From the moment we met with Pasang Sherpa at the Calgary, AB Canada adventure show to the moment we landed in Katmandu to the conclusion of our Mera Peak trek, our group (2 Canadians & 3 Americans) was very impressed with the professionalism, expertise & care of the entire Mountain Sherpas team.

We were provided with a detailed itinerary at the onset of our planning phase (1 yr+) and Pasang Sherpa was very responsive to our team inquiries. At the time when deposits were requied, the payments were handled securely & efficiently.

We obtained Visas at the Napalese embassy prior to travel and this step streamlined the arrival process.

Tandi Sherpa attended to greet us at the Katmandu airport and transported us to our pre-trek hotel. The next day, Tandi Sherpa picked us up and transported us to the Mountain Sherpa arranged accommodation (Yak & Yeti Hotel). This hotel is centrally located and close to the Thamel tourist neighbourhood. That evening, we enjoyed an authentic cultural dinner including music & dance with our assigned guide, Mingmar Sherpa.

To assist with the time change the next day, we also toured the Swayyambhunath Stupa and Durbar Square.

Mountain Sherpas arranged air travel to Lukla on the next day and we arrived on time as planned.

The trekking experience was both exhausting & exhilarating and Mingmar Salaka Sherpa, our guide, expertly assessed & supported our progress everyday. He was positive, professional and attended to our every need. His leadership was exceptional and he was able adjust itineraries to accommodate specific members of our group. We were very fortunate to have him as our guide.

His assistant sherpas, Niima, Bimba & Roksha, we’re integral to the success of the trek. A special shout-out to Niima and Bimba for really stepping up when we needed them most.

Only one member of our climbing group made it to the summit due to a few health issues that affected our group along the way.

Upon our return to Katmandu, Tandi picked us up at the airport and took us to several locations, including the Boudhanath Stupa.

All in all, we had a terrific expedition and would highly recommend Mountain Sherpas as a go-to company for trekking in Nepal.

Dhanyabād!

Mountain Sherpa Trekking and Expeditions (MSTE) is owned and managed by three brothers. They were always reliable and on time in picking us up and did some extra transfers/side trips that were not part of our package. Our small group booked the Three (High) Pass Loop plus climbs of Lobuche East and Island Peak. Booking flights from KTM to Lukla is challenging and not always reliable. MSTE worked hard to secure direct flights for us, and when our flight was canceled due to a mechanical problem, they were able to quickly negotiate a helicopter into Lukla so there was no interruption in our schedule. The trek and climbs went as planned, with an excellent guide staff accompanying us. Our assistant guide and porter, Mingmar Sherpa was exceptional and always went out of his way to help us. Upon our return to Kathmandu, we had the chance to meet more of the brother's family, which made the experience even more personable. Pre-trip communication in English was always expedient and understandable. This is my second trip booked with MSTE (the first was Annapurna Circuit in 2010) and I hope to have the opportunity to book another trip with them in the future.

Our group ascended and skied Mera Peak over a two week trip duration. The entire staff from the admin staff, guide, and porters continually impressed throughout the trip. They blew away all of our expectations! Professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and eager to share the wonders of Nepal with us‐‐I would gladly hire Mountain Sherpa Climbing Expeditions again!

I have previously visited Nepal with Mountain Sherpa Trekking so when planning my second trip I knew who to call straight away. We had an amazing trip with our excellent guide Tashi, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable to our needs and the weather we encountered on our way. All aspects of the trek (Tilicho lake/Annapurna) and travel within Nepal were organised by the company making the trip very easy and relaxed. I would strongly recommend Mountain Sherpa Trekking to anyone considering a trip to Nepal.

I had previously used Mountain Sherpa to do the Annapurna Circuit Trek and went back to use them again to do a trek in the Everest region.

The trip was an amazing experience, a lot of which is due to Mountain Sherpa and our guide Pema. The trip was well organised and Mountain Sherpa are incredibly accommodating when it comes to changing aspects of an itinerary and putting a trip together. Pasang was quick to respond to all our queries and requests.

I have now done two trips with Mountain Sherpa and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to go trekking in Nepal.

The Annapurna circuit was a breathtaking high altitude romp around the Annapurna massif. I was successful in summiting the high point at thorung la pass, a lung crunching 17,769 feet above sea level. My guide Pemba was excellent in his knowledge of altitude trekking and ensuring my success in completing this trek. If your looking for a knowledgeable company to trek the Himalayas I strongly recommend mountain Sherpa trekking expeditions.

We were 3 days into the Manaslu Circuit trek when rockslides caused by unseasonable monsoons made the trail impassable. I was amazed at how quickly an alternate plan was put into place and executed. We switched to Annapurna Sanctuary and MSTE was able to get a private van for the next day. Others we met on Manaslu weren't so fortunate. Our guides were knowledgeable, professional, accommodating and pleasant throughout. It wasn't the trek we expected but thanks to MSTE it was the best it could be. Also of note, the pre-trip planning/communication, KTM airport transfers etc all went smoothly. I highly recommend MTSE.

The views were certainly amazing as expected. The service from Mountain Sherpa was outstanding. When a member of our group experienced knee problems, he was given a Sherpa to guide him in a more suitable trek for his capabilities. He got an amazing experience while the rest of the group continued on to Mera Peak. Further support and accommodation was made when three others of the party struggled with illness and stopped pursuing the summit. Only one out of the five made it to summit but the support along the way allowed us to still have a wonderful experience.

I just completed my 3rd Himalayan trek with Mountain Sherpa, the Annapurna circuit and Thorong La pass. At age 66 I did have some trepidation about such an undertaking. The guide and porter were outstanding, which was the same experience on my previous 2 treks with Mountain Sherpa. They were always so solicitous of my comfort and well-being! I lacked for nothing. Thank you so much, Mountain Sherpa, I will keep coming back as long as i can still get up the hill ;-)

My father and I had a fantastic 15 day trek to Everest Base Camp with Mountain Sherpa Trekking at the end of March through the beginning of April.

We arranged our trek in October of last year and Pasang was excellent to communicate with via email. We wanted to add some additional days to the standard route and he helped to create the perfect itinerary with excellent acclimatization. We walk very slowly so Pasang split some of the longer days into two days to help make the trek easier for us.

Upon arrival in Kathamandu, we were taken to our hotel (Sampada Garden), which was very nice, clean and within walking distance of Thamel. Tandi gave us a city tour of Kathamandu and even took us to some shops to purchase some last minute supplies before the trek (such as a sim card, data plan, Diamox etc...).

Our guide during the trek was Rinji and he was a great guide! He was very flexible and adaptable in regards to our schedule and he allowed us to make some changes when unforeseen circumstances occurred (such as getting sick, so instead of going from Dingboche to Lobuche we decided to go halfway in between and stay at Thukla so we could regain strength - it was a great decision and I highly suggest adding an additional day or two to the standard itinerary to allow for flexibility). He was also very understandable that we walk slow and that it would take us longer than average to reach each village. Rinji was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable too - overall a great guide who helped to make our trek a fantastic experience!

Our porters, Nima and Mingma, were excellent as well! They were very helpful and patient and they would carry our day packs when we were sick or had back pain. They took good care of us and together Nima, Mingma and Rinji made a fantastic team!

Overall, we had an amazing and memorable trek with Mountain Sherpa Trekking and we would highly recommend the company and our guide and porters! Thanks to everyone!
