I tried to pick the best tour service to go out and do this tour with and I couldn’t be happier with who I chose. Buddi, the contact for the company in Nepal was very detailed in what to expect. The trip started off with a pick up from my hotel. Upon arriving at the airport we met the other people going up on the ride. It was 5 of us total on the helicopter plus the pilot. We were delayed about an hour because it was too cloudy over at the mountain and it would not be worth us taking the helicopter ride and not be able to see anything. Buddi was very communicative when it came to the delay and why we were delayed. Once we got the green light to go we hopped on the helicopter and made our way to stop #1 which was Lukla airport. At Lukla airport we dropped off some excess weight (extra fuel containers), and headed on our way to stop #2. One our way to stop #2 you start flying through mountains and you even get your first glimpse at Mount Everest. Once in stop #2 more weight is dropped off. That includes passengers. To go up to the 18,000 feet high view point the helicopter needs to be as light as possible so more fuel containers were dropped off along with me and two other passengers. At this stop the view is amazing and you get ample time for pictures while the helicopter goes and comes back with the first group. Once the helicopter came back with the first group it was our time to go. We made our way up to 18,000 feet and landed at the viewpoint. It was an amazing view. At this point you only get about 5 minutes to do what you have to do. More than that and you start feeling woozy due to the high altitude and low oxygen levels. But believe me 5 minutes is enough. I can’t begin to describe what it felt like having the tallest mountain in the world right in front of me. The pilot also helped with the picture taking! Once times up we headed back to stop #2 to pick up the first group and the extra fuel containers that were dropped off. From here we go to hotel Mount Everest view for breakfast. Unless you are starving I suggest you skip breakfast. It’s $32 (overpriced) and it was not good at all. However the stop was mandatory so since you’ll be there it’s the perfect time to snap pics of the beautiful view. After the hotel you head back to stop #1 to refuel. Once refueled it’s time to finally go back home and enjoy the scenery on the way back. Back at Kathmandu airport you are loaded back up into the van and taken back to your hotel. Overall from start to finish the trip lasted about 5 hours (weather delay included). I would highly suggest you book your once in a lifetime tour with this tour company. They were helpful and clear throughout the entire process. To see my trip story go to my Instagram (@hanerstagram) to check it out if you need any extra convincing! Believe me you’ll will not be disappointed going with this tour!

Wow! An experience of a lifetime. I had to wait a couple of days as the weather wasn’t ideal but I was kept informed each evening by Buddhi who runs the tour. When I got notification that we were flying the next morning Buddhi arranged the pick up from my motel and everything ran smoothly. The view from the flight was breathtaking and Buddhi explained the different mountains that we were looking at. We landed at Lukla, Kala Patthar and Everest Hotel. Words can’t describe the perfect conditions and scenery that we were privileged to. I’d like to thank Buddhi for his professionalism in organising and running the tour. I would happily recommend this trip to anyone that is thinking about going to Everest without actually trying to climb it. Regards Nigel
