28 days, Jiri - Lukla - Dingboche - Gokyo - Khumjung - Thame - Lukla. From our first contact with Visit Himalaya Treks, until we were safely back home we got very quick and excellent follow up on all enquiries, and all the help we needed. Including arranging a helicopter out of Lukla after a heavy snowfall that cut electricity, internet and most phone services.

I am so thankful to Visit Himalaya Treks and Himal Tamang ( the founder ) for organizing my trip on very short notice. He responded to my emails promptly and made the trip possible. All the staff I met exceeded my expectations and I had the most excellent experience. I had a friend who had trekked with Himal in the past and I truly valued her opinion and experience so I felt comfortable being a solo female traveller that I would be in good hands. I was so happy to support and book with a local company. The night I arrived in Kathmandu, I was greeted by Raj, and my guide Ngima and together with the driver I was taken to my clean and comfortable hotel Aryatara Kathmandu Hotel. Getting picked up at the airport was very appreciated and made it easy and allowed me to meet Ngima before our trek began. The very next morning I was picked up and the adventure began as we were off to the airport and flew to Lukla to begin our 12 day Everest Base Camp Trek. On arrival I met Sonam who would complete our group of three - me, Ngima as guide and Sonam as porter. I had the most wonderful weather to base camp with clear skies that allowed me many chances to see Mount Everest along the way - but the early morning hours after base camp it started to snow non stop for over 24 hours so our descent was through 1 1/2 feet of snow but it was amazingly beautiful to see the area covered in snow and actually made it easier on my knees and hip to walk through the packed snow and not as many uneven steps. Ngima, Sonam and I enjoyed the winter wonderland and we did not let this change in weather dampen our spirit - however others were impacted by the snow by not getting further up or flights out so we were very lucky with the timing of the snow. Along the way up and down - the tea houses that were chosen for us to stay at were more than I expected - although they were cold - I was prepared with my very highly rated sleeping bag and the clothing to keep me warm. The food at the tea houses was always very good and I really enjoyed the dal Bhat and momos . Ngima made sure I was doing good along the way and was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out the mountains and answered any questions I had . Very often Ngima and Sonam played Nepalese music so it was very enjoyable walking and listening as it added to the experience. I love to take photos ( and so did Ngima) so it was easy to just ask to stop or pause whenever I wanted to take or have a photo taken - and since it was just us 3 - we were able to take the time to do fun photos during the trek. I have so much respect for the hard work and job that Ngima and Sonam do and am forever thankful to have met these wonderful 2 young men that made my trip so very fulfilling. Ngima continues to take more courses to improve his guiding opportunities and Sonam works hard to support his young family so if you have the chance to request these men- you will be in such great hands . What I also really appreciated from the company was that the internal flights to and from Lukla were taken care of for me- I was very happy with the tea house accommodations chosen for us , my meals and park fees were all taken care of so I could just enjoy my surroundings and accomplish getting to base camp and checking off another thing on my ‘live list’. Back in Kathmandu I also had asked Himal if it was possible to recommend a tour and he provided his driver Dalsur and a guide Mukta Ram Acharya for an incredible day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. I also went for dinner that night and thank you to Himal for taking me to Bhojan Bhumi Restaurant for an incredible meal and Nepalese cultural experience. I went to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp and left the country with amazing new friends . Ngima surprised me by coming to the hotel to see me off at the airport - he told me that I came as a client but leave as family and I felt the same way. Thank you to Himal,Raj, Dalsur, Mukta and much gratitude to Ngima and Sonam for an unforgettable journey. This company exceeded my expectations - I highly recommend Visit Himalaya Treks and will book with the company again in the future.Namaste

Visit himalaya is a topnotch trekking agency. A amazing adventure we went through with the them and the two legend, Fulkumar as our porter and Krishna our guide. It was a blast, we loved every minutes of it even in the crispy cold night in the mountain. Fulkumar and Krishna are both true professionals and amazingly responsible during the total 23 days. With great every day little attention like afternoon tea & cookies and pomegranate after meals! Kuddos guys!!! It was a pleasure to trek with them, it always felt safe and we loved it. These two guys deserved the gold medals no doubt about it. From the beginning through the first emails until the border drop off on the last morning Visit Himalaya was always perfect. Thank you so much guys for all the hard work and the once in a lifetime experience. We will definitely come back soon for another adventure with you guys no doubt about it.

Had an absolute blast with my girlfriend doing the 14 day everest base camp trek! Hamal and raj were extremely helpful with answering any questions we had about the trek. when we reached Lukla airport we were greeted by our amazing guide Ram who did an amazing job guiding us through the beautiful Himilayan Ranges. He made our trip effortless and was always in high spirits! After our trek in the himilayas we decided to do a trip To Chitwan National Park for 3 nights which i highly recomend if you have the time. The guide was yet again experienced and informative and there were plenty of exciting things to do for each of the action packed Days. overall everything went smoothly, Hamal and Raj were very helpful with anything we needed and always offered friendly services such as taking us to the hotel and picking us up which made our stay in kathmandu also more pleasant. I could not recommend this company enough as It was one of the most memorable experiences I have had.
