culture.

Each stop was enriching of our souls, and while some of the days were rough, Santosh and Suraj never stopped keeping our spirits up. Each day helped us feel more and more accomplished. Nothing was ever a problem or issue for our team, and this is down to the amazing customer- focused service from Santosh and Suraj.

After our track concluded (amazing 5 days), we sat and reminisced about our favourite parts of our trek and had a cold beer together to cheers our accomplishments.

Our drive back to Kathmandu and the service continued to be provided by Santosh allowing us to continue enjoying our holiday in Nepal (and expertly helped us with a booking to Bhutan).

Could not recommend Santosh and Nepal Trekking Company any higher (but if I could give 10 stars, it still wouldn't be enough).

Thank you Santosh and Suraj for making our dream of this trek come true and allowing us to leave with more love for Nepal in our hearts.
