Unforgettable experience of 2 weeks in Langtang, through Ganja-La pass at more than 5000m – our greatest adventure in the safest possible conditions with Himalayan Sunrise Trekking, led by Bishnu! We look forward to another trip in Mustang with them.
It is hard to find words to describe this wonderful committed team of very professional people, so patient and kind, so knowledgeable!
They have been transporting through difficult conditions everything we needed to be comfortable: tents, mattresses, pillows, tables, chairs, besides our own gear, always with good humor and dedication.
Wherever we went, including on top of the mountains, we had healthy and amazing food freshly prepared each day from local ingredients, we even had pizza, and, on our last day, a special cake with icing – see picture! Warm meals at high altitude, even served directly in our tents when we were too worn out to sit in the special dining tent. Chaita is a great chef and brough a diversity of menus to our table.
In the morning they were waking us up with a choice of coffee or tea at the entrance of our tent, along with a basin of warm water. Everything was incredibly special: expresso coffee never missing at breakfast.
Surya was trekking at “my speed” I never felt being “slow” although I am a 62 years old woman. He took care of us on the way but also made sure we were not missing anything wherever we were camping. We have never had such a wonderful guide and we (my husband and I) want to trek again with him.
Everything was very safe, very professional: at each end of the day, we discussed the plan for the next one, looking on the map and evaluating what was best, taking into account everybody’s needs.
The whole team was great at quickly adapting to changing weather conditions, our speed, the changing environment. We highly recommend them to anyone trekking in Nepal!

Our 17 day non-trekking trip was tailor made for us after lots of discussions. Bishnu recommended several out of the way places to visit and we felt that we saw places we would never have discovered by ourselves. He gave us a marvellous driver, Chandra whose English was very good and who was determined that we would not be phased by the erratic driving of others! He never rushed nor took chances and we felt extrenely safe even when road conditions were poor. The accomodation chosen for us added greatly to our enjoyment too: some Homestay and some small hotels all of which gave a high level of service as well as a warm welcome. I cannot recommend this agency highly enough: Bishnu is a professional, thoughtful and warm man a(who listens to and is concerned for all his guests) and I have found that his staff have been chosen for the same qualities. All in all an outstanding, culturally diverse trip which will always be a highlight of our travelling-years... FYI we are 60 and 73 years of age.

After four weeks of trekking - two weeks with a large group and two weeks solo - I have no hesitation in saying Bishnu and his team at Himalayan Sunrise absolutely excel at what they do. The level of care and attention they provide is extraordinary, and their knowledge and experience shines in every aspect of your trek. Bishnu organized and took care of all the details for both our large, camping trek in the Nubri valley and my solo teahouse trek to Khopra Ridge, even arranging drivers and excursions when I had a couple of days to myself in Pokhara. He and his team have a gift for paying attention to all the small details without ever feeling intrusive. They were flexible and accommodating, while remaining highly conscious of health and safety. The guides and porters also are just really good people who have built great relationships with people all over Nepal, and it showed in the welcome we would receive in the teahouses and on the trail. I can't recommend Himalayan Sunrise and Bishnu Rai highly enough.

I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a two-week trekking adventure with Himalayan Sunrise Trekking and Expeditions, and I must say, it was the experience of a lifetime. Our journey took us from Matchakhola to Samagaon across the mesmerizing Nubri Valley, and every step of the way was a testament to the natural beauty and serenity of the Himalayas. Bishnu and his attentive team went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our group of around 30 people. Their years of experience were evident in their seamless operation. From carrying our bags and camping equipment to preparing delicious meals in field conditions, their commitment was unwavering. This level of dedication ensured that we could focus solely on enjoying the trekking experience without any worries. My heartfelt thanks to Bishnu and Himalayan Sunrise Trekking and Expeditions for a truly remarkable journey.

Bishnu, his guides and porters have taken very good care of me and my guests on more than on occasion. Most recently, Bishnu made the wise decision to change our itinerary due to inclement weather. The outcome was perfect, as many people who stayed with our original schedule were delayed or were not able to do the trek. Our group, thanks to Bishnu, had an amazing trip up the Langtang Valley, across a pass at 5,100 meters, and down through Helambu/Yolmo. This was a camping trek and the service was spectacular. People were so much more comfortable with the tents and additional support than a normal teahouse trek.
I can not say enough good things about Bishnu and Himalayan Sunrise Trekking and Expeditions!! I look forward to our next trip together....next year!

An outstanding guided trek to Everest Base Camp. Every aspect of our trip was well executed including a helicopter trip from Kathmandu to Lukla at the start of the trip and a plane ride back to to Kathmandu at the end of the the trek. Our guide Surya and our two porters were amazing. This was my second trip organized by Bishnu and I would highly recommend his company for anyone looking to plan a trek in Nepal!

This was one of the best trips I have ever been on. The itinerary for our Everest base camp trek was organized perfectly, our guide and porters were extremely friendly and capable, we felt safe the entire time and knew we would be taken care of should any concerns or issues arise. No one in our group felt ill, and our guide ensured that we ascended at a pace that would prevent this. He was also very knowledgeable of the geography and culture of villages and landmarks along the way.

This was my third trek this year with Himalayan Sunrise and all have been excellent. The guides and porters are all very experienced, knowledgeable, and extremely dedicated to ensuring our experience was a positive one. The trails were very busy and space at guesthouses was limited, so our guide took the initiative to set out early in the am to reach our destination and book our accommodation, then returned very quickly to meet us on the trail. His service was above and beyond. Highly recommended.

We went on a trek with this company, and it was the most amazing experience we’ve ever had! We felt very safe as two young women, and our guide was very caring and considerate, and he had very much experience and knowledge. Everything was very professional and taking care of, so the only thing we had to do was enjoy the walk. The trek was the most beautiful and spectacular thing we’ve ever done, and we’re really grateful that we chose this company, we felt as if we became friends with them all because they were so open hearted. Special thank you to Bishnu and Khagda, we will definitely come back again!
Would really recommend this to everyone!:)

I’ve just completed a Kathmandu and eastern lowlands tour that included only 2 others. Bishnu Rai is absolutely the most affable, kind, trustworthy, honest guide I’ve ever met. He brought us to many places that are not usually visited by tourists as well as to the must-see sights. He was clear, organized, flexible, resourceful. I cannot recommend Bishnu more highly and in fact I would give him 6 stars if I could.

Hello, I am thinking of going on a trek organized by your company in Manaslu area. It is the trip with George Hughes and Tergar Meditation group. I am not sure about whether it will be too difficult for me. I am female, 68, healthy, two replaced hips that work well so far. I swim and hike fairly regularly and would step up my program. I’m wanting to get a better idea of how far we go each day and how difficult the terrain is. Does this route include going up to 5100 meters through a pass? What kind of training would you expect is needed for fitness. How are oxygen levels? Is there someone I could speak to who is m6 age or near it that has done the trek?

I and my partner are 68 and 70. We trekked the Annapurna Circuit and we did just fine. We were slower than other young things around us - we went at our our pace. It is very important to have a good guide. Our guide was Surya from Himalayan Sunrise and he was fantastic at taking care of our physical needs and advising on altitude sickness. The trek was strenuous but well worth the effort. We are both reasonably fit. We went upto 5100m. My partner suffered some altitude sickness with head ache
And breathlessness but recovered very quickly on the downward journey.
